CIA’s brand of Taliban now come with tattoos

Print Friendly and PDF

Ladies and gentlemen, the photo posted above is courtesy of Reuters, a globally-renowned news agency which is part of the corporate media whose every report and breaking news is taken by most of the world’s pseudo-realist citizens as “The Divine Truth”.

When alternative (read “actual”) news forums which present the other side of the picture, such as this very forum itself, share such content, we are mostly ridiculed or brushed aside as non-credible sources. But we remain content knowing that sooner or later, the truth will be spilled out from official sources, some day or the other.

The image above highlights what we’ve been saying all along that the so-called “Tehreek e Taliban Pakistan” (TTP) is actually a poor, distorted duplicate of the Afghan Taliban.

As I pointed out in one of my earlier posts, these militants are local recruits, even though their handlers are sitting in the confines of their smoothly-tiled executive rooms at Langley. But in most other cases however, they can turn out to be foreigners. I ask you a simple question, readers, that if Jewish American Adam Pearlman alias ‘Adam Yahya Gadahn‘ was successful in presenting himself as an Arab militant, why is it not possible that others can follow his example?

You see, these clandestine wars involving intelligence agencies vying to take the lead is an absolutely complex, dirty game. Their ulterior motive is manipulation of geopolitics which involve both tactical and strategic plans. Latter includes the attack on Peshawar airport (where a few JF-17s of the PAF are also stationed as they share the runway with Civil Aviation Authority). Fortunately for the armed forces, they failed in giving a blow yet again just as they faced humiliation during the attack on Minhas Airbase, Kamra which was carried out by Afghan commando battalions under the command of Joseph Votel. Tactical attacks include those in which the young Malala was unknowingly used.

So while looking at the image above which was sent to me by one of my readers, I was not surprised. In the past, especially during the Mehran base attack in Karachi, media persons were not allowed to take pictures considering the intense amount of international pressure on Pakistan Army. Today, there seems to be a new footing. The aging Generals in Pakistan have had enough of it. Their mid-level subordinates are getting increasingly restless by the silence which their seniors are exhibiting since long; not because they want to hide the truth, but because they are waiting for the right time to speak up. Mind you, when they do, there will be much to share. Being publicly dormant (with a few rare exceptions on certain occasions) has allowed the military to prepare grounds for the coming months in which major, I repeat, major transformations are going to take place in the internal dynamics of Pakistan’s administration. The military will be noticed getting above its currently passive state, having given enough time for the present setup to continue with all the democracy it wants to practice.

Tattoos such as the one above are seen on many army soldiers around the world especially those of the US and UK. In the US Army, the Marine Corps is known for having soldiers who have similar tattoos:

Such tattoos, I understand, are not uncommon. America’s entire West Coast is renowned for its custom tattoo paint shops littered across California. But what I cannot believe is that some American soldier will tie a suicide vest and get ready to blow himself up. This is where, in realistic terms, our previous reporting is confirmed that these militants are foreigners who are very cheap mercenaries-for-hire. These include Tajiks, Gorkhas and Uzbeks. Infact, intelligence estimates in Pakistan argued that Uzbeks are the most preferred recruits for Western intelligence agencies (MI6, CIA, BND). One officer was even quoted as saying that recruits can literally be “bought” for as low as $300 only!

In Central Asia and Caucasus regions, a horde of undercover ‘Lawrences of Asia‘ roam about in search of trainees who are recruited for the infamous Al Qaeda; the group of pseudo-jihadists who spread terror in guise of Muslims and who are jointly controlled and tasked by intelligence agencies of 3 major countries: The US, Her Majesty’s Secret Service, France and ofcourse, the illegitimate Zionist state of Israel.

The US uses agents against MI6′s interests, sometimes vice versa. But when it comes to highly critical geopolitical undertakings, where Pakistan, Iran and Syria top the list, they all unite for a common cause. In our particular case, Pakistan’s nuclear arsenals are akin to a pot of honey around which these swarm of flies are always buzzing around.

There are two possibilities: Either that militant pictured above is a US Marine who was dressed like a TTP operative or, it could be the usual situation in which Afghans/Uzbeks are employed. The former assumption is highly improbable and to an extent, far-fetched. A more plausible case could be that the recruit was a convert from Europe as most Germans have infiltrated in the past too.

But what is really mind-boggling is the tattoo. In Islam, the final prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) has cursed the one who does tattooing on his body (they are haram i.e. strictly prohibited). Muslim men, especially those who claim to be doing jihad, are not supposed to have such paintings on them since they cause problems for offering regular prayers. The question here arises, why did self-proclaimed warriors of Islam adorn tattoos on their body and that too, of a skull? Are Hakeeullah’s boys inspired by the Ghost Rider?

Anyhow, I will not be going into speculation here. I avoid such things which are signature of our sensationalist, corporate media. I am though, openly saying that I have never seen such a thing on any captured militant. Not as far as declassified information is concerned.

This reminds me of an earlier picture from about 4 years back in which a militant killed in Swat region was found to be uncircumcised.
Click here to see one such picture (viewer discretion advised)
Again, Islamic Law makes it clear that all males are supposed to be circumcised in order to uphold the tradition on following what Abraham (peace be upon him) did.
Do you know what’s the funny aspect to all this? Just before this image got released, the TTP spokesperson claimed responsibility for the attacks. What a dumb nut I must say, now that the photo’s released, their beliefs and practices have laid themselves bare. They have, in haste, confirmed adherence to things which have no association with Islam whatsoever. These savages in the past used to blame all their heinous attacks on unseen “Blackwater agents”, later they started acknowledging high-profile attacks since it created a great impact. Today, they just hammered down on their own feet. They could have attempted to gain public sympathy by saying “this is the work of devil America” but instead they endorsed it and now find this picture spreading around in the media and online.

