India’s Subversive Role in Afghanistan

During his trip to India and Kabul in June, this year, by reviving old blame game, US Defence Secretary of State, Leon Panetta repeatedly stated that drone attacks would continue on safe havens of terrorists in Pakistan, while accusing the Haqqani network for some of the deadliest attacks in Afghanistan.On the other side, Leon Panetta encouraged India to take a more active role in Afghanistan as most foreign combat troops leave in 2014. India which has already invested billion of dollars in Afghanistan, signed a wide-ranging strategic agreement with that country on october 5, 2011 also includes to help train Afghan security forces.
While taking note of India’s subversive role in Afghanistan, US Republican Senator John McCain reminded the Obama administration that encouraging India to take a more active role in Afghanistan, while simultaneously criticising Pakistan could be a recipe for disaster.
In fact, since the US-led NATO forces occupied Afghanistan, stiff resistance of the Taliban militants which created unending lawlessness in the country has made it a most conducive place for India to play strategic game against Pakistan, China and Iran. For this purpose, New Delhi with the cooperation of the Karzai-led regime and with the tactical support of US and Israel has been obtaining its clandestine aims, while America and Israel are also doing the same.
In this respect, Indian RAW with the assistance of American CIA and Israeli Mossad has well-established its espionage network in Afghanistan. Besides, in a religious Madrassa of Wakhan, located in Afghanistan is functioning under the patronage of Indian officials. It is being used for brainwashing of very young boys who are Afghans, Uzbeks and Tajiks including so-called Indian Muslims. Posing themselves as Taliban, they have joined the ranks and files of the Pakistani Taliban. In this context, India’s several secret training camps are also present in Afghanistan from where highly trained militants, equipped with sophisticated weapons are being sent to Pakistan’s various places to conduct target killings, bomb blasts, suicide attacks, assaults on civil and military installations and forced abductions including ethnic and sectarian violence regularly.
In this connection, on June 28, the released Indian spy from Pakistani jail, Surjeet Singh openly admitted by saying, “I was a RAW agent. Regarding another Indian spy who is in Lahore jail, Surjeet Singh revealed, “Sarabjit Singh is a terrorist and terrorists are not released.” However, both the spies were responsible for the string of blasts in Faisalabad, Lahore, and Multan in 1990 in which several innocent people were killed.
Nevertheless, by manipulating American ambivalent approach and duplicity in relation to Pakistan, China, Iran and even Afghanistan, New Delhi has been extracting full benefits. In this context, US which signed a nuclear deal with India in 2008, intends to make India a great power of Asia to counterbalance China by separating Pakistan’s province of Balochistan due to its geo-strategic location with Gwadar seaport including mineral resources. For these purposes, RAW is assisting CIA and Mossad which have also been supporting subversive acts in Balochistan through Baloch separatist elements like Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) and another group, Jundollah (God’s soldiers). These secret agencies are also backing similar acts of sabotage in the Iranian Sistan-Baluchistan including Tibetan regions of China. In this context, Tehran had directly accused CIA and other similar agencies for funding of terrorist attacks, while diverting the attention of Iran towards Islamabad through secret propaganda.
It is noteworthy that in the recent years, several persons died in the terror-incidents and ethnic riots occurred in various regions of China’s Xinjiang-the largely populated Muslim province. For all the incidents, India blamed Pakistani militants for supporting the insurgency in order to deteriorate Sino-Pak ties. In fact, New Delhi which had given shelter to the ex-Tibetan spiritual leader, Dalai Lama and his militants has been playing a key role in backing upsurge in the Tibetan areas of China.
During the Swat and Malakand military operations, while hinting towards India, the former Maj-Gen Athar Abbas had revealed in on of the press briefings that 400 foreigners and Afghans, having connections with the enemy countries were captured along with huge caches of sophisticated weapons, made of India and America—Afghan fighters had been infiltrated into Pakistan with the help of some external agencies bordering Afghanistan. Recently, Interior Affairs Adviser Rehman Malik also expressed similar thoughts. Earlier, he has openly disclosed that RAW was behind terror-acts in Pakistan, especially Karachi.
