Geo's Shame: Mir Shakeel's Mother, Brother File a Fraud Case Against him

Print Friendly and PDF

After its latest false flag attack on the country's prime intelligence agency, the ISI, Geo has come under heavy fire from all sections of the Pakistani civil society not only on the social media but on-ground as well. What came as a pleaseant surprise was a firm stand against Geo taken by the patriotic elements in the Pakistani Media which have never been this vocal in the past. The blatant attacks based on fabrications and lies against the country's defenders seems to have angered the nation to such an extent that there seems to be no turning back.

There are some startling reports that are circulating within the patriotic circles on the social media that are pointing out at some more disturbing facts against Geo. These might end up increasing the public anger against them even further. There are some reports that Mir Javed ur Rehman, the brother of Mir Shakeel ur Rehman, along with his mother Mrs Mahmooda Khalid are residing in Karachi in the old house of Mir Khalil ur Rehman. Both Brothers (Mir Javed and Mir Shakeel) had 30% shares each with their mother having 40% shares in Jang group. However later, being a dirty player that he is, Mir Shakeel got the shares of his mother transferred to himself through illegal means.

Reports say that Mir Javed has filed a case against Mir Shakeel that he has transferred his mother's share to himself through fraudulent activities and forgery, without the consent of his mother. Report further states that Mir Shakeel's own mother is standing against him with his brother Mir Javed on this case.

Seeing this report, it is no more hard to believe that a person who commits a fraud against his own mother, how can he be sincere to his country or to the nation? This fact is further reinforced by these reports that Jang group owes about Rs. 1 Billion to the National Bank of Pakistan which, upon demand, it has not only arrogantly refused to pay, but also threatened a blackmailing smear media campaign against the National Bank officials. Moreover, Mir Shakeel owns no less than TWO mansions at Emirates Hill, Dubai which are worth no less than Rs. 50 Million each. He not only lives a royal life but also enjoys 2 Rolls Royce cars and a private jet.

Interesting but horrifying to note here is that Jang group has successfully bought off important pawns in major Pakistani institutions who safeguards its illegal activities. Just like PEMRA, Supreme Court, Islamabad High Court and PTA, Mir Shakeel has some notorious FBR officers on his payroll who force FBR to stay mum on the fact that Jang Group is a tax defaulter of no less than Rs. 2.75 Billion. It is also ironic to note that majority of the high rate commercials being telecast on Geo are given to it by none other than the undisputed kings of corruption e.g., Malik Riaz, Mian Mansha and the Punjab Govt itself.

However, the dark age of Media terrorism is about to be over. GEO is continuously losing its rating and the unbelievable has already happened. Dunyia, ARY and Samma have already taken over GEO! Seeing the public sentiments oozing out anger on social media against Geo, it is visible that Jang Group's days of corruption, terror and backstabbing of Pakistani State are numbered.

Geo Insider: "Halakat vs Shahadat" in Jirga was Designed by Mir Shakeel ur Rehman

Print Friendly and PDF

Mir Shakeel ur Rehman. Owner of Jang Group/Geo TV
It was an early winter night. The small intimate gathering at the rooftop of a private bungalow was a calm affair but a tête-à-tête with a well-known senior media person from Geo Network was red hot! The topic of conversation was the man behind Jang and Geo Group, Mir Shakil ur Rahman, who has transitioned from being a man behind a media empire of various famous anchors and journalist to the man accused of media-tyranny, corruption, disloyalty and treason to Pakistani nation and its solidarity. Usually hiding and firing his shells using the shoulders of his army of opinion makers in Pakistani media, Mir Shakeel has apparently felt the glare of the spotlight he has to face unwillingly.

