Pakistan and India: Enemies forever!

Print Friendly and PDF

Enemies of Islam & Pakistan (Left)
India and Pakistan don’t have to be enemies forever. The real question is: Will they ever become friends? Before I dive into this question, let me make a quick mention of Hillary Clinton’s visit to the region. While speaking in Kabul, last Thursday, she warned Pakistani leaders to crack down on the Afghan insurgents based in Pakistan or pay "a very big price.” While Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani said that America “will have to think ten times” before launching a unilateral action in North Waziristan, because “Pakistan is not Iraq or Afghanistan.” And then in Islamabad Madam Clinton said that the United States expected to see concrete operations in a matter of “days and weeks.” In a separate interview, she said: “Pakistan has to be part of the solution, or they will continue to be part of the problem.” Strongest words used by both sides during this ongoing disagreement.

Differences, interests, and aspirations of countries like Iran, China, India, Saudi Arabia, and Russia, make this the most complicated regional dynamics known to modern history, and Pakistan is right in the middle of it. Pakistan’s geographical position, and its great asset has become its greatest liability. There are countries fighting and funding proxy wars on our streets, while others are trying to get access to our routes to warm waters. A violent tussle to take control of its assets by various countries has divided the people of Pakistan to the point of a civil war. Drained its resources, almost triggering financial collapse. Weakened a nation with great potential to the extent that it is being openly called a “failed State” ready to split into political or tribal fiefdoms.

But what does all this have to do with India and Pakistan becoming friends? Quite a lot. The Indian leaders have on many occasions predicted and wished for Pakistan’s collapse. We keep hearing across the border voices demanding the re-inclusion of Pakistan into India. It is no secret that India has not only engineered trouble in Pakistan, but also instigated USA to hurt us whenever possible. Right after the Osama incident, the Indian leaders also aired their desire to take unilateral actions into Pakistan. India’s intentions are not a secret. The rhetoric, which originates from various Indian politicians and leaders, are indicative of a hidden common sentiment of most Indians; Pakistan as an independent State is not acceptable to them, and they want it to be re-assimilated into India.

Maps change, boundaries are redrawn. India needs to come to terms with the fact that Pakistan is now a sovereign State, and will stay that way. We too had to bite the bullet with East Pakistan becoming Bangladesh. Since partition, India, in alliance with England, gave Pakistan an unfair deal in the division of money, assets, industry, land, etc. The gap has only deepened with every blow, hidden and apparent, that has come our way from India. In 1947, England favoured Hindus against Muslims, and now United States is openly helping India gain regional supremacy at the cost of Pakistan’s annihilation. In return, America will get a bully in the region, and India’s Chanakyan spirit will get schadenfreude.

Conspiracy theorists believe that India is interested in an unstable Pakistan. However, I believe that is far from true. An unstable and untamed Pakistan doesn’t suit anyone’s interest, especially not India’s! What India really wants is a subservient Pakistan, which can only be achieved through its division or complete economic collapse. India knows very well that it is almost impossible to conquer Pakistan as long as it stands united, under one purpose, and under one flag. But a divided and shattered Pakistan would pose no opposition to occupation on ground, through mind, and in pocket.
Just the other day, Pakistan was forced to give India “the most favoured nation” status, which would work as a first step to more open trade between the two countries. A step that I believe would be disastrous for Pakistan, even though the policy’s proponents keep trying to sell its benefits. Even India had its imports shut tight till very recently, until their own industry had been strengthened to the point where it faced no threat. An open trade policy with an industrial giant like India would decimate Pakistan’s economy overnight. It will take away the already dwindling job opportunities from millions of people. This is exactly what India wants.

Simultaneously, the American backed governments of Pakistan have successfully destroyed the country’s industrial base. Be it through law and order crisis, or pathetic policies, industry has been categorically pushed out of Pakistan to countries like Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. What’s left has been crippled by energy, gas or other infrastructure shortages. Even most of our top politicians have huge industrial investments out of Pakistan. The very same politicians have also been dividing the nation on basis of language, sectarianism, provinces, and anything else they can come up with.