Notably, RAW and Afghan Khad have increased attacks inside Afghanistan, particularly targeting American soldiers with the sole aim to revive old blame game of the US against Islamabad and Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI in relation to cross-border-terrorism.
Regarding Indian activities in Afghanistan the then NATO commander, Gen. McChrystal had pointed out: “Indian political and economic influence is increasing in Afghanistan…is likely to exacerbate regional tensions.” It is notable that after the withdrawal of NATO troops in 2014, US has decided to maintain its six military bases in Afghanistan. Thus, America not only seeks to protect Indian influence in Afghanistan, but also control the energy resources of Central Asia as part of secret agenda against Pakistan, China, Iran and Russia. While playing double game with each other, India wants to entrap America permanently in Afghanistan so as to achieve its secret goals by harming the US interests. India also seeks to furhter strengthen its grip there to get strategic depth against Pakistan.
It is of particular attention that Pakistan is the only nuclear country in the Islamic world. Therefore, India and Israel with the assistance of America are creating instability in the country. Besides, by engaging US in Afghanistan and in blame game against Pakistan in connection with safe havens of Haqqani group, both India and Israel intend to divert the attention of Washington from their own atrocities, being perpetrated on the innocent Palestinians and Kashmiris. In this regard, they have also succeeded in distracting the attention of President Obama from the solution Kashmir and Palestinian issues.
In pursuance of its sinister designs, New Delhi is silent over American losses such as cost of war on terror, amounting to 8 trillion dollars, increase in defence budget and acute financial crisis inside the US homeland. Drug and kidnapping are some other source of Indian income in Afghanistan. According to an estimate, world’s 90% heroin is cultivated in Afghanistan. So money earned through drug-smuggling and hostage-takings is utilised in buying weapons, being sent to the foreign agents and the insurgents in Pakistan.
But militants are well-organised from Afghanistan to Somalia and from Yemen to the Indian-held Kashmir. So, if it wants to weaken Pakistan through subversive acts, different war by the insurgents will also envelop India where New Delhi has failed in controlling the wars of liberation in Kashmir and other regions including Maoists’ movement.
In the recent years, a number of conferences were held in order to bring stability and peace in Afghanistan before the foreign troops complete withdrawal from that country in 2014. Another major purpose was to conclude a peace deal with the Afghan militants. After the recent Tokyo conference on Afghanistan, efforts to convince Taliban for talks with the Kabul government have been increased and Pakistan has been requested to play an important task in this regard. During the recent tripartite meeting in Kabul, British Prime Minister David Cameron and Afghan President Hamid Karzai met Pakistan’s Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf, and reiterated Islamabad’s support for durable peace and stability in Afghanistan. Pakistan agreed to redouble efforts in facilitating these talks with the Afghan militants.
Particularly, US should realise that unlike India, there is a co-relationship of stability in Afghanistan and Pakistan, which is essential for American global and regional interests. In case, Indian subversive role continued in Afghanistan, the war-torn country will be thrown in an era of uncertainty and civil war. In that scenario, all the efforts of the US-led NATO and other western countries will prove fruitless. And Pakistan will not be in a position to help in bringing peace and stability in Afghanistan.
At this crucial hour, Pakistan and US are further improving their relations, after the apology of US Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton for the killing of 24 Pakistani troops last September and in return securing the reopening of NATO supply lines into Afghanistan. Especially, America must remain alert as India could conduct any subversive act in Afghanistan to thwart the Pak-US new rapprochement.

South Asia Free Media Association keeps watch regarding seven countries of the world but only speaks against Pakistan and its armed forces.“These people are being funded with hundreds of thousands of Rupees from abroad. The media information war which is the fourth generation war has been staged against Pakistan”, says senior lawyer Ahmed Raza Qasoori while talking to Daily Azkar.
Supreme courts senior advocate Ahmed Raza Qasoori has said that our petition against Safma will prove to be a bigger case than Memo gate in the history of Pakistan.Why is it that safma operates and keeps watch about seven countries of the world but maligns only Pakistan and its armed forces .Ahmed Raza Qasoori, the barrister representing Syed Zaid Zaman Hamid the flag bearer of Takmeel-e-Pakistan and Khilafat-e Rashida, has filed a petition in the Supreme Court of Pakistan in which he has accused the organization of SAFMA for fighting a war against the ideological foundations of our country and our armed forces and he has appealed to start proceedings against safma leadership as guilty of high treason.