But you see, while this is indeed the work of the US military establishment, the people of Pakistan will at no cost forgive or forget these local/foreign proxies and blood-thirsty hounds who use terror to impose their radical beliefs, who slaughter innocent men, women and children. Pakistanis will and should not discount punishment and accountability of our own sell-outs who joined their ranks.

These militants have been described as the Khawarij “outcasts, dogs of hell” according to Islam. They are the same heretics who attacked the Sacred Mosque in Mecca in 1979 claiming to be upholders of Islamic Law. The same mindset was present inside the Red Mosque and today, across Pakistan, these stooges are carrying out orders issued from their masters in the US, UK and Israel.

Time will itself lay bare the actual details unless officials in echelons of power do so. The military establishment has disappointed much by not making appropriate, much-needed disclosures, at least to media outlets, if not unworthy journalists like me who are nothing more than past-time bloggers for some. If this article is being read by military/intelligence officials, please note that my thorough observation of public reaction has led me to conclude that the time is ripe to reveal some eye-opening secrets on an official level. Otherwise, it will be just be another ‘much ado about nothing‘.

Misguiding the Baloch People

Print Friendly and PDF

After taking cognisance of the general pardon announced by the Pakistan government for the Baloch separatist leaders, and favaourable hearings of the Supreme Court of Pakistan about the missing persons of the province of Balochistan, holding Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), Military Intelligence (MI) and Frontier Corps (FC) responsible for them including deteriorated law and order situation in the province, Sardar Akhtar Jan Mengal, former Chief Minister of Balochistan and head of the Balochistan National Party (BNP) returned to Pakistan. Meanwhile, son of late Nawab Akbar Bugti and chief of Jamhoori Watan Party (JWP) Nawabzada Talal Akbar Bugti also came back.
Both the Baloch leaders shared same views in misguiding the Baloch people by concealing the real situation of Baloshistan, created by Pakistan’s external enemies. During the hearing in the Supreme Court, Sardar Akhtar Mengal distorted the facts, while raising false allegations against the security agencies of the country, which have continuously been leveling by the anti-Pakistan elements. Giving a six-point solution to the Balochistan issue, Akhtar Mengal suggested to the Supreme Court that all proxy death squads, operating under the supervision ISI or MI in the province should be disbanded. He stated that all missing persons who are under the custody of intelligence agencies should be produced, and Baloch political parties should be allowed to resume their political activities without any interference from these agencies. Mengal explained that those responsible for torture, killing and dumping of bodies of Baloch political leaders and activists should be brought to justice. He added that military operation should be stopped in the province and measures should be taken for the rehabilitation of the displaced Balochis.
In reply to Akhtar’s statement, the Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry ordered that all the disappeared people should be produced before the court and proxy death squads formed by the ISI and MI should be disbanded. Afterwards, Akhtar Mengal revealed that he will not talk to the government about any reconciliation process unless the acceptance of his six points.

Talal Akbar Bugti showed the same tone by inciting the Balochis against the centre in some diplomatic style. While emphasising that the government should provide basic rights to Baloch people, he blamed the security agencies for killing of people, missing persons and military operation in Balochistan. He also declared that he would not take part in the elections until FC, ISI and MI leave the province.

Besides, political leaders like Nawaz Sharif of PML-N), Syed Munawar Hasan, Ameer of Jamaat-i-Islami and Chairman Imran Khan of PTI including those of other religious parties who met Akhtar Mengal and Talal Bugti encouraged them in maligning country’s key security institutes, and misguiding the Balochis about the missing persons in order to increase their vote bank at the cost of Pakistan’s integrity. Especially Imran Khan supported the six-points of Sardar Akhtar Mengal.

Talal also invited all political parties to make grand alliance for general elections and to lend a hand to pull the country out of the present crisis. However, during their interaction with media Akhtar Mengal started following the tone of late Sheikh Mujibur Rehman, while Talal indicated that the current situation of Balochistan is worse than that of West Pakistan in 1971. Nevertheless, the federal government and the armed forces in a joint statement to the Supreme Court, rejected assertions of Baloch leaders Sardar Akhtar Mengal and also of Tala Bugti saying that “armed forces are neither conducting any military operation in Balochistan nor are there any death squads of intelligences agencies in the province.” The statement clarified that no missing person was in the custody of the secret agencies and every political party in Balochistan was free to work.

In fact, baseless accusations of both the Baloch leaders are part of a deliberate campaign which has been accelerated by the foreign-based NGOs, human rights groups and media against Islamabad. With the secret support of American CIA, Indian RAW and Israeli Mosssad which are well-penetrated in these entities and Pakistani media are being used for vile propaganda against Pak Army, ISI and FC in relation to the human rights violations and disappeared persons. US, India and Israel seek to separate Balochistan from the federation of Pakistan to obtain their secret strategic designs. With the help of Baloch separatist leaders who have taken refuge in western countries, these hostile entities are perennially distorting the image of Islamabad and its security agencies in relation to Balochistan.

For these sinister aims, on July 31, 2011, a rally was organised by Baloch Human Rights Council in UK in front of the US Embassy in London, which raised false allegations such as inhuman torture and extrajudicial murder of the Baloch intellectuals by the Pakistan’s security agencies. Besides, a demonstration was held outside the United Nations in Genva on the occasion of the 19th Session of UN Human Rights Council to condemn the human rights violations in Balochistan. Apperently, the demonstration was organised by Mehran Baloch, Balochistan’s representative at the United Nations and Noordin Mengal, but in fact, it was arranged by anti-Pakistan entities and Indo-Israeli lobbies with the cladestine assistance of America. On all these occasions, Sardar Akhtar Mengal and Talal Bugti played a key role secretly.