Known for being the mastermind behind the media policies formed by Jang and Geo yet not coming forward in the limelight, Mir Shakeel ur Rahman, has now become the target of resentment by Pakistani nation and lost his media empires credibility at least in the matters of army and Intelligence. The major game changer in this regard was the announcement of a new media channel BOL that really shook Mir’s 60-year-old media empire in an unprecedented manner. BOL unveiled the anti-army sentiment of Mir Shakeel and with its bold and upfront claim of bringing about a media revolution, it has so far stirred up a storm in the media industry and at the same time making the Mir nervous. With a single full-page Job ad and a heavy online advertising campaign directed targeting  nationalistic sentiment with slogans like “I am BOL- I am Pakistan,” BOL has certainly helped in building the much needed positive sentiments for the country and armed forces. Next in line was the ARY group with its stalwart Mubasher Lucman who didn’t take much time to realize the need to further the dents that arrival of BOL caused in the foundations of the Jang/Geo media empire. Apparently fed up from the anti-Pakistan stance of the Jang/Geo group, Lucman went all out as a one-man army against Mir. In the process he also benefitted from a renewed fame and highest ever ratings.

“Mir Shakeel wants to just get the Wardi Walas off his trail!” said the media personality well known for his gift of gab while taking a sip of tea, “The direction we have received is simple: ‘get me out of focus… change Mir vs Army to something else vs army’. We initially went positive and aired 3 hours of pro-Armed forces programming on 27 October Kashmir Day this year when last year we barely aired a 2 minute piece in off-primetime”

“But the ongoing Lucman attacks were not heading off the heat from Mir Shakeel in spite of Kashmir stunt – only then Gen. Musharraf’s bail was approved! We were again debriefed to keep Military perspective in the forefront but with the change of direction..” he smirked and said adjusting his hair and specs , “Mir Sahab entrusts such things within his inner circle of reliable friends only, which obviously includes me.. This time instructing again to create a distraction (for Army) by pitching them right against Judiciary and Media! The air time we gave to Musharraf was unbelievable… His bail is no longer a story… People are not interested in him but we still aired his story 100 times in a day amid persistent pressure from Mir sahab. He wanted to fight with army but not on his own personal issues of treason and corruption. He wanted to fight on some other issue where his personal self is not involved and Musharraf was surely a safe bet.”

“Then came the Jirga on Geo! Did you see how Safi’s questions to Munawar Hasan were on the “Halaqat vs Shahadat”? How they brought ghost from the past, Major Sanaullah, in discussion about Taliban? This was all staged by Mir Shakeel ur Rahman to create a smokescreen for himself!” When I smiled at this comment, he sweared vehemently upon the Holy Book, saying,”Giving so much hype and airtime to Munawar Hasan’s comment about Hakimullah Mehsood’s ‘shahdat’ – all part of our strategy! All primetime anchors were assigned to cover this and this story ONLY!“ “(I heard) clear instructions “Shaheedon ko ragarr do!” from Mir (Shakeel ur Rahman)!” Smiling and shaking his head in a astonished manner he said, “You have to give due credit to Mir Sahab’s scheming mind – no wonder he has stayed in shadows for so long despite owning the leading media corporation in Pakistan.”

He added, “ISPR’s response to Jamat-e-Islami’s comment was an unexpected cherry-on-top for Mir Sahab too. He could only wish that a pro-establishment party’s rift with Army will create a distraction of this magnitude to take the limelight away from Mir Shakeel ur Rahman and the revelations made by Lucman.  In short, Munawar Hasan became a scapegoat for Mir Shakeel ur Rahman and us Geo people!”

“Mir Sahab didn’t stop there and once this “shahadat” issue tends to fade, he immediately directed Ansaar Abbasi to write a main story for his newspapers regarding how FIA is afraid to question the army leadership in Musharraf’s treason case. We again covered this as our lead story in GEO throughout the day… How intelligent of Mir sahab!! Reminding people of Musharraf and the present army’s role as his savior will certainly help in mudding that positive sentiment being created for army and the negative one for him….Cheez to buhut oonchi hein wo !!”

With topics transitioning from media to politics to religion, his ramble dragged on and on but my mind pondered on something else: That how accountable is a person like Mir Shakeel Ur Rahman for putting personal gains and security over journalism ethics and more importantly, national security? Is there any limit to his agenda of manipulation ranging from India to U.S and from Army to Judiciary? Will people like him keep relying on distractions and goldfish memory of our public and lurk in the shadows? With these thoughts, the tweet from Mubashar Lucman popped up on my smartphone screen, which resonated what I thought:

Zionist Israhell threatens to send GAZA back to middle ages!

Print Friendly and PDF

Israeli Deputy Prime Minister Eli Yishai said: We must blow Gaza back to the Middle Ages destroying all the infrastructure including roads & water.