At the same time, campaigns spending huge amounts of money from unknown sources have been claiming to bring India and Pakistan closer through art and music. If only it was that simple. I get into these arguments every time and I’m told that our real roots lie in India; that genetically and historically, we are closest to them, thus, an alliance of homogeneity is but natural. Again, I believe that this is impossible because of differences and interests that go much deeper than a song or a dance.

If America had any real interest in settling this region, it would force a settlement of the Kashmir dispute through a plebiscite. If America was sincere with Pakistan, it would stop manipulating our downfall through leaders who are really just agents of disaster planted through the NRO or other deals brokered in (or by) Washington. America claims they give us billions of dollars in aid; if it really wanted to help Pakistan, it would invest directly in infrastructure, hospitals, power generation, and things that matter, instead of greasing palms of corrupt leaders, who are loyal not to the people of Pakistan, but to their personal investments and children in the West.

Failing to do so poses a real problem not just for Pakistan, but also for those meddling in its affairs. Pakistan may be small, militarily ill equipped, led by weaklings intimidated by the US, but it has a unique ability to form some very key alliances, which are capable of becoming a formidable power, if the need ever arises. India and Pakistan may have the same history, but definitely not the same interests, nor direction. Given India’s lack of acceptance of Pakistan as a reality, the best one can hope for is a cautious calm. Individuals from both sides may become friends, sing a few songs, or even do business together; but as nations, I believe, India and Pakistan will never be friends.

India stopped from building Kishan Ganga Dam by International Court of Arbitration (ICA)

Print Friendly and PDF

ISLAMABAD - The International Court of Arbitration (ICA) on Saturday issued an interim order, stopping India from going ahead with the controversial project of Kishanganga Dam, reported private TV channels. Under the ICA order, India will not construct a permanent structure over River Neelum or at the site of Kishanganga, according to a statement issued by Presidential Spokesman of Pakistan. India will not go ahead with building a structure that may affect the flow of water stream, the spokesman said. He further said that Pakistan had sought from India an undertaking for construction in the light of international law which the latter had rejected. This led Pakistan to go to ICA which has now issued the interim order on the issue.

Pakistan submitted an application in the ICA regarding Indian construction of Kishanganga Dam, blocking Pakistan’s water which, according to government of Pakistan, was an open violation of Indus water Treaty. After observing Islamabad’s complaint, the ICA issued interim order to the Indian government for stopping further construction unless the case resolved. It was the unanimous decision of ICA panel conducting the case. ICA restricted New Dehli that it could not build any construction at Gurez that block Islamabad’s water. According to the ICA order, separate teams of both the countries would visit the place to resolve the issue. ICA team would also observe the place. Presidential spokesman Farhatullah Babar said Pakistan had submitted the application in the ICA and now India could not build permanent construction of River Neelum.

Time to Play in Blood and Fire - Khaak or Khoon (Naseem Hijazi)

Print Friendly and PDF

A translation of a speech from khaak aur khoon (blood and soil) addressed to the youth and black sheep with them which is bound to absorb you and make you think that the situation, then and now, is no different! This is a clash of two ideologies and cultures. The Muslims want Pakistan because they are a single nation and a nation needs an independent country to grow, flourish and exceed. Because they are humans and a human is not born to lift the load of slavery of another. When a Muslim acclaims Pakistan he has a defensive trench in his mind where he’ll get immunity from the savageness of Hindus and when a Hindu acclaims for a unified Hindustan he has a widespread hunting ground in his mind where the wolves in majority can hunt without a stop on the minority.