Recently, the delegation of the UN Working Group also visited Pakistan to know about human rights violations and situation of missing persons, particularly of Balochistan. As the UN is under the influence of the US-led major countries, so it also raised similar allegations against Pakistan’s security agencies. Regrettably, Akhtar Mengal and Talal Bugti also met those media anchors who are working on the payroll of the foreign elements, and they provided them false information to misguide the general masses about Balochistan.

Reliable reports suggest that these media commentators and Baloch separatist elements including Akhtar Mengal and Talal Bugti have been invited by the US officials and participated in their secret meetings in Pakistan so as to accelerate propaganda against Balochistan as part of a conspiracy against the country.

Pakistan’s internal elements, especially political parties should know that the reality behind the worsening circumstances and the missing people of Balochistan is that secret agencies like CIA, RAW and Mossad which have well-established their collective network in Afghanistan are in collusion, and have perennially been supporting bomb blasts, suicide attacks, abductions, target killings, ethnic and sectarian violence in Balochistan through their affiliated militant groups such as Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), Jundollah (God’s soldiers), Balochistan National Party led by Sardar Akhtar Mengal and other Baloch feudal lords (Sardars) to dismember Pakistan. Their subversive activities have resulted in missing persons in Balochistan.

In this regard, Pakistan’s Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik repeatedly disclosed that he also showed proof about training camps being run in Afghanistan, and supply of arms and ammunition by the Afghan government to Baloch separatists inside Balochistan. Malik explained that BLA has owned 299 terror attacks in the province in which more than 170 personnel of the FC were martyred. It is mentionable that a Gallup survey of the UK official body, DFID, conducted on July 20, this year, disclosed that the vast majority of the Baloch people oppose the idea of an independent Balochistan. This survey has proved that some external elements have been conducting acts of sabotage in the province by backing the minority groups.

While, civil, federal and provincial governments are making strenuous efforts to restore peace and order in the province. For this purpose, a paramilitary committee has also been formed by the ruling party to hold negotiations with the disgruntled elements. And recently, Chief of Army Stall Gen. Kayani stated that the military would support any political settlement in Balochistan within the confines of the constitution.

No doubt, on the direction of their foreign masters, Baloch leaders Akhtar Mengal and Talal Bugti have returned Pakistan to further misguide the Baloch people by arousing their sympathies through their pre-conditions and by manipulating the law and order situation.

IG FC turns down UN intruding gang yet again!

Print Friendly and PDF

Islamabad: Inspector General (IG) of Frontier Corps (FC) Major General Obaidullah Khan Khattak will not be able to meet the UN intruding Group on Enforced or Involuntary Disappearances when the team visits Quetta on September 15, a highly-placed source told. According to sources, the UN intruding group had expressed its desperate desire to meet Khattak to discuss the issue of missing persons in Balochistan, despite Pakistan's Chief Justice's refusal to meeting to the intervening gang of the UN.

An official in the FC media department, Murtaza Baig, told that the IG FC would be unavailable to the UN team as he would be ‘busy’ with relief operations in the flood-affected areas of the province. Another official in the Balochistan government said Khattak was not obligated to meet the UN team since the working group was not mandated to conduct an investigation on the issue of enforced disappearance.

Former president of Balochistan High Court Bar Association Advocate Shakil Hadi also refused to arrange a meeting with the UN working group. Hadi, who is the legal counsel of Nawabzada Jamil Bugti, son of Nawab Akbar Bugti, told  that he considered the UN team’s visit to Pakistan as interference in the internal affairs of Pakistan, adding that the list of missing persons was highly misleading.

“I personally know that many persons who have gone underground were also being treated as missing persons,” Hadi said.

Post Script: It should be critically noted that the figure of missing persons all across the globe is far higher than that of Pakistan (which is undoubtedly an exaggerated figure). In areas like Kashmir, Palestine, Afghanistan and so many areas of India have a far greater number of people missing from their homes but interestingly the very sympathetic UN did NOT take any trouble to console the grieved families and search for their lost ones. The questions arises WHY is the UN so much concerned about the internal affairs of Pakistan? Or is it only paving a way for Libya/Syria type intervention with gradual and subsequent lame excuses? Later when the UN feels more and more excruciating pain for the grieved families, it would break into Pakistani soil with the consoling and sympathetic NATO forces for the "greater" interest of Pakistanis and humanity at large and thus the last and grand final phase of 4th GW would be deployed happily ever after!

Day of Reassurance of Unity: 14th August

Print Friendly and PDF

The 14th August which is celebrating every year as the Independence Day, has come at a time when Pakistan is facing multiple threats of serious nature, which are not only worrying all the citizens, and creating divisions among the federal institutions, but also putting the very integration of the state at stake. No doubt, it was due to the strong unity among the Muslims under the leadership of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah that Pakistan became a tangible reality. But that unity started declining after passing through various crises.

However, it is because of lack of unity among our politicians, leaders, security forces and media that foreign opportunists have been manipulating the chaotic situation of Pakistan in order to fulfill their secret agenda by destabilising the country. In the past few years, nefarious designs of American CIA, Indian RAW and Israeli Mossad can be gauged from various anti-Pakistan developments such as their support to subversive activities and sectarian violence all over the country and separatism in Balochistan coupled with cross-border terrorism from Afghanistan side.

Particularly, US double game with Pakistan, pressuring the latter to do more against the militants by ignoring the internal backlash, intermittent drone strikes, accusation of cross border terrorism, perennial propaganda against Pak Army, country’s intelligence agency, ISI etc. clearly show future aims of the US-led India and Israel which want to ‘denuclearise’ Pakistan. These elements are supporting violent acts in our country on daily basis. While, the US seems determined to shift Afghan war to Pakistan after the withdrawal of foreign troops from Afghanistan. In this respect, these foreign entities have already started a covert war which especially include Karachi, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan where their secret agencies are assisting the militants and their agents with money and weapons.