(And see this.)

Destroying civilian infrastructure is – of course – a war crime under the Geneva Convention. The following are also war crimes under the Geneva Convention:

  • The indiscriminate or disproportionate use of force
  • Collective punishment for the acts of a few
  • Targeting civilians
  • Targeted assassinations – such as Israeli’s recent assassination of a Hamas leader – are also likely war crimes.

Indeed, Israeli’s alleged policy of intentionally reducing caloric intake by Palestinians living in Gaza – if real – would be a a years-long, systemic and continuous war crime. (Israel has also restricted access to medicine to the residents of Gaza.)

Likewise, Israeli’s use of white phosphorous during “Operation Cast Lead”, and its alleged use of the substance this week – if proven – would also constitute a war crime.  Specifically, Israel ratified Protocol III of Convention on Certain Conventional Weapons (“Protocol III”) – which outlaws the use of incendiary devices in war – in 2007.

Moreover, the 1925 Geneva Protocol (which is different from Protocol III) prohibits “the use in war of asphyxiating, poisonous or other gases”.  The U.S. National Safety Council states that “White phosphorus is a poison . . . If its combustion occurs in a confined space, white phosphorus will remove the oxygen from the air and render the air unfit to support life . . . It is considered a dangerous disaster hazard because it emits highly toxic fumes. The EPA has listed white phosphorus as a Hazardous Air Pollutant.  Indeed, it is interesting to note that the U.S. previously called white phosphorous a chemical weapon when Saddam used it against the Kurds.

Indeed, the UN has repeatedly found Israeli’s actions in Gaza to be a war crime.  See this, this and this.  The current campaign certainly includes war crimes as well.

Misguiding the Baloch People

Print Friendly and PDF

After taking cognisance of the general pardon announced by the Pakistan government for the Baloch separatist leaders, and favaourable hearings of the Supreme Court of Pakistan about the missing persons of the province of Balochistan, holding Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), Military Intelligence (MI) and Frontier Corps (FC) responsible for them including deteriorated law and order situation in the province, Sardar Akhtar Jan Mengal, former Chief Minister of Balochistan and head of the Balochistan National Party (BNP) returned to Pakistan. Meanwhile, son of late Nawab Akbar Bugti and chief of Jamhoori Watan Party (JWP) Nawabzada Talal Akbar Bugti also came back.
Both the Baloch leaders shared same views in misguiding the Baloch people by concealing the real situation of Baloshistan, created by Pakistan’s external enemies. During the hearing in the Supreme Court, Sardar Akhtar Mengal distorted the facts, while raising false allegations against the security agencies of the country, which have continuously been leveling by the anti-Pakistan elements. Giving a six-point solution to the Balochistan issue, Akhtar Mengal suggested to the Supreme Court that all proxy death squads, operating under the supervision ISI or MI in the province should be disbanded. He stated that all missing persons who are under the custody of intelligence agencies should be produced, and Baloch political parties should be allowed to resume their political activities without any interference from these agencies. Mengal explained that those responsible for torture, killing and dumping of bodies of Baloch political leaders and activists should be brought to justice. He added that military operation should be stopped in the province and measures should be taken for the rehabilitation of the displaced Balochis.
In reply to Akhtar’s statement, the Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry ordered that all the disappeared people should be produced before the court and proxy death squads formed by the ISI and MI should be disbanded. Afterwards, Akhtar Mengal revealed that he will not talk to the government about any reconciliation process unless the acceptance of his six points.

Talal Akbar Bugti showed the same tone by inciting the Balochis against the centre in some diplomatic style. While emphasising that the government should provide basic rights to Baloch people, he blamed the security agencies for killing of people, missing persons and military operation in Balochistan. He also declared that he would not take part in the elections until FC, ISI and MI leave the province.

Besides, political leaders like Nawaz Sharif of PML-N), Syed Munawar Hasan, Ameer of Jamaat-i-Islami and Chairman Imran Khan of PTI including those of other religious parties who met Akhtar Mengal and Talal Bugti encouraged them in maligning country’s key security institutes, and misguiding the Balochis about the missing persons in order to increase their vote bank at the cost of Pakistan’s integrity. Especially Imran Khan supported the six-points of Sardar Akhtar Mengal.