Last night while talking to “Azkar”, Ahmed Raza Qasoori stated that South Asia Free Media Association operating in each of the seven SAARC countries keeps an eye on all of them but persists in consistently maligning Pakistan and its armed forces. Why is it that SAFMA never criticized India and its armed forces for a change?When Ahmed Raza Qasoori was inquired as to whether this case will be accepted for legal proceedings,he responded in affirmative saying, "definitely yes because this will be a bigger case than memo gate as it has put our national security at stake”. Ahmed Raza Qasoori accused further that safma is being funded with hundreds of thousands of Rupees from abroad which is a bribe for their propaganda against Pakistan and its armed forces. He said that the world knows that in the past I have taken up cases and made decisions that were in the best interest of the country and the nation. He stated that the 4G war has started against Pakistan and we have to counter it and foil it. India's war strategy of cold start is also being imposed upon us and we will continue our efforts to counter it.

When the Pakistani team insisted that it be given the chance, Indian officials angrily replied that the panel had no such mandate despite the fact the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate appointed as Judicial Commission by the Chief Justice of Mumbai High Court for recording the evidence in compliance to the order of Anti Terrorism Court No1 Rawalpindi in his order had allowed to the defence lawyers as well prosecutors to cross examine. Another panel member said that proceedings had been completed in only two days. The panel is due to leave India on Wednesday. Documents of proceedings, including statements of the Chief Investigator, Lady Magistrate and two doctors will be sent to Pakistan by the Indian government through formal diplomatic channel, sources familiar with the matter further revealed.

Indian Spy arrested in Karachi, Pakistan

KARACHI: Police arrested an alleged Indian spy from Malir Khokrapar, in Karachi, early Wednesday morning. Dinesh Chandar was arrested by the members of the Police Special Branch. They also recovered an Indian identity card and maps of villages and cities in Pakistan. Special Branch’s prosecution cell has registered a case against the alleged spy. He is currently being held at the Mithadar police station.
In late February, Hyderabad police claimed to have arrested an Indian agent spying on the Pakistani army’s bases and troop movement and conveying that information to the Indian army. DSP Yaqoob Jat had said that the alleged spy had been living in Pakistan under the alias of Inayatullah Mir, who hailed from Azad Kashmir. However, his real name turned out to be Owais Saleem, who belonged to Occupied Kashmir.

SAFMA’s Episode: A Question of Dignity
Even if I try ‘hard’ to pay a deaf ear to the ideological battle that is being waged, the innate sensory perception and upright nature with which every human being is born would not let some of the most obvious vibes go unnoticed. I have not mastered the skill to perfectly comprehend and catch every strike of the expression, be it our facial expressions or our body language; but something which has created a hype in the recent days all over the media is the recent program hosted by Dr. Shahid Masood named Shahid Nama; guest speakers Syed Zaid Zaman Hamid and Marvi Sirmed, has strengthened my faith in my visual and comprehension abilities( Watch full program here ).
I have started realizing how an unnatural and false display of a countenance and composure ‘deceives’ ones ownself, the very moment when the person is exposed to the truth and confronted with the truth. Marvi Sermed’s reactions throughout the program was a testimony to it. Great people say, “Actions speak louder than words”. I would like to reiterate it, “Expressions speak more than a thousand words”, and what added insanity to the uncomfortable and baffled facial expressions was the undignified and spastic repetition of ‘khurafaat’ on every holy verbal expression from Zaid Hamid’s side, like ‘innalillah wainna elehi rajioon’ and ‘astaghfirullah’- the sacred expressions which each and every Muslim of this land and from every corner of the world, is prescribed to respect and to find the reverence of these phrases seeped deep down in their hearts.