Notably, present drastic situation cannot be comprehended by the general masses and even the political leaders who abruptly change their opinion without logic. Therefore, they become unintentional victim of the external plotters succeed in creating a rift particularly between the political groups, divided on ethnic and linguistic lines. These foreign enemies also seek to create a division between the political leaders and the armed forces of our country.

It is regrettable that on the one hand, our multiple crises show that Pakistan is rapidly advancing towards a ‘failed state’ owing to the sinister designs of the external forces, while on the other, our media, particularly most of the TV channels conduct controversial debate between politicians and commentators, contesting internal politics. While speaking in the tone of anti-Pakistan elements, they have ignored the sacrifices of Pakistan’s security forces and ISI regarding the security of the country and against terrorism. Following the external media, and blame game, our own internal entities have been maligning these security agencies.

At this critical hour, while deteriorating situation demands selfless unity, both our media anchors and some politicians manipulate every terror-incident or negative development against Pakistan. Accusation and counteraccusations have become their routine practice. In this context, they opine as to what the people want, but conceal as to what people actually need? Especially, it appears that a majority of Pakistan’s media anchors is on the payroll of external enemies.

Internally, Pakistan’s economic crisis has intensified, bringing about other-related problems like load shedding, unemployment, soaring prices of products and dependence upon the US-led developed world. Today Pakistan stands at the crossroads of its destiny, facing internal and external threats to the national security of the country. Besides, our security forces and intelligence agencies are coping with suicide attacks, bomb blasts, sectarian violence and target-killings including sporadic battles with the militants in the tribal areas.

Nevertheless, the14th August demands true national unity. In the recent past, Chief of the Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani who remained firm on his stand on non-interference in politics, recently said, “Any effort to create divisions between important institutions of the country is not in national interest…the people of Pakistan whose support the army has always considered vital for its operations against terrorists.”

This significant day reminds that our political leaders must pledge that they will not exploit their regional and provincial differences at the cost of the national interests so as to grab political power. In this context, a blind dedication to one’s own race, tribe and creed should not be allowed to create hatred in one group against the other.

They must avoid manipulating present thorny issues in order to increase their vote-bank. If any controversy has arisen between the judiciary and executive bodies, it can better be settled in consonance with the constitution. For this aim, in order to castigate the conspiracy of the external enemies against the country, our political leaders must also stop exploiting any crisis against the security forces and ISI whose image are deliberately being tarnished by the external conspirators.

Besides, Pakistan’s media, especially TV channels must create national cohesion among various segments of society. In this purpose, the owners of these channels must detect and terminate the services of some anchors who are working on the payroll of foreign enemies. As electronic media attract more viewers, so Pakistan’s TV commentators should give a matching response to malicious propaganda of the US-led some western countries including India and Israel which are leaving no stone unturned in distorting the image of Pakistan, its army and ISI.

No doubt, Pakistan’s survival lies in strong cohesion which is also essential for our political leaders themselves as at present, even a layman can note that our country is in chaos and it seems as if there is a “war of all against all” in the sense of ‘Hobbesian state of nature.’

Nonetheless, the 14th August reminds true unity which demands sacrifices of individual and collective selfish interests from the all the citizens, political, religious leaders and media for the national integration of Pakistan. There must be real national unity among the public, politicians and the security forces so as to cope with the anti-Pakistan conspiracy.

Gwadar Security Forces Check Post Attacked by "Foreign" sponsored elements

Print Friendly and PDF

On 21 July 2012, Foreign Sponsored elements are hit a security check post located in Pishukan area of Gwadar. In this militant attack, six security personnel were killed and four others injured when unknown terrorists fired rockets at security. The local administration and Levies personnel reached the scene and shifted the injured to hospital. The security forces cordoned off the area after the attack and launched search operation to arrest the culprits.
Notably, sudden increase in blast waves, militancy in Karachi and resumption of drone attacks just after restoration of NATO supply, beheading of soldiers after abduction from FATA, interference in Baluchistan, killing of Pakistani soldiers on Chenab River Bank, raiding under training security elements in Lahore and now attacking security check post in Gwadar Port (Baluchistan) on 21 July 2012, are clear cut indications of involvement of hands in militancy in Pakistan. All these subversive activities are being controlled by CIA, RAW, MI-6 and Mossad. Afghan National Security Council is providing and facilitating CIA, RAW and other intelligence agencies for launching their agents in Pakistani area. U.S. and her allies are working for grater Baluchistan. They are interested in causing instability in Baluchistan through terrifying locals and settlers.
As per set foreign agenda local lords of Baluchistan immediately allege country's intelligence agency for any murder and abduction of innocent Baloch. Whereas, it has been found that abduction of people for ransom and killing them have become the routine of daily life in Baluchistan. Few days back, honourable Chief Justice visited Baluchistan for hearing of missing person case. He has also shown concern over abduction and killing of innocent persons.
It is suggested that Chief Justice should take some more visit of Baluchistan for punishing the terrorists. Involvement of foreign hands particularly of Americans, British's and Indian cannot be denied since prevailing adverse security situation and unrest of Baluchistan directly linked to international politics due to the development and operation of strategically important Gwadar Port. It would also be correct in saying that intensification of current terrorism throughout the country is by design, since our political system is getting strength day by day.
Moreover, tenure of ruling elite is almost over and the country is heading towards transitional phase of exchange of powers. Thus, anti-Pakistan elements are more interested in instability of political system while sabotaging the peaceful transaction of the system. In fact, the current blast wave was planned, staged and executed by CIA, RAW and MI-6. Some of the Western, US, Indian and local electronic and print media started throwing slush on own country on the name of violations of human rights in Baluchistan. I would like to suggest to the honourable, Chief Justice of Pakistan to take suo motu actions on the murder of soldiers rather than just pulling security and intelligence agencies on the name of missing persons. He should also take suo motu against Baloch lords who are playing in foreign hands, inviting CIA and RAW militancy to carry out in Baluchistan.
In most of the cases the act of killing is being done by RAW and CIA simply with the aim of fuelling militancy of Baluchistan. Anyhow, this adventure of maligning and alleging country's security forces and intelligence agency should be stopped since it is strengthening the hands of foreign intelligence agencies and damaging the country's solidarity. US and Indian joint venture is aiming at (1) supporting rebels and Baloch leaders for storming terrorism in Pakistan (2) Incorporating Iranian and Afghanis' Baloch areas in purposed Greater Baluchistan (3) Declaring Pakhtun region as Al-CIAda dominated areas and targeting Gas pipeline.
In short, there is a need of resolving the issue politically but at the same time foreign agents busy in fomenting terrorism, abducting and killing innocent people should also be dealt with iron hands. However, true leaders should be approached and given chances for ruling the province and establishment the peace. The prostitute Media pundit and so called anchors should not try to fuel the issue deliberately and the sold-out Media should stop encouraging the anti-Pakistan elements operating in Baluchistan.