Talal also invited all political parties to make grand alliance for general elections and to lend a hand to pull the country out of the present crisis. However, during their interaction with media Akhtar Mengal started following the tone of late Sheikh Mujibur Rehman, while Talal indicated that the current situation of Balochistan is worse than that of West Pakistan in 1971. Nevertheless, the federal government and the armed forces in a joint statement to the Supreme Court, rejected assertions of Baloch leaders Sardar Akhtar Mengal and also of Tala Bugti saying that “armed forces are neither conducting any military operation in Balochistan nor are there any death squads of intelligences agencies in the province.” The statement clarified that no missing person was in the custody of the secret agencies and every political party in Balochistan was free to work.

In fact, baseless accusations of both the Baloch leaders are part of a deliberate campaign which has been accelerated by the foreign-based NGOs, human rights groups and media against Islamabad. With the secret support of American CIA, Indian RAW and Israeli Mosssad which are well-penetrated in these entities and Pakistani media are being used for vile propaganda against Pak Army, ISI and FC in relation to the human rights violations and disappeared persons. US, India and Israel seek to separate Balochistan from the federation of Pakistan to obtain their secret strategic designs. With the help of Baloch separatist leaders who have taken refuge in western countries, these hostile entities are perennially distorting the image of Islamabad and its security agencies in relation to Balochistan.

For these sinister aims, on July 31, 2011, a rally was organised by Baloch Human Rights Council in UK in front of the US Embassy in London, which raised false allegations such as inhuman torture and extrajudicial murder of the Baloch intellectuals by the Pakistan’s security agencies. Besides, a demonstration was held outside the United Nations in Genva on the occasion of the 19th Session of UN Human Rights Council to condemn the human rights violations in Balochistan. Apperently, the demonstration was organised by Mehran Baloch, Balochistan’s representative at the United Nations and Noordin Mengal, but in fact, it was arranged by anti-Pakistan entities and Indo-Israeli lobbies with the cladestine assistance of America. On all these occasions, Sardar Akhtar Mengal and Talal Bugti played a key role secretly.

Recently, the delegation of the UN Working Group also visited Pakistan to know about human rights violations and situation of missing persons, particularly of Balochistan. As the UN is under the influence of the US-led major countries, so it also raised similar allegations against Pakistan’s security agencies. Regrettably, Akhtar Mengal and Talal Bugti also met those media anchors who are working on the payroll of the foreign elements, and they provided them false information to misguide the general masses about Balochistan.

Reliable reports suggest that these media commentators and Baloch separatist elements including Akhtar Mengal and Talal Bugti have been invited by the US officials and participated in their secret meetings in Pakistan so as to accelerate propaganda against Balochistan as part of a conspiracy against the country.

Pakistan’s internal elements, especially political parties should know that the reality behind the worsening circumstances and the missing people of Balochistan is that secret agencies like CIA, RAW and Mossad which have well-established their collective network in Afghanistan are in collusion, and have perennially been supporting bomb blasts, suicide attacks, abductions, target killings, ethnic and sectarian violence in Balochistan through their affiliated militant groups such as Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), Jundollah (God’s soldiers), Balochistan National Party led by Sardar Akhtar Mengal and other Baloch feudal lords (Sardars) to dismember Pakistan. Their subversive activities have resulted in missing persons in Balochistan.

In this regard, Pakistan’s Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik repeatedly disclosed that he also showed proof about training camps being run in Afghanistan, and supply of arms and ammunition by the Afghan government to Baloch separatists inside Balochistan. Malik explained that BLA has owned 299 terror attacks in the province in which more than 170 personnel of the FC were martyred. It is mentionable that a Gallup survey of the UK official body, DFID, conducted on July 20, this year, disclosed that the vast majority of the Baloch people oppose the idea of an independent Balochistan. This survey has proved that some external elements have been conducting acts of sabotage in the province by backing the minority groups.

While, civil, federal and provincial governments are making strenuous efforts to restore peace and order in the province. For this purpose, a paramilitary committee has also been formed by the ruling party to hold negotiations with the disgruntled elements. And recently, Chief of Army Stall Gen. Kayani stated that the military would support any political settlement in Balochistan within the confines of the constitution.