It is the training and respect that I have learned from my elders that I witnessed getting so disrespectfully snubbed from Marvi’s side. ‘The spiritual inheritance’ or ‘rohaani asaas’ referred to as ‘khurafaat’ to the extent article 62 and 63 being termed as ‘khurafaat’. I can only thank my Lord first and then Syed Zaid Hamid for revealing the true identities and associations of these ‘so-called’ patriots and flag holders of ‘freedom of expression’ maligning and corrupting the very Islamic foundations of my land and the land of 17 crore populace; whose soil still smells of the blood of 50 lac martyrs who have laid down their lives for the freedom of Islamic social values and culture.
The ‘outright stupidity’ with which Sirmed labelled Syed Zaid Hamid, flies in her own face when she lamely criticizes and demands proofs constantly like a cry baby trying to cover up the helplessness of not finding any concrete argument for her defense and for the defense of SAFMA whose ‘ideological personification’ is what we can see in the form of ‘Marvi Sermed’; she should have done the homework on her part well and atleast should have kept herself updated with regards to various programs done by Zaid Hamid which are practically present in multitudes ranging from defense of regional frontiers extending upto global defense and strategic analysis and guarding Pakistan ideologically and physically from the clutches of each and every horrid attack that is waged.
It’s not Zaid hamid who has neglected the voice of every patriotic heart irrespective of which province does he or she belongs to; rather it is Marvi and SAFMA who have pathetically failed to represent or even voice a mere stance against the atrocities which our Kashmiri brothers and sisters are afflicted with, and resorting to ‘Aman ki Asha’! And we as Pakistanis cannot forget, unlike SAFMA lunatics, that Quaid-e-Azam had called Kashmir as the Juguler Vein of Pakistan and he himself initiated the 1947 jihad in Kashmir to push Indian soldiers out of Kashmir, which today SAFMA traitors ignore completely by calling as "Not a part of our country". The quintessential example presented as a stark contrast to the fore mentioned personality was Syed Zaid Hamid with his customary most exceptional dignity, patience, and respectful attitude, brilliant and crisp facts; whose silence even gave an expression to thousands of words which connected and resonated with the thousands of hearts across Pakistan. Despite being faced with derogatory words, he kept his dignity intact. My nation, my youth needs such an example to follow, encompassing in him a blend of uprightness, truthfulness and a daring uncompromising stance on the honor of this sacred land of ours.
All I can wonder at is how this episode has consolidated and brought the whole of the Muslim Ummah on one wing and how divinely separating, practically sifting and unmasking the fractions standing against the very strong undeniable ideological and physical existence of our country. Leaving no question for every sane mind; who won the argument and who pathetically lost it. Here I would like to mention that I am a student of English literature and linguistics and not some half baked fundamentalist who follow slogans without analyzing the truth by themselves. It’s the voice of my heart that compelled me to express my views. It is the pain which I can feel piercing my heart when I see my Ideology being a Muslim and a Pakistani being blatantly tarnished and played with so easily, by none other than the ones who are serving the foreign agenda with their massive confusion, disinformation and propaganda warfare being waged on Pakistan.
But I am brimming with hope at the same time. The awakening patriotic youth stands with me now. They own this land. They will not let the sanctity of their Islamic fortress, the outcome of their Quaid’s struggle be taken away so easily. May Allah swt be the protector and guardian of this land to whom we owe each and every drop of our blood. We take an oath to defend her from every axis being opened at her. We will fight this filthy war with dignity and honour till our last breath.

Gen. Kayani slams NATO-ISAF backed TTP cross-border attacks on Pakistan
ISLAMABAD - Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani on Friday asked the NATO-led International Security(Terrorism) Assistance Force (ISAF) to prevent cross-border Taliban attacks from Afghan soil on Pakistani checkposts. A USZ embassy statement reported that NATO-ISAF Afghanistan Commander General John R. Allen visited Pakistan to meet with General Kayani. They discussed topics of mutual interest and ways to improve regional security. The statement did not discuss the recent cross-border raids in Pakistan’s frontier regions.
However, a Pakistani security official privy to the talks said General Kayani spoke at length about Pakistan’s concerns over recent cross-border CIA-RAW backed Pakistani Taliban attacks on Pakistani checkposts in Chitral and other border regions. The official said General Allen was told the Pakistani Taliban fled to Afghanistan after military operations in Pakistan and were now operating from Afghanistan’s Kunar and Nuristan provinces but neither NATO forces nor the Afghan Army were trying to stop the attacks.