India’s Subversive Role in Afghanistan

Print Friendly and PDF

During his trip to India and Kabul in June, this year, by reviving old blame game, US Defence Secretary of State, Leon Panetta repeatedly stated that drone attacks would continue on safe havens of terrorists in Pakistan, while accusing the Haqqani network for some of the deadliest attacks in Afghanistan.

On the other side, Leon Panetta encouraged India to take a more active role in Afghanistan as most foreign combat troops leave in 2014. India which has already invested billion of dollars in Afghanistan, signed a wide-ranging strategic agreement with that country on october 5, 2011 also includes to help train Afghan security forces.

While taking note of India’s subversive role in Afghanistan, US Republican Senator John McCain reminded the Obama administration that encouraging India to take a more active role in Afghanistan, while simultaneously criticising Pakistan could be a recipe for disaster.

In fact, since the US-led NATO forces occupied Afghanistan, stiff resistance of the Taliban militants which created unending lawlessness in the country has made it a most conducive place for India to play strategic game against Pakistan, China and Iran. For this purpose, New Delhi with the cooperation of the Karzai-led regime and with the tactical support of US and Israel has been obtaining its clandestine aims, while America and Israel are also doing the same.

In this respect, Indian RAW with the assistance of American CIA and Israeli Mossad has well-established its espionage network in Afghanistan. Besides, in a religious Madrassa of Wakhan, located in Afghanistan is functioning under the patronage of Indian officials. It is being used for brainwashing of very young boys who are Afghans, Uzbeks and Tajiks including so-called Indian Muslims. Posing themselves as Taliban, they have joined the ranks and files of the Pakistani Taliban. In this context, India’s several secret training camps are also present in Afghanistan from where highly trained militants, equipped with sophisticated weapons are being sent to Pakistan’s various places to conduct target killings, bomb blasts, suicide attacks, assaults on civil and military installations and forced abductions including ethnic and sectarian violence regularly.

In this connection, on June 28, the released Indian spy from Pakistani jail, Surjeet Singh openly admitted by saying, “I was a RAW agent. Regarding another Indian spy who is in Lahore jail, Surjeet Singh revealed, “Sarabjit Singh is a terrorist and terrorists are not released.” However, both the spies were responsible for the string of blasts in Faisalabad, Lahore, and Multan in 1990 in which several innocent people were killed.

Nevertheless, by manipulating American ambivalent approach and duplicity in relation to Pakistan, China, Iran and even Afghanistan, New Delhi has been extracting full benefits. In this context, US which signed a nuclear deal with India in 2008, intends to make India a great power of Asia to counterbalance China by separating Pakistan’s province of Balochistan due to its geo-strategic location with Gwadar seaport including mineral resources. For these purposes, RAW is assisting CIA and Mossad which have also been supporting subversive acts in Balochistan through Baloch separatist elements like Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) and another group, Jundollah (God’s soldiers). These secret agencies are also backing similar acts of sabotage in the Iranian Sistan-Baluchistan including Tibetan regions of China. In this context, Tehran had directly accused CIA and other similar agencies for funding of terrorist attacks, while diverting the attention of Iran towards Islamabad through secret propaganda.

It is noteworthy that in the recent years, several persons died in the terror-incidents and ethnic riots occurred in various regions of China’s Xinjiang-the largely populated Muslim province. For all the incidents, India blamed Pakistani militants for supporting the insurgency in order to deteriorate Sino-Pak ties. In fact, New Delhi which had given shelter to the ex-Tibetan spiritual leader, Dalai Lama and his militants has been playing a key role in backing upsurge in the Tibetan areas of China.

During the Swat and Malakand military operations, while hinting towards India, the former Maj-Gen Athar Abbas had revealed in on of the press briefings that 400 foreigners and Afghans, having connections with the enemy countries were captured along with huge caches of sophisticated weapons, made of India and America—Afghan fighters had been infiltrated into Pakistan with the help of some external agencies bordering Afghanistan. Recently, Interior Affairs Adviser Rehman Malik also expressed similar thoughts. Earlier, he has openly disclosed that RAW was behind terror-acts in Pakistan, especially Karachi.

Notably, RAW and Afghan Khad have increased attacks inside Afghanistan, particularly targeting American soldiers with the sole aim to revive old blame game of the US against Islamabad and Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI in relation to cross-border-terrorism.