Blood and Soil - Naseem Hijazi
Hindus have unified and organized themselves. If we don’t close our eyes from our future than we will have to be one. Remember! If we are unable to support each other in our struggle for freedom than surely we will accompany each other for a communal destruction. Hindus in all of Hindustan want to build temples for their Idols. They are desperate to return to the past when they would sacrifice untouchables to compensate for their sins. And a Muslim wants to protect his Masjid in one corner where lamps of unity of God dazzle; where humanity, chained with caste, is conveyed the message of justice and equality. A Hindu in unified Hindustan wants Brahmins to dominate, Muslims demand for the Empire of Allah but to this day we do not know what a nationalist or a Gandhi advocate Muslim desires?

These people deny the sovereign existence of Ten Million Muslims. In their sight Pakistan demands for particularism, insularism and is reactionary, and to avoid these dangerous accusations there is only one way; to chain Ten Million Muslims in a united nationality to discard them in a dark ditch, where the groans of untouchables can still be heard. They are nationalists and their Idol cannot be happy unless they sacrifice Ten Million Muslims for it. I’m not convinced to weigh the blessing of independence with bread, however, Hindus who dissolve in the thought of a hunger hit Pakistan will have to confess that if they lose the agricultural provinces than they will have to search for food other than wheat and if Pakistanis require clothes then the industrialists of the world will require cotton from Pakistan.

These people think they are experts in tactics and that Pakistan is defensive and weak. Therefore, with all due respect to their precious suggestion we should reject the idea of the formation of Pakistan and acclaim “Inqilaab Zindabad (all hail Revolution)”, along with a gorget of slavery… The victory and defeat of Pakistan will be decided wherever in Panipat but these hangdogs will dig their graves before death. If the defence of Pakistan is at threat than it will be from these hangdogs. I satisfy them that the smudge of nation sellers on their forehead which we see today, by tomorrow will be recognized by everyone. Not for long will they be able to benefit us from their righteous suggestions. These people are peace-loving and in their opinion Hindu titles will get irritated with the acclaims of Pakistan and will increase fracas and fracas cause sadness to Gandhi’s soul, therefore, if Muslims reject the idea of Pakistan and accept the supreme majority of Hindus than no Hindu titles will get irritated, nor the fracas will increase and neither will Gandhi’s soul be sad, and most importantly the world will no more see us as illiberal or call us factional.

That is, if we, with our happiness, prepare to bury ourselves in the political cemetery of unified Hindustan than the experts in archaeology will comment after seeing our mausoleums that this was the nation who to prove their honor, peace-lovingness, good-will and open-minds, strangled themselves with their own bare hands. Here are the graves of the successors of the Mosque and Red Fort in Delhi who set ablaze their own homes to build the palace of Hindu supremacy. This is the heap of bones of those peace-loving sheep who made the wolves their guards. Pakistan is our last defensive bunker in this country now, this is our last wall to stop Hindu fascism. Pakistan is a matter of life and death. We should not forget that the formation of Pakistan is impossible without struggle. Our enemies are equipping themselves with barbs and spears, if we do not want absolute destruction then we will enter the battlefield acclaiming “ Pakistan Or Death.”

Why should we be distracted of the cry of those people who have left us to join the sailboat of our enemies, who have departed faith in the Lord of Ka’abah to embrace faith in the idols of Bharat. We should now gather all our attention to people who desire to live and die in the name of Islam. We need to convey the message to every part of this country that it’s time to play in blood and fire for our honor, independence and survival. Gentlemen! This is no time for speeches! Bargains or statements! It’s time for command and action!

Open Letter from an Indian Muslim to Pakistani Youth - Khaak or Khoon

Print Friendly and PDF

My Pakistani Brother!
I'm writing this letter to you from a hospital of Calcutta, India. I have reached here after passing through a storm of fire and blood in Bihaar. What ever I have witnessed, can't be explained in words. And if I explain it, you won't be able to believe it. How would you believe that a lively town of 2 thousand people where the dawn had smiles in it, the sun set brought horrible shrieks and heartbreaking hues. Where the fresh sun rays had seen lively, smiling faces, the setting sun rays saw those faces changing into cold dead bodies. My brother, that was my beloved village, where the dwellers of Province of Bihaar have witnessed the real face of the champions of “Shaanti and Aashti”. Men and women's noses, ears, hands and other organs were cut into pieces and thrown and decorated on the floors and stairs of our local Mosque. Innocent children were tortured by knives. Young girls' dignity was abused horribly and heartlessly torn into pieces; the fathers and the brothers were forced and tortured to see that heart-tearing sight!