No doubt, on the direction of their foreign masters, Baloch leaders Akhtar Mengal and Talal Bugti have returned Pakistan to further misguide the Baloch people by arousing their sympathies through their pre-conditions and by manipulating the law and order situation.

The War on Words and Facts

Print Friendly and PDF

If you control the language, you control the argument
If you control the argument, you control information
If you control information, you control history
If you control history, you control the past
He who controls the past controls the future.” – Big Brother, 1984.

The deepest form of social control is to govern what a human being believes is true and false, right and wrong. When you short-circuit a person’s critical faculty and moral sense, he will obey authority with no need for force because authority has defined who he is.

Such control requires the monopolization of information. That is why totalitarian states establish compulsory state schools, throttle freedom of speech and the press, broadcast propaganda, legislate the Internet, and obsessively monitor what people say to each other. They need to eliminate any competition in the ‘truth business’. And, so, those who know the “Emperor has no clothes” are silenced by various means.

The control of what is true and false can be called the democratization of reality. ‘Facts’ are manufactured by those who control information and, then, they are broadcast widely to unquestioning people who believe them because the ‘facts’ spew from authorities or the media. If enough people believe the heavily gerrymandered stats on unemployment and inflation, then the economy is not so bad. If the media is upbeat about the economy, then consumer confidence will turn things around. If enough people believe the police “serve and protect,” then those who cry ‘brutality!’ become troublemakers. If politicians are viewed as “public servants,” then they cease to be masters. Thus, what is reality becomes established by consensus.

There are many ways through which reality is democratized. An important one is through the control of language.

In his essay “Politics and the English Language” (1946), George Orwell wrote, “[The] decline of a language must ultimately have political and economic causes…. [To] think clearly is a necessary first step toward political regeneration: so that the fight against bad English is not frivolous.”

A vigorous war on words is being waged. Whether you call the process political correctness, cultural Marxism or thought control, certain words have become crimes; they have become hate speech. Thought-crime legislation prohibits the expression of specific ideas, including religious ones and ones that ‘bully’, while encouraging the expression of sanctioned ideas. It is also illegal to indicate an intent to commit violence – for example, posting that Obama needs to be shot or the government should be overthrown through violence; it is illegal even if you take no action and have no means to do so.

In other words, some of the pamphlets that sparked the American Revolution would now be illegal. Or they would be rewritten, as school textbooks currently are, to eliminate politically wrong words and ideas.

The attack on words is an attack on your ability to think. Try an experiment. Chose a belief that you have never expressed orally or in writing. Construct an argument for it in your mind and, then, express it out loud. Usually what seems clear in your mind will be clumsy on your tongue because the spoken word is a refinement of thought that reveals fuzziness. Now write the argument down; the written word is also a refinement of thought. Then express the argument to other people. Their response will quickly expose any sloppy definition of terms, counter-evidence, or other flaws in your thinking. This process of refinement begins with having the words with which to think.

Another way to destroy words is through ‘doublethink’ by which a word or term is also used to mean its opposite. An example is “affirmative action”; because it is wrong to judge people on the basis of skin color or gender, universities and employers give preference to people based on skin color and gender. Another example is “diversity”; because differences within human beings are to be celebrated we must eliminate objectionable differences.

The driving force behind the banning of words and doublethink is ideological. Consider radical feminism. The movement views language as a source of women’s oppression. Indeed, language is sometimes viewed as the source. Thus, they consider it an insult to be called “Madam Chairman”. They insist on replacing the generic “he” with the ungainly “he/she” or merely with “she.” History becomes herstory. There is a concerted drive to include feminist, lesbian and gay characters in literature and schoolbooks. History is re-written and taught to exclude prominent white males while including the voices of women, even if those voices were comparatively insignificant.

Words are deemed to be so powerful that they become acts in and of themselves. For example, pornography becomes an act of violence against women.

How did words become actions?

One place to look for an explanation is within academia where the idea of social constructs took root some decades ago. A social construct is commonly defined as “a social mechanism, phenomenon, or category created and developed by society” through which thoughts and action are organized.”