Regarding Indian activities in Afghanistan the then NATO commander, Gen. McChrystal had pointed out: “Indian political and economic influence is increasing in Afghanistan…is likely to exacerbate regional tensions.” It is notable that after the withdrawal of NATO troops in 2014, US has decided to maintain its six military bases in Afghanistan. Thus, America not only seeks to protect Indian influence in Afghanistan, but also control the energy resources of Central Asia as part of secret agenda against Pakistan, China, Iran and Russia. While playing double game with each other, India wants to entrap America permanently in Afghanistan so as to achieve its secret goals by harming the US interests. India also seeks to furhter strengthen its grip there to get strategic depth against Pakistan.

It is of particular attention that Pakistan is the only nuclear country in the Islamic world. Therefore, India and Israel with the assistance of America are creating instability in the country. Besides, by engaging US in Afghanistan and in blame game against Pakistan in connection with safe havens of Haqqani group, both India and Israel intend to divert the attention of Washington from their own atrocities, being perpetrated on the innocent Palestinians and Kashmiris. In this regard, they have also succeeded in distracting the attention of President Obama from the solution Kashmir and Palestinian issues.

In pursuance of its sinister designs, New Delhi is silent over American losses such as cost of war on terror, amounting to 8 trillion dollars, increase in defence budget and acute financial crisis inside the US homeland. Drug and kidnapping are some other source of Indian income in Afghanistan. According to an estimate, world’s 90% heroin is cultivated in Afghanistan. So money earned through drug-smuggling and hostage-takings is utilised in buying weapons, being sent to the foreign agents and the insurgents in Pakistan.

But militants are well-organised from Afghanistan to Somalia and from Yemen to the Indian-held Kashmir. So, if it wants to weaken Pakistan through subversive acts, different war by the insurgents will also envelop India where New Delhi has failed in controlling the wars of liberation in Kashmir and other regions including Maoists’ movement.

In the recent years, a number of conferences were held in order to bring stability and peace in Afghanistan before the foreign troops complete withdrawal from that country in 2014. Another major purpose was to conclude a peace deal with the Afghan militants. After the recent Tokyo conference on Afghanistan, efforts to convince Taliban for talks with the Kabul government have been increased and Pakistan has been requested to play an important task in this regard. During the recent tripartite meeting in Kabul, British Prime Minister David Cameron and Afghan President Hamid Karzai met Pakistan’s Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf, and reiterated Islamabad’s support for durable peace and stability in Afghanistan. Pakistan agreed to redouble efforts in facilitating these talks with the Afghan militants.

Particularly, US should realise that unlike India, there is a co-relationship of stability in Afghanistan and Pakistan, which is essential for American global and regional interests. In case, Indian subversive role continued in Afghanistan, the war-torn country will be thrown in an era of uncertainty and civil war. In that scenario, all the efforts of the US-led NATO and other western countries will prove fruitless. And Pakistan will not be in a position to help in bringing peace and stability in Afghanistan.

At this crucial hour, Pakistan and US are further improving their relations, after the apology of US Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton for the killing of 24 Pakistani troops last September and in return securing the reopening of NATO supply lines into Afghanistan. Especially, America must remain alert as India could conduct any subversive act in Afghanistan to thwart the Pak-US new rapprochement.

Pakistan Army launches FM radio in violence-hit areas

Print Friendly and PDF

ISLAMABAD – The military has launched a new project ‘FM 96 International Radio Network’ in the violence-hit Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Fata and Balochistan, a move described as ‘community service’ but being criticised by many, reported BBC on Tuesday.
According to the broadcast, the basic objection raised is that the army is trying to establish an institution parallel to the Radio Pakistan and prominent analyst Ayesha Siddiqa says it is a dangerous commercial venture of Pakistan Army.
The BBC says after the army’s investment in banking, cement, sugar mills, transport, fertilizer, land, construction and other sectors through its related organisations, the company, named as FM 96 International Radio Network, has been made subsidiary of Shalimar Recording and Broadcasting Company being run by the Pakistan Television.
The transmission of the radio network managed by the army can be heard in Malakand Division, Fata except Orakzai Agency and various parts of Balochistan - Quetta, Panjgur, Khuzdar and others – in Urdu, Pashtu, Balochi and Barahvi languages.
Major chunk of the programmes are related to music, culture and national songs, while news and current affair has so far received a limited slot. Interestingly, Indian songs are not relayed by the Radio Pakistan, but they get ample space in the army-run FM network.
The head of the project is an in-service colonel of the military’s Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). According to Colonel Aqeel Malik, the initiative is not a commercial venture, but a community service project. He added that no advertisements could be obtained from the insurgency-hit areas.
Aqeel told BBC that the army had shut down the illegal FM radio stations operated in Malakand Division by militant chief Fazlullah, because they had been used to attract locals towards terrorism coated in the name of jihad. During the military operation in Swat, it had been observed that there was need to start FM radio service to provide entertainment and information to the people, badly affected by violence.
The army colonel further said the radio network had been set up after an approval given by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, adding that the reports about any foreign funding were totally wrong.
When asked why the army did launched the project in the presence of the state-run Radio Pakistan which has necessary experience and technical expertise, his reply was that media was mushrooming in Pakistan and it was necessary establish more organisations to convey the state’s message to people.
“21st century is an information century, during which more organisations will be set up to promote the state interests.” Although, Aqeel said that the network would be expanded, but he did not give any details. On the other hand, the BBC has a document which reveals that the plan envisages establishing 44 radio stations under the army-sponsored network.
Some analysts are saying that the army is attempting an institution parallel to Radio Pakistan, which will face drastic effects because of the venture, a view rejected by Colonel Aqeel.

Wiser approach needed for Balochistan

Print Friendly and PDF

In 1948, while addressing Quetta Municipality, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah said that, “you know, I take special interest in Balochistan because, this province is my special responsibility, therefore I want that it should play its role in Pakistan affairs like other provinces.”