Hindus butchering innocent Muslim villagers in India. Half cut Muslim corpses and scattered around limbs, pools of blood can be seen in this rare picture.
Perhaps you will assume us as cowards. But believe me, this was a storm we had not been prepared for. The congress government had tied us before unleashing inhumane Jackals on us. The police that had raided our houses and taken away even minute knives and nail cutters, had provided guns and ammunition to hostile Hindu forces. Government was theirs. Law was theirs. Police was theirs. Arms and ammunition were theirs. How long could we fight, with how many more could we fight? Those who stood bare handed to defend, were cut into pieces. Those who had valor, dignity and courage were torn ruthlessly. My village's 500 youthful men fought for 4 hours with sticks against those inhumane creatures who were 8-10 times more in number and all were loaded with ammunition. Later they arrived more with more pistols and grenades in the guidance of the police. The triumphed. But was it our defeat? If in the midst of bullets 500 men die, fighting against 10 thousand. Old and children are cut down, and then the entire village is left on fire. Is it the defeat of innocents? And then an old father is hung to a tree, forced to see the sight of the barbarism that makes his daughters shriek, shiver and then die out after torture. And then their dead bodies...... I have witnessed every atrocity! They left me thinking a dead body. I wonder why am I still alive? Why does the sun still rise? Why do the stars in the sky blink?!

I am not writing this letter to you so that you will send your condolences. Not even a single home is spared in my village. The Muslims here have to suffer much much more at the hands of Hindu fascism. The Hindu barbarism still has to show more. There's still time for the Muslims to wake up and get alert. Wake up and defend your insecure sisters and daughters before it gets too late. It's about time that you stand to defend your honour and dignity which is at stake at the hands of Hindu fascism and barbarism. If you still don't stand up then we don't deserve to live.

This is an excerpt from a true story of Muslim misery in India, Khaak aur Khoon, by Naseem Hijazi. The above letter was written by a Muslim to his fellow brothers telling the height of atrocities and brutalities carried out by the fascist Hindus urging him to wake up, stand and achieve Pakistan in order to survive with honour and dignity. This was not just one incident of a kind, but hundreds of thousands alike. Today after 64 years, Liberal secular fascists, sold out leaders and Congressi Mullahs' are once again confusing the nation about the existence of this sacred land; Pakistan. If you still doubt this land, or either the driving force of this land i.e., its sacred ideology (Two Nation theory), nature will throw you in the storms of massacre, brutalities and atrocities once again! (Allah forbid)

Heinous Water Terrorism by India continues amid friendship charade

Print Friendly and PDF

MANCHANABAD (INP) - India has released additional water in Sutlej River submerging dozens of villages and destroying standing crops on thousands of acres of land here. According to details, India released 70,000 cusecs of land which after passing through Sulemanki headworks entered Bhindi area of Manchanabad. As a result, many villages of the area have been submerged under water. Because of the gushing water, fertile land along the river banks was also washed away. Sources said that local people have started moving to safer places where administration has set up flood relief camps and concerned staff has been placed on alert.

The administration has asked people in Lala Amar Singh, Usmanpur Ratika, Pir Khalis, Bonga Akbar Mari Nihal, Bachianwali to shift to relief centres. Staff Reporter from Chunian adds: After failing to provide shelter and relief items for the flood affectees in various villages of Kasur, the district police officer on Friday forbade the Irrigation Department’s flood information centre to update the media on flood situation and inflow and outflow of water in the river Sutlej. He also gave a shut-up call to the administration of DHQ Hospital Kasur. However, the people living in Talwar Post, Kekar Post, Baqarke, Kothi Fateh Muhammad, Nagar, Aimen Pura, Shehjara, Chanda Singh Wala, Kalanger, Kasoki and Mashteki are crying out for help.

