IG FC turns down UN intruding gang yet again!

Islamabad: Inspector General (IG) of Frontier Corps (FC) Major General Obaidullah Khan Khattak will not be able to meet the UN intruding Group on Enforced or Involuntary Disappearances when the team visits Quetta on September 15, a highly-placed source told. According to sources, the UN intruding group had expressed its desperate desire to meet Khattak to discuss the issue of missing persons in Balochistan, despite Pakistan's Chief Justice's refusal to meeting to the intervening gang of the UN.

An official in the FC media department, Murtaza Baig, told that the IG FC would be unavailable to the UN team as he would be ‘busy’ with relief operations in the flood-affected areas of the province. Another official in the Balochistan government said Khattak was not obligated to meet the UN team since the working group was not mandated to conduct an investigation on the issue of enforced disappearance.

Former president of Balochistan High Court Bar Association Advocate Shakil Hadi also refused to arrange a meeting with the UN working group. Hadi, who is the legal counsel of Nawabzada Jamil Bugti, son of Nawab Akbar Bugti, told  that he considered the UN team’s visit to Pakistan as interference in the internal affairs of Pakistan, adding that the list of missing persons was highly misleading.

“I personally know that many persons who have gone underground were also being treated as missing persons,” Hadi said.

Post Script: It should be critically noted that the figure of missing persons all across the globe is far higher than that of Pakistan (which is undoubtedly an exaggerated figure). In areas like Kashmir, Palestine, Afghanistan and so many areas of India have a far greater number of people missing from their homes but interestingly the very sympathetic UN did NOT take any trouble to console the grieved families and search for their lost ones. The questions arises WHY is the UN so much concerned about the internal affairs of Pakistan? Or is it only paving a way for Libya/Syria type intervention with gradual and subsequent lame excuses? Later when the UN feels more and more excruciating pain for the grieved families, it would break into Pakistani soil with the consoling and sympathetic NATO forces for the "greater" interest of Pakistanis and humanity at large and thus the last and grand final phase of 4th GW would be deployed happily ever after!

Syrian Troops Storm Rebels Command Center in Aleppo, kill 150

Syrian troops have stormed armed groups’ command center in the northern city of Aleppo, killing at least 150 terrorists fighting against the government.

According to reports coming from Syria, the army attacked a rebel-held school in Aleppo’s Salahuddin district, which was being used as a command center, on Wednesday and inflicted heavy losses on anti-Damascus armed groups.

Press TV's correspondent in Syria says calm has returned to Aleppo and Syrian forces have cleared most areas of the city of armed gangs although clashes are still continuing on the outskirts.

Sausan Ghosheh, the spokeswoman for the UN observer mission in Syria, has said that anti-government rebels operating in Aleppo are in possession of heavy weapons, including tanks. Some reports also suggest that the rebels have obtained nearly two dozen shoulder-launched Sam missiles.

The terrorist Free Syrian Army has vowed to step up its attack in Aleppo by targeting the city's security centers.

Meanwhile, a video has been circulated online showing the execution by rebel gunmen in Aleppo of four supporters of President Assad's government.

Armed groups fighting against the Syrian government have been operating in Aleppo since July 20 after they were defeated in the capital, Damascus, and were forced to flee.

The Syrian government says the rebels are committing “horrific crimes” against civilians in Aleppo and Damascus.

In two letters addressed to the head of the United Nations Security Council and the UN chief, Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Muallem said on Tuesday that the rebels, who are backed and funded by Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Turkey, are using civilians in Aleppo as human shields and killing anyone who does not support their crimes.

Syria has been experiencing unrest since March 2011. Damascus says outlaws, saboteurs, and armed terrorists are the driving factor behind the unrest and deadly violence while the opposition accuses the security forces of being behind the killings.

Western states have been calling on Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to step down. However, Russia and China are strongly opposed to the Western drive to oust Assad.

The Syrian government says that the chaos is being orchestrated from outside the country, and there are reports that a very large number of the armed militants are foreign nationals, mostly from Egypt, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, and Afghanistan.

Pakistan Blasts Malicious UN Propaganda Report

Pakistan took exception to a UN report that termed its law enforcement operation against terrorists in the Khyber Agency ‘armed conflict’, while pointing out that it fails to take due notice of the situations of foreign occupation.Speaking in a Security Council open debate on the protection of civilians in armed conflict, Ambassador Raza Bashir Tarar, Pakistan's Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN, said by no stretch of imagination could Pakistan’s law enforcement operation against terrorists be termed armed conflict.