Unfortunately, this great leader died in the same year and his vision could not be implemented. Area wise, it is half of Pakistan, but forming 5% of the total population. The leadership, following the Quaid, did not pay worthwhile attention towards the affairs of the province, thus there remained deterioration of the situation with each passing day. There have been grievances of the locals, turned into insurgencies and rebellions in the province, but use of force was considered the only option to quell all, rather addressing the causes.

The successive governments and their functionaries have been dealing with the Baloch issue without consulting the real stakeholders, the people and national acumen. Generally, governments have their own way of doing the things with vested political interests and priorities as per their conveniences’. On the issue of Balochistan, traditionally, there has been single handed and bureaucratic approach adopted by successive governments to resolve the issue without knowing its dynamics. Indeed, there have been no worthwhile efforts at national or provincial level to resolve this complicated issue.

It is very encouraging that the literate class of Pakistan has finally realized the significance of national issues and started organizing debate and conference to resolve them. In this connection, the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) organized a national conference on Balochistan on May 26, 2012. SCBA had invited the leadership from all political and religious parties in this national conference. In the conference, entitled, “Balochistan Issue and its Resolution,” the participants of the conference called for “taking on board all segments in the province over all policies and development projects, besides, redressing their genuine demands.”

Indeed, there is a need for the national mobilization to understand and address the national issues of Pakistan in the best national interests of the state of Pakistan. Political parties have their own agendas and evaluate the issues from their own particular perspective. Generally, there is a point scoring and relegation of the other party’s viewpoint. There remains a clear difference between what is said in the meetings and conferences and how the implementation takes place. Therefore, there is requirement for the dedication, clarity of the objectives and over and above the sincerity to resolve the issues, leaving behind the personnel or political party agendas.

At the conclusion, the conference adopted a fifteen-point resolution, demanding an end to the deprivations of the Baloch people and asking for an end to the military operations from the province. Whereas, various leaders from political and religious parties gave their own viewpoints for the resolution of Balochistan, Dr Abdul Malik, President of the National Party stressed the need for granting rights to the Baloch people. He said that, “Balochistan is an integral part of Pakistan and we have to find out solution by dialogue with all the stakeholders. This indeed was the most important aspect of the Balochistan issue, highlighted by a nationalist Baloch.

Between the lines, Dr Abdul Malik, has stressed the need for understanding the Baloch issue realistically, rather making political statements. His wordings were loud and absolutely clear. It is a fact that, in the entire history of Pakistan, Baloch people have never been given their basic rights. They are just the Baloch and have been used as tools both by national and provincial leaders. They have been deprived of basic necessities of life. They are Baloch and they are Pakistani, so must be given what the constitution of Pakistan has authorized to grant them.

Indeed, as practised during the British era, in the tribal society of Balochistan, the sardars acted as agents of the British crown and kept the people under suppression and oppression. They did not allow the basic right to the locals. The locals became habitual of this pattern of living. They even continued these repressive policies after the decolonization and independence. Whenever, an attempt was made to curtail the powers of sardars, they would rebel and tried to violate against the federation of Pakistan by mobilizing the suppressed Baloch community.

The poor people of Balochistan would not know, as to why they have been asked to take arms for fighting, except that, it is the order of Sardars. It is generation after generation that such a practice is continuing in the Baloch dominated areas of Balochistan province. Today in the rural Balochistan, there are no basic civic facilities for the common Baloch. School and colleges are scant, resultantly; the youth of the province is deprived of the basic education, a necessity for an award society. There is a lack of hospitals and medical centers in the province; therefore, treatment of the people once they fell ill has been a real issue.

These deprivations are not accidental, but deliberate and planned. After all, all areas of the province have elected representatives, and in case of Baloch MPs, over 90% are ministers too. Then there are senators, MNAs, and Federal Ministers from the Balochistan, all have some responsibilities towards their people and areas. Generally, there has been no dearth of the funds, issued for the province, particularly in last two decades. Then, there was no reason that local development in Balochistan could have been compromised. It was bunch of same sky rocketing politicians, who were making hue and cry in the conference, without questioning, as who is responsible for this backwardness of the people of Balochistan.

Some of the participants of the conference targeted the law enforcement agencies and intelligence agencies. The most critical were; PML (N) leader, Main Nawaz Sharif and Asma Jehangir, the former President of SCBA. Both made provocative statements and Main Nawaz went ahead by saying that, Baloch has the right to rebel. He said, “The Baloch have a right to rebel why shouldn’t they, after all that they have been put through?” The statement indeed, depicts the originator as an obtuse personality, who can do anything for his cheap popularity.

Promoting and encouraging violence and rebellion is a felony in itself. Should a leader with national stature do it, is a big question mark? Accusing intelligence agencies and LEAs in Pakistan is the easiest thing. Even a common man on the streets would do it quite conveniently. It has become a fashion for people like Hamid Mir, Asma Jehangir and Mian Sahib to criticise the institutions. No one questions these people’s credibility of these accusations and their linkages elsewhere. After all BAL Thackeray, RAW and CIA has no love with Pakistan, who have linkages with people in Pakistan to promote their cause.

As a matter of fact, it has become rhetoric in Pakistan, that ‘agencies are doing this and that’. Nevertheless, no fact-finding body has been designated by the Governments; federal and provincial to know the real hands behind all these acts of killings and disappearances. After all someone should think, who is the real beneficiary of the Baloch killings and disappearances? What advantage intelligence agencies and FC or any other LEA would get from these acts. On the one hand, some leaders, so-called human rights activists and media persons, otherwise quite generously following the global format (script), should not know the global agenda.