Yesterday, the flood information centre claimed that the Ganda Singh Wala gauge is showing a mark of 20.00, while the total inflow is 82,500 cusecs. When asked how it was possible that after 24 hours the water level has not even decreased or increased an inch because they reported the same measurements yesterday too, the officials at the centre said, “Please dial the number of the DPO office for update.” However, impeccable sources revealed that the current gauge at Ganda Singh Wala was 19.80 and the total inflow of water at the same point is 78,000 cusecs. The sources also revealed that in order to get maximum funding from the provincial government, the district government has decided to exhibit a more pathetic situation for a few days further. Although the already released funding by the provincial government has not yet been spent anywhere except on a few banners.
The river level here has significantly come down today but the miseries of the poor villagers are still at peak. There were a number of complaints regarding theft of valuables from the empty homes of the villagers in their absence during evacuation. But the police have not registered even a single case in this regard. Similarly, the patients are suffering from cholera, malaria and skin-related diseases but the hospital administration denied to give any official numbers. However, sources privy to the health issues said that since Monday 57 cases of cholera, 22 of skin diseases and 75 of malaria have been reported from these villages. A local social activist, GA Khan Advocate, termed these actions of district administration dictatorial and a clear violation of “Freedom of Information Ordinance 2002”.
Said Alam Khan from Peshawar adds: At least 38 dead bodies have so far been recovered while 26 other persons are still missing, as flash flood caused by torrential rains wreaked havoc in Kohistan district. A total of two Army helicopters took part in rescue operation to recover the dead bodies and provide relief to the victims on the second day of the deluge at tehsil Kundia of district Kohistan. Of the total 38 recovered bodies, 30 have also been identified and handed over to their heirs, while efforts are on to recover the remaining bodies soon, DCO Kohistan Syed Imtiaz Hussain Shah told TheNation on telephone from Kohistan on Friday.
The dead bodies, he said, had been swept away by gushing floodwater to downtowns and that was why, there were some hurdles in their recovery. He said a total of 64 persons had gone missing in the flood, adding that the 26 remaining bodies would be recovered soon. On Friday, two helicopters of Pakistan Army took part in the rescue operation by airlifting affected families and providing foods to the victims living in remote mountainous worst affected Gibrial union council in Kohistan. Moreover, DCO Syed Imtiaz Hussain Shah said that hailing from flood-hit areas, over 100 persons were also treated along with those 18 people who sustained minor injuries in the mishap. “We have distributed ample food stuff among the victims”, he added. Besides, giving tents, almost all the daily use stuffs are included in the food packages.

He said, “I think the food packages would be enough for two to three months”. If weather permitted, the remaining relief work and packages distribution would be commenced today (Saturday), the DCO maintained. He said they did their job with very much care so as to assist the deluge-hit families by making proper assessment. A local while talking to TheNation said that floods damaged the whole infrastructure. It would take enough time to make it functional, he added. Due to the disaster, several far off areas are still cut-off from other parts of the province. He informed that about 1600 families were residing in Gibral area of tehsil Kundia. In addition, the deluge has also washed away almost 80 houses, standing crops and many cattle. The severe flood multiplied the miseries of the residents of Kohistan, as it is one of the backward districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where most of the people have to get basic facilities yet, he concluded.

Water Terrorism - Indian-spilled water sinks villages in Kasur

Print Friendly and PDF

LAHORE/KASUR – A fresh flood warning has been sounded across Punjab province in the wake of possible massive deluge, as India spilled more than 70,000 cusecs of additional water into River Sutlej without prior information to Pakistani authorities, inundating dozens of villages in Ganda Singhwala area of Kasur district on Tuesday morning. Water experts say that New Delhi, in sheer violation of the Indus Water Treaty, released more than 70,000 cusecs of water into River Sutlej at Pakistani side which mounted its level to an alarming level and washed away dozens of villages in Kasur after creating an emergency flood situation in the entire area.