"We are disappointed that the authors of this report have clearly violated the mandate by mentioning Pakistan in the report," he said. "This anomaly must be resolved."The report, which was issued in the name of Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, referred to the displacement of civilians from armed conflicts in Africa, the Middle East and Central Asia. In this context, the report also said some 200,000 people have been displaced in Pakistan since January by security operations in the Khyber Agency.

It also made references to denial of access in conflict areas to humanitarian workers in different parts of the world, including Pakistan. “The Secretary General’s report has unwarranted references to Pakistan, which we plainly reject," Ambassador Tarar told the 15-member Council. “Pakistan has suffered immensely from the menace of terrorism, with thousands of lives lost among the security and law enforcement bodies and civilians," he said. "Pakistan’s law enforcement operation against terrorists cannot be termed 'armed conflict’. “The Pakistani envoy said questions had been raised about the Security Council’s role and mandate and its ability to objectively deliver on such themes as “the protection of civilians in armed conflict”. The compelling need to protect civilians in armed conflict had led to a broad consensus that such protection be pursued objectively and without politicisation.

Regrettably, he said there had been a trend of out-of-context and selective reporting on those issues. The last two reports of the Secretary-General on protection of civilians, including the one under consideration, stretched to situations that could not be described as armed conflict and were thus outside the mandate of the report. “The challenge of protecting civilians in armed conflict is exacerbated by inequity in international response," Ambassador Tarar pointed out. The Security Council, he said, had failed to respond to the crisis and the unacceptable situation in Gaza where over a million people remain in a virtual incarceration and suffer from collective punishment. "Such unequal attention to various situations is also evident in the priorities and activities of some international humanitarian organisations and actors as is clear from today’s debate.

“Noting that Pakistan was a leading troop contributor to peacekeeping missions, the Pakistani envoy emphasised the need to respect host-country primacy in ensuring civilian protection and stressed the need for careful evaluation of all legal aspects of civilian protection in peacekeeping operations, given misplaced expectations under a recent mandate revision that asked peacekeepers to pre-empt a threat to a civilian population. It was important to resist the urge to use UN Secretariat reports to advance notions that had failed to gain any traction in intergovernmental processes.

He also pointed out that the annex of the Secretary-General report on ‘constraints on humanitarian access’ dealt with the issue of access in a partial manner, overlooked the possibility that there could be legitimate reasons for restricting access, and disregarded the fact that, regrettably, not all humanitarian actors performed in accordance with the humanitarian principles of humanity, neutrality, impartiality and independence. In that context, he recalled General Assembly resolution 46/182, which required that humanitarian assistance be provided with full respect for the sovereignty, territorial integrity and national unity of States.

The Pakistan Economy Watch (PEW) on Sunday said that India has stepped up its secret war against Pakistan to turn it into a desert. Pakistan, once a water happy country is now facing threat of water starvation but the response of our stooge regime remains far from satisfactory, it said. President PEW, Dr Murtaza Mughal said that India continues to steal our water while all efforts by Pakistan to find an agreeable solution have proved counterproductive. The Indus Waters Treaty has failed to settle water disputes between Pakistan and India therefore, it needs to be revisited and made to order, he said. Otherwise, he warned, nothing will forestall a war between two countries.

He said that the fraudulent United Nations was also supporting Indian conspiracies by pumping huge funds in such controversial projects. Dr Murtaza Mughal said that industries are being closed due to electricity and gas load shedding while insignificant issues keep all the political parties very pre occupied.

Ahmadinejad warns P5+1: Stop following up Zionists and bullying Pro-IsraHell powers

A day after multifaceted talks between Iran and the P5+1(USZ, UK, Russia, France, China & Germany), Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad warns the six major world powers to stop following up the path of IsraHell. Addressing thousands of enthusiastic people in the northern city of Rasht on Sunday, the Iranian president said certain arrogant Western powers, including the USZ, are not interested in resolving issues with Iran. He added that Iran repeats to the officials of the P5+1 to get rid of pressure by certain "narrow minded" Zionist individuals “if you wants talks to bear fruit. In that case, grounds will be prepared for further interaction”, Ahmadinejad stressed.