Being at the crossroads of the history, we must revisit the Quaid’s vision about the Province and reassess the issue through a nationalistic approach, leaving behind the personnel agendas. We must leave behind the politics of accusations and adopt a new approach’ the people centric approach to resolve the issue. The foremost requirement would be to know, who is doing this all to destabilize Pakistan. Then, there is an immediate need to provide basic facilities to the deprived people of the Balochistan. To start with, basic health and education facilities should get preference.

Thinking logically on Balochistan

Print Friendly and PDF

After six decades of independence, the debate should not focus on whether Balochistan or part(s) of this geographically largest province of Pakistan willingly joined the state of Pakistan at the time of its independence or there was a forced accession. Rather, the debate should focus on the ways and means of addressing the grievances of Baloch people by those, occupying the driving seats in the Federal capital, Islamabad as well as in the province of Balochistan. Historians, writers, scholars and above all, the media should play their part in bringing out the nation from these worthless debates and discussions. Since the none-issue was irrationally puffed-up by some feudal (Baloch sardars), over the years, mainly because of their personnel gains, therefore, the global players, exploited the situation to their best interests and against the state of Pakistan.

Owing to its strategic location, the conspiracies against Balochistan are dates back to pre-partition. Indeed, this landmass of Pakistan joins various regions of Asia, hence got the attention of international actors at all time. Apart from the covert conspiracies against Pakistan over Balochistan by some global spying networks, the US lawmaker Dana Rohrabacher has very recently assigned for himself the role of frontline runner to fight the Baloch case in the US. It is very surprising that, the research of Rohrabacher could found after sixty-five years of the independence of Pakistan, that, “the Baloch Khanate of Kalat was founded which functioned as an independent, sovereign country.” What he could not research that some US states also declared their independence, until reunited at the end of US civil war. We must say that he is a very scrupulous researcher, or else, a buffoon, latecomer, trying to catch the flight that has already took off.

To put the record straight, particularly for those readers who may have misconception that, how Balochistan became part of Pakistan, I do not find any logic in these unfounded demands and debates at this point of time. Nevertheless, the reality is that, the Khan of Kalat Mir Ahmed Yar Khan, who initially decided to keep the Khanate as independent state unconditionally acceded with Pakistan, on the request of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. However, the Instrument of Accession was signed on 27th March 1948. Earlier, other parts of the Balochistan decided to become part of Pakistan through a referendum held on June 3, 1947, under the British Government, as done elsewhere in the united India. The fifty-four members of the Shahi Jirga, and Quetta Municipality voted to join Pakistan.

While analyzing the Baloch history, one would learn that, under the sardari system, the people of Balochistan had no voice of their own, thus practically remained subservient class. Deliberately, these Baloch masses were kept economically backward and illiterate by these sardars. In the past, whenever, these sardars had differences with Federal Government, would use the remote and educationally backward masses against the state of Pakistan. On their part, the successive federal governments too did not play a part to change the status quo in the province. Owing to the typical nature of the tribal system, these governments allowed the sardars to continue exploiting the Baloch masses and federal governments too.

The current situation in the province indeed, is a sum total of the follies of the past rulers of the country. It is because of their deliberate overlooking of the socio-economic condition of masses that the situation has worsened to this level. Federation maintained a policy of pleasing the sardars and ignoring the masses, constituting the bulk of the province indeed. In the process, the sardars exploited both as per their convenience. Even today, those masses being used by sardars to challenge the writ of the government are unaware of the motives behind. They act as per the ordain of sardars. Mostly the insurgents are the paid murderers of the sardars and now international players too. Even after having known all the facts, those at the helm of affairs are keeping mum over the extraordinarily changing situation.

Indeed, neither someone in the Province or at the Federal level is ready to address the real cause, as if someone else will do it for them. There has developed an environment, where everyone shifts the blame to another. As disclosed by a minister of Balochistan, some of the ministers and MPs are involved in the abduction cases of the Baloch masses. The disclosure is an eye opener for everyone that, those whom masses elected as their representatives are involved in the heinous crimes of Baloch abduction and human smuggling.

No Government in the Federation or in the province has ever tried to seriously understand and resolve the socio-economic problems of the province. There have been announcements of packages for the socio-economic uplift of the province, but, practically those were only for the political consumptions. Aaghaaz-a-Haqooq Balochistan was a huge political stunt of the incumbent Government, whose implementation has not been felt in any part of the province as yet. This project remained on papers only and sufferance of the people is a matter of routine without a change. In the previous governments too, there have been such political gimmicks without practical manifestation. I am afraid that, if still sardars are paid the funds as an appeasing policy, that means we have not learnt anything from our past history.

Then there are the cases of the missing persons. It is very easy to blame Frontier Corps Balochistan, Pak Army, ISI and other law enforcement agencies as responsible for those, but very difficult to prove that. This indeed is a global format, followed by domestic media, some analysts and writers. Then, there have been discovery of mutilated and disfigured bodies of some Baloch missing persons. Even for those, sub-nationalists, media and some analysts are bashing these LEAs. Astonishingly, no one has ever bothered to think logically that, after all, who is the beneficiary of this entire game? What advantages these acts would bring for the security forces, except bringing bad name. Should an organization or agency would like to earn bad name for it. Surely, not. Should national and provincial LEAs create hatred for themselves? This is a big question mark.

Whereas those involved in various crimes must be dealt as per the law of the land, the issue of missing persons needs serious inquiry and investigations by an impartial body, rather involving into a blame game. After all, FC, Army and ISI are for the security of Pakistan and its people. How can they exceed the limits and involve themselves in extra-judicial killing of Baloch people. Let us think logically, find out the conspiracies behind, the beneficiaries of this entire campaign and above all, the motives behind. Failure to these, we will keep wandering in the darkness in search of invisible light across the tunnel.