Badin devastated by Indian water flood
“The water level in River Sutlej is speedily mounting up as more water is coming from the Indian side. The Pakistani authorities have set up flood camps in the endangered areas of Kasur to overcome any possible mishap”, a provincial government official told this reporter. On Tuesday morning, according to water experts, more than 48,000 cusecs of water was passing through River Sutlej at Ganda Singhwala point. “We are expecting that the water level may further rise as Indians are releasing more floodwater from reservoirs upstream,” Ayyub Khan Mayo, Chief of the Pakistan Muttahida Kisan Mahaz said. Agriculturists feared that the expected high flood of water could destroy the standing crops on a vast land comprising hundreds of hectares. Officials said that thousands of stranded people are lying under the open sky in most parts of Kasur district while they are yet to receive any emergency aid from the authorities concerned.
Meanwhile, the Metrological Department has predicted that water level in the Ravi would remain low during this monsoon but after release of water from India, floods could hit Bhutsen and Basantar drainages of the river. Though not at danger level yet, but the water level is also mounting up in the Ravi River, sources added. Over 170 villages along the Ravi are evacuated every year while the local administration is put on high alert in Narowal and Sialkot districts to cope with any emergency, official sources said. “The local administration is working with the villagers to get over one hundred villages evacuated in Narowal district in the wake of possible deluge in the locality as India has started diverting flood waters to Pakistan”, sources added.

The Pakistan-specific defence structures of India could also wash away drainage located at Shakargarh. Massive flooding is also possible in Basantar, Jhajri, Oojh and Khattar drainages and a water inflow of 100,000 cusec at Shahdara could cause massive destruction, if India resorted to divert floodwater towards Pakistan, the officials warned. It is worth mentioning that during the Pak-India parleys held in March and May 2010, India had agreed to install telemetry system on the rivers in its territory to check real-time water flow. But later, New Delhi refused to respond to the issues raised by Islamabad. In such an eventuality, the big question remains, how aggressively India is violating the Indus Water Teary (IWT-1960) by diverting the river courses.

“We have credible reports that India during this season is going to release about 200,000-cusec additional water in the River Ravi, Sutlej, Jhelum and Chenab. This high flow of water is bound to wash away thousands of villages in Punjab province, if efforts are not made to stop Indian hegemony on river waters”, experts said. Water experts also revealed that Pakistani engineers are battling hard not only to nullify Indian hegemony over the river waters but also trying to avert possible massive deluge as India is likely to release over 100,000 cusecs of additional water in the River Ravi without prior information to the Pakistani authorities. Experts say that on the one hand India is stealing Pakistani water by building dams on rivers flowing into Pakistan from Occupied Kashmir while during monsoon season New Delhi deflect river-courses to release floodwater towards Pakistani side.

It is important to mention here that India is constructing 40 dams on River Jhelum, out of which 4 big and 16 small dams have started functioning. India is constructing the third largest dam of the world in Kargil on River Indus, which will block 45 % flow of water to Pakistan. Our Kasur correspondent adds: As water surged in Sutlej on Tuesday and submerged standing crops in Kasur villages, the district administration issued a final call for the evacuation of the villages likely to be affected by flood. District Kasur administration claimed on Tuesday to have completed all preparations to meet any untoward condition but was facing problems to motivate villagers to leave homes and move with their cattle and valuables to safer places. On Tuesday, the water level at Keekar post was 17.5 feet (a rise of 4 feet during the last couple of days) which was expected to rise further.