The Iranian chief executive emphasized that talks should be based on justice and respect, saying, “Negotiations should lead to the recognition of legal rights of the Iranian people and other nations.” He warned that animosity with Iran and the Iranian nation would be to the detriment of Western interests and noted that the Islamic Republic welcomes “cooperation and interaction.” The Iranian president further cautioned the P5+1 against the continuation of their previous path and said, "Now that Iranians have become a nuclear nation, hundreds of (countries) like you will not be able to force them to retreat one iota from their positions." Ahmadinejad noted that the Iranian nation would follow the path of justice, rationale and respect, but will stand up against bullying powers. The Iranian president said the path of interaction with Iran is still open for the P5+1, adding Iran would not allow anyone to violate its rights.

He pointed to several rounds of negotiations between Iran and the P5+1. "We have never expected that issues will be resolved through two or three rounds of talks.” "However, if the other side is determined and committed to justice, law and respect, one can hope that appropriate results could be achieved in future sessions", President Ahmadinejad went on to say. Iran and the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council plus Germany wrapped up their latest round of comprehensive talks in the Turkish city of Istanbul on Saturday. Following the multifaceted talks, Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council Saeed Jalili told reporters that Tehran is ready for further talks with major world powers provided that its rights are not violated. He also refuted claims by EU foreign policy chief, Catherine Ashton, that Tehran seeks to set "preconditions on talks relating to enrichment and sanction." "We are still prepared for further negotiations with the P5+1 on common issues. [We are] prepared for comprehensive talks like we said in Geneva," Jalili said.

UN vehicles burnt by angry supporters of Gbagbo in Ivory Coast

Thousands of supporters of Ivory Coast's President Laurent Gbagbo have torched two UN vehicles and damaged three others in the city of Abidjan. The UN mission in Ivory Coast (UNOCI) said in a statement on Thursday that forces loyal to Gbagbo also set an ambulance on fire in one of those incidents. "Two UNOCI vehicles were burnt and three others were damaged, including an ambulance", the statement read. UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon has condemned the attacks by Gbagbo's supporters.

Gbagbo's supporters accuse the UN peacekeeping mission in the country of backing president-elect Alassane Ouattara and supporting western interests in the country behind the noble looking mask of peace keeping. They also insist that the world body is inciting violence in the West African nation and foreign powers were involved in massive ragging during the controversial presidential elections of November 28th last year.

The Ivory Coast has been operating with two presidents and two governments since its disputed presidential election, with Gbagbo still mainly power. After polls closed, the country's electoral commission declared Ouattara as the winner. But, Gbagbo refused to give up power, citing irregularities in the vote. Some 200 people, including six police officers, have died in post-election violence so far.

India worst in gender equality in South Asia - UN report

Though the international media has been bombarding Pakistan with their nonsensical propaganda campaign for years, when it comes to gender inequities, India is ranked worse than Pakistan. In fact, the country fares lower than all other countries in South Asia. These are the findings of the 2010 Human Development Report released by the United Nations Development Program on Thursday as per its Gender Inequality Index.

While Pakistan may be in the Zionist News Network (both local as well as international) for its treatment of women and might have become a hot bed for international women’s activism, it certainly seems to know how to take care of its mothers better. On maternal mortality, India, with its abysmal record, trails Pakistan.



Reproductive health is the largest contributor to the inequality index. The other indicators, based on which it is calculated, include women’s participation in the labour force, their level of empowerment based on educational attainment and parliamentary representation.

For maternal mortality, the figure for Pakistan is 320 deaths per 100,000 live births. In India, the corresponding figure stands at 450 per 100,000 live births. The country also falters on adolescent fertility rate, another indicator of reproductive health. As per this data, in India the adolescent fertility rate is 68 births per 1,000 live births as compared to 45 births per 1,000 live births in Pakistan. The figures illustrate that Pakistan have fewer younger mothers. However, India has been really found wanting on the health front.

Globally, India ranks 122 among 138 countries for which the gender inequality measure has been calculated. What is disconcerting is that the indicators are not moving despite the Indian government being well aware of the problems and even after adopting corrective measures as in the case of maternal mortality and improving sex ratios.

On the education front, at secondary and higher level, too, India needs to move fast to remove the disparity. While 50% men are covered at this level, for women, this figure stands at a mere 27%. The measured indicators are not the only concern. Involvement and efforts of women in a number of areas go unaccounted due to lack of data. The inclusion of such factors can make the picture even bleaker. Time use, access to assets and domestic violence are just some of the aspects that are missing. Despite all the "Shining India" media campaign, physically these facts can't be practically negated. The Zionist media network inside as well a outside Pakistan always dodges the truth and that is, Pakistani mothers are much more safe and cared for as compared to the rest of South Asian mothers.