Around 300 TTP Taliban militants attacked seven Pakistani checkposts in Chitral a few days ago and killed and injured Pakistani border troops and kidnapped a group of Pakistani boys from Bajaur tribal region after which the Foreign Office summoned the Afghan envoy to lodge a formal protest. An ISPR statement said General Allen’s trip to Pakistan also included a visit to 11th Corps Headquarters in Peshawar for an operational update and discussions about security near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. This was General Allen’s first visit to Pakistan as NATO ISAF Commander Afghanistan.

How India's RAW controls media - Detailed Report
This is the age of information, the IT and above all the media, both print and electronic. It is said that after the renaissance of media across the world, the wars are fought and won with the media being on the frontline. Be it US attack on Iraq or be it terror attack in India, the media is immensely used to propagate one’s views and perception. The media endeavors are extensively manipulated to change the world opinion in own favor and against the enemy. Almost all the governments have given a free hand to their respective intelligence agencies to manipulate media and fund the media organizations and individuals to gain the required results. No matter if it is the CNN journalists embedded US troops, invading Iraq or venom emitting Indian journalists and TV Anchors targeting Pakistan after the Mumbai carnage, the Intelligence hands are always their to direct them and to fund them.
However, Indian Intelligence Agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW)has taken the issue more seriously than its contemporary agencies in the region and even across the world. A comprehensive investigation into the matter by the team of investigative journalists of The Daily Mail reveals that in fact RAW moved into the direction of utilizing media factor almost 30 years back. In the mid 80s, when Rajiv Gandhi was the Prime Minister of India, RAW sent a media related proposal to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) which was straight away approved. According to this proposal, RAW was given a free hand to use as much as required funds to make a solid grip on national and international media. Initially, RAW came up with a long term project through which, RAW started short listing young, potential and ambitious Indian journalists and later started penetrating them to different media organizations across the world. Today, according to rough estimate, 90 percent of the Indian or Indian origin journalists working in different media organizations through out the world, are those having the RAW blessings and one way or the other, promoting Indian perception and delivering to the RAW’s requirements.
In the 2nd phase, RAW started funding local media organizations in India and also started buying the services of journalists working in the foreign countries’ leading media organizations. According to a Japanese journalist, who worked in India for a Japanese news agency for about 3 years, the India-based foreign journalists are very well “look after” and “entertained” by RAW officials who develop interaction with these foreign journalists as very warm but mysterious friends. These India-based foreign journalists are at least once a year, are offered a vacation trip to Dubai where their boarding, lodging and even shopping, are all paid off by their “friends”. According to some reports, RAW is practicing the same with certain Islamabad-based foreign journalists.The Daily Mail’s investigations reveal that RAW started another project around five years back under which Air Time is purchased on popular English language international television channels and then during that air time, special programs are televised to promote India’s view point with RAW’s perspective. India Hour on BBC is one of the examples in this direction.
The Daily Mail’s investigations further reveal that RAW launched a mega project to control regional journalists and to bring them to a secret RAW platform when it established South Asian Free Media association (SAFMA) a few years back. The SAFMA, the darling baby of RAW has so far been focusing on highlighting the issue of Indian occupied Kashmir with RAW’s perspective and nothing much or more. The members of SAFMA, whenever asked as to how they manage to generate funds for the highly lavish functions and seminars under its banners since all of them are paid employees of different media organizations of South Asia, remain mum.