Source said the water released from India was rainwater accumulated at Opra Barrage and it had nothing to do with the Bakhra Dam that was yet to be filled. Standing crops stretching over hundreds of acres were inundated due to the floodwater at more than 15 villages. These villages include Bhikhi Wind, Kalanger Nagar, Kamalpura, Mastaiki, Pattan, Ganda Singhwala, Basti Bangladesh, Phati Wala and Bakkarke. Distrct administration was there for the last two nights to meet any emergency. It had installed emergency tents at Talwar post to help people of affected villages. AC capt (R) Altaf Hussain said at Talwar post the floodwater that was of low level had so far submerged crops outside some villages but it had not entered in the houses. He added that efforts were underway to evacuate the villages and shift the cattle heads and valuables to safer places. District’s Rescue Incharge Dr Ikhtisham Hasan said his local teams were already in the affected areas under the supervision of Naveed Chaudhry while a special rescue force from Lahore had also arrived at Talwar post on Monday night.

Movement against Indian water theft starts today

Print Friendly and PDF

Pakistan Muthida Kisan Mahaz (PMKM) will be leading a movement from Sunday (today) to condemn Indian water aggression against Pakistan and to foil the Indian plan of depriving Pakistan from its share of water in the rivers irrigating both the countries by building dams on Chenab, Jehlum and Sindh. The protest movement will be launched from Mirpur (AJK) where PMKM chief Muhammad Ayub Khan Mayo will apprise the media about impact of construction of Kishan Ganga Dam on Pakistan’s agriculture, Mangla Dam and cities of AJK. The movement has jointly been arranged by the Pakistan Water and Power Action Committee and Muthida Kisan Mahaz Azad Jammu & Kashmir on Sunday. According to the plan, Muthida Kisan Mahaz AJK and Pakistan Water and Power Action Committee will also arrange a protest rally in Muzaffarabad on April 05, 2011 to highlight violations of human rights by India in Indian Held Kashmir, construction of dams on Chenab, Jhelum and Sindh rivers by India which would result in less water to Pakistan, making it unable to irrigate its fertile land or generate cheaper power to meet energy shortage.

The Baglihar hydroelectric dam on the river Chenab, which flows from Indian-occupied Kashmir into Pakistan
“India through constructing new dams and water reservoirs wanted to create a food crisis in Pakistan”, Muhammad Ayub Khan Mayo said in a statement issued here Saturday. He said Indian project of Kishan Ganga Dam would ruin Azad Kashmir’s beauty and environment. This is a conspiracy to destroy Nelum-Jhelum Power Project and an open economic war against people of Pakistan and Azad Jammu-o-Kashmir, he observed. He said that workers of Muthida Kisan Mahaz AJK and Pakistan Water and Power Action Committee will also submit a memorandum to UNO High Commission Muzaffarabad on the same day drawing the attention of the world conscience towards the Indian plan and its negative impact on AJK and Pakistan.

PEW blasts India's intentions of turning Pakistan into desert, slams UN & stooge regime of Pakistan

Print Friendly and PDF

The Pakistan Economy Watch (PEW) on Sunday said that India has stepped up its secret war against Pakistan to turn it into a desert. Pakistan, once a water happy country is now facing threat of water starvation but the response of our stooge regime remains far from satisfactory, it said. President PEW, Dr Murtaza Mughal said that India continues to steal our water while all efforts by Pakistan to find an agreeable solution have proved counterproductive. The Indus Waters Treaty has failed to settle water disputes between Pakistan and India therefore, it needs to be revisited and made to order, he said. Otherwise, he warned, nothing will forestall a war between two countries.

One of India's illegally constructed dams in the Indian Occupied and Brutalized Jamu & Kashmir
It’s in the interest of USZ and the international community to take measures to avert a possible water war. He said that the fraudulent United Nations was also supporting Indian conspiracies by pumping huge funds in such controversial projects. He lamented that resolution of such important issue has been left at the mercy of few bureaucrats as politicians remain busy in their favourite hobby of mudslinging. Dr Murtaza Mughal said that industries are being closed due to electricity and gas load shedding while insignificant issues keep all the political parties very pre occupied.