Back home, RAW is not only funding individual columnists and intellectuals but is also comprehensively funding a number of newspapers and television channels. RAW not only makes direct payments to a variety of regional and English language newspapers but also arrange advertisement support for these media organization. Many of these newspapers are run as “projects” of RAW and all assets are owned by the agency itself. Some the newspapers that are getting regular RAW funding and patronage include India News, Aajkal, Al-Hyndelyom, Asia News, Bharat Observer, The Christian Messenger, Daily Excelsior, Daily Roshni, The Daily India, Dakhshan bharat, Deshdoot, The Echo of India, Daily Greater Kashmir, Daily Jaihind, Kashmir Times, Kashmir Observer, Maharashtra Times, Nagalnd Post, Daily Phayul, Rajdhani Times, Daily Saij etc. These newspapers despite getting direct funding from RAW, also have the blessings of getting government advertisements and advertisements of leading Indian Business houses, having extraordinary relations with RAW. Furthermore, all the Indian airliners have strict orders from RAW to purchase these newspapers for on-board circulation. Apart from these newspapers support, RAW has also ‘gained” the “services” of different columnists, reporters and analysts at top media organizations like Times of India, Indian Express, The Hindu and Hindustan Times etc.
Coming towards the Electronic media of India, RAW has made remarkable achievement in diluting media with Intelligence endeavors. It is not only funding different anchors and analysts but RAW has established a huge network in shape of ZEE T.V. Though RAW spends a huge chunk of money to achieve targets by funding 9x News, Aajtak, NDTV 24x7, Times now, TV9, Time TV etc, yet it runs the most venomous news Channel the Zee TV. Zee News’s offices are considered to be Media Headquarter of RAW. The Investigations of The Daily Mail further reveal that RAW controls a whole paraphernalia of media network including ZEE TV and Films Network, Asian News International (ANI) etc.. The ZEE network retains the pivotal position in this RAW controlled propaganda and misinformation spiral It was actually RAW that has been the master mind behind the establishment of ZEE Television Network.
According to our sources the proposal for establishing a private sector television channel actually under the control of Indian intelligence agency was first presented to the Late Indian Prime Minister Mrs. Indira Gandhi. The proposal could not materialize at that time as Mrs. Gandhi had certain reservations about giving more powers to RAW for she suspected it of being behind her earlier electoral defeat at the hands of another Late Prime Minister of India Mr. Murar ji Desai. However, Indian movie star Amitabh Bachan who was a personal friend of Rajiv Gandhi got the cue. His brother later reportedly siphoned part of the Rs.64 crore kick-backs of the Swedish Bofor guns deal into setting up a private satellite channel by the name of TV Asia.
The ZEE Television Network was formally launched in 1992 with Subhas Chandra as the Chairman and Vasant Parekh as the founding member on its Board of Directors. It was agreed to induct and employ a certain number of RAW operatives in all cadres of the network. RAW personnel were thus recruited amongst the programme producers, anchors, newscasters, and even amongst the marketing and business managers. The arrangement facilitates RAW to send its agents undercover to Pakistan and even other countries. Having a media tag gives these operatives an easy access to cultivate a number of personalities in the target country, which would have been otherwise difficult. The broad outline of the propaganda objectives of ZEE TV defined by RAW were:
- Undermine the ideological frontiers of Pakistan through oft repeated Indian rhetoric of cultural and social uniformity of South Asian sub-continent;
- Malign Pakistan by a deliberate negative projection of the events and developments in the country. The aim was to systematically build a poor image of Pakistan may it be in the context of internal political developments, religious or social events, women issues, child labour, brick kiln workers, Ahmedi or Christian minorities, secretarian clashes, Mohajar ethnic movement, foreign policy or bilateral relations with India. Although human rights violations, social, cultural, religious and economic problems exist at a much gigantic proportion in India these were to be downplayed in Indian context;
- Projection of India as a modern secular and progressive state which is the world’s largest democracy;
- Propagation of India’s foreign policy objectives and its position on Kashmir;
- Promotion of Hindu mythology through serials based on mythology as well as soap operas telecast on the network.
ZEE lays special emphasis in cultivating prominent personalities in Pakistan for accomplishing the ideological agenda. Bigwigs in Pakistani entertainment and show biz, poets, writers, eminent sportsmen and politicians are a prime target. The common modus operandi is that Pakistani celebrities are invited as chief guests or special guests to various ZEE programmes. A lot of praise is showered, calling them artists whose talent is not restricted by any boundary, frontier or divide and that the people of the two countries love each other, only the politicians conspire to keep them separated. Overwhelmed by the tremendous show of hospitality the artist either ends up unwillingly endorsing the host’s views or says something that is construed to be negating the ‘Two Nation’ basis of Pakistan’s independence. According to credible information RAW also sponsors organizing of performances, shooting of videos and securing of contracts for Bollywood movies and entertainment agencies for some of these personalities belonging to the Pakistan entertainment, film and music.
The enormous success of ZEE in South Asia and Middle East encouraged its sponsors to target the Asian viewers in Britain and Europe. The prime objective was to disillusion the expatriate Pakistanis and Kashmiris from their ideological basis. Britain being the home of largest Kashmiri refugee community outside Asia has become a cause of concern for the Indian establishment. The growing influence of Kashmiri community in the political circles of UK, their frequent protests over the human rights violations in the Indian held Kashmir and demand for the right of self-determination for Kashmiris is often embarrassing for the Indians.
ZEE UK was therefore launched in 1995. The ZEE’s strategists, however, realized that Braitain and Europe was a different ball game. To lure the Pakistani expatriates it was decided to telecast a mix of Indian and Pakistani programmes. It is learnt that a team was sent to Pakistan to negotiate the purchase of PTV programmes for telecast on ZEE UK. ZEE was able to procure from the PTV library many classical dramas, the most recent hit telecasts, musical programs, special occasions telecasts for Eid, Muharam, Ramadan including and other purely Islamic religious programs. These programs were reportedly sold to the ZEE at throw away prices. The PTV establishment of the time credited itself for having sold the programmes with no other clientele. Little did they know the diabolic use that ZEE had planned for these programs. However, PTV authorities maintain that some of its programs were recorded off air by a Lahore based spurious company and sold to ZEE TV. Subsequently PTV obtained a court injunction to stop ZEE from telecast of some of its programs. Nonetheless this gap is now filled by the private productions that have mushroomed in Pakistan over the last few years.
The ZEE UK program managers ran an extra-mile in their endeavors to establish it as a neutral TV of the entire South Asian community in Europe. The propaganda against Pakistan was deliberately kept sublime in the initial year of its launching. However, it continued its policy of reporting negative developments in respect of Pakistan and black outing positive aspects may it be as non political news as winning a cricket match by Pakistan. Nonetheless, ZEE’s one sided hype during events such as the Kargil conflict and later during the Mumbai terror attacks gave away any semblance of neutrality that the channels had been portraying. The propaganda blitz unleashed by ZEE since the take over by the BJP appointed RAW administration has exposed the real face of the channel and the Indian government’s propaganda campaign; the Central Press Accreditation Committee (PIB), Film Advisory Committee (DFF) and Hindi Advisory Committee.
It is popularly believed in the South Asian community in UK that ZEE-RAW nexus was fully unveiled during the RAW staged hijacking drama of an Indian airliner in December 1999. Throughout the hijacking drama ZEE newscasters and expert panelists many among whom were actually undercover RAW officials, continued to narrate RAW orchestrated script like parrots in an unbelievable frenzy. ZEE was further exposed by completely biased reporting following the RAW staged spate of attacks in India after September11 such as the attack on the sham State Assembly of Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian Parliament, US Consulate Calcutta as well as the 2002 border standoff between Pakistan and India and lately the Mumbai carnage.
RAW prolific media network however received a setback when its sponsored Reminisce Television Network (RTN) could not succeed in UK and Europe. The free to air transmission of RTN’s Channel Asia 1 could not get enough advertisements due to over crowding of the market by many Asian Channels. The RTN also had an Urdu Channel ANJUMAN to target Pakistani viewers besides Gujarati, Lashkara (Punjabi), Bengali and other regional language channels. RAW is now concentrating on ZEE and SONY Entertainment Television (SET).

Army ready to help in Karachi - Kayani
ISLAMABAD – Chief of the Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani has said that the Army is ready to help the government for restoring peace to Karachi.
Talking to the media men here on Saturday, he said paramilitary forces and other law enforcement agencies were working efficiently and the Army would also play its maximum role in this regard. But it would be the government to take the decision of deployment of Army in Karachi, he rightfully added, leaving no room of later on excuses for the political terrorists so that they can blame the Army for not letting their "DemonCrazy" continue in peace.