Where does the concept come from? In his influential work Les Mots et Les Choses (Words and Things) French philosopher Michel Foucault (1928-1984) introduced the idea that all of reality is a social construct. He argued that history and culture are indispensable in understanding reality. This hypothesis is not a controversial one. But then Foucault introduced the idea of an “episteme” which means “knowledge” in Greek. The episteme of a culture is its self-enclosed totality that includes its language. The episteme is the way that a specific culture or era approaches the world.

As history progresses, one episteme replaces another. That of the Middle Ages is replaced by that of the Renaissance and, then, a new era is said to dawn. The change in episteme literally changes  the basic facts of a culture. Consider the human body. Most philosophers assume that there is a pre-cultural human body. In other words, they assume that history and culture do not alter the permanence of man’s makeup. But for Foucault, the human body lived in the episteme and, so, was defined by it. The human body was constructed by society, including aspects that medical science might consider to be permanent physiological ‘givens’. Foucault devoted an entire treatise, The Birth of the Clinic, to the study of what he called the “medical gaze.” The medical gaze objectifies the body and converts it into a well-ordered thing that medicine then seeks to control through surgery, diet, drugs, and so forth. But the medical gaze of the eighteenth century was different from that of the twentieth century because the episteme was different. Therefore, the eighteenth century human body was literally different from the twentieth century one. The body itself is redefined by each society that examined it. Biology is shifting sand with no lasting definition, no lasting ‘fact’. Thus, there is a total historical relativism.

The most important factor in establishing an episteme is the texts of society – its words. As a way of understanding this point, consider the Victorian era’s repressed sexuality. A common approach to examining it is to look at the contemporary plays and literature, songs and newspapers; in other words, to examine the texts of Victorian society and conclude those texts reflect a sexually repressed culture. Foucault saw exactly the opposite. He believed that the society reflected the texts. The text caused the society, and not vice versa.

It is important to stress: Foucault did not say that society is influenced by the words and images that flow through it: he claimed that the texts created the episteme, which embodied the society itself. He claimed that speaking and writing about a repressed sexuality caused the repression of sexuality. Words construct our world and, so become the key to power over it.

Relativism and subjectivism have had a devastating impact on the status of facts. In a world that is socially constructed, there are no eternal facts; there is only the reality that is constructed by words and that reality can be shifted. The way to alter the reality is to alter the language and the texts. And, so, the task of changing the world involves deconstructing texts; for example, excluding words from Huckleberry Finn to make it politically correct. Then the work of social reconstruction begins by which words are banned, history is rewritten and thoughts are criminalized. An entirely new set of ‘facts’ become the social reality.

Foucault’s ideas have entered academia and society in a somewhat watered down form but they cause harm to words and the very concept of ‘a fact’ wherever they arise. As words become illegal, as words lose their meaning, our ability to think is impoverished. As facts are obscured and purposefully mistated, our ability to reach conclusions based on evidence is diminished. And, if reasoning is a defining characteristic of human being, then we become slightly less human.

Truth and the Zionist Corporate media

Print Friendly and PDF

So, you think corporate media is reporting the Truth? After learning that 5 to 6 corporations own nearly all media, whether print, cable, or online – you begin to realize the entire media machine is one orchestrated deception. The main point of this article is that supporting alternative media is crucial to our common future, where the truth is fully reported – albeit not perfectly, but reported nevertheless.

While corporate media has a virtual monopoly on advertising revenue by and large, at the end of the day, it is YOU the reader that supports corporate media. The choice to watch mainstream media in all its forms is yours. You can make a difference though, even if you support only one alternative media source, that’s enough to change the whole news and media paradigm.

The corporate and Zionist media understands that your time watching their media translates into enormous advertising revenue and they’ve created practically every kind of entertainment to keep you in ‘The Matrix’. The days of corporate media credibility are over.

The top 25 censored news from Project Censored are listed here (2010-2011) to give you a view of what you don’t hear about – important news. It’s important to realize that most of the censored stories from 2010 to 2012 were covered by theintelhub.com, including the globally censored meeting of the Bilderberg Group 2012.

There should be no doubt that the greatest enemy of the American People is corporate media – a machine constructed to control society. The power that mainstream media has is a result of an Agenda of Control, designed to control the individual awareness, thoughts and mind of every person on the planet – and your participation in that system sustains its existence.

9/11 should be remembered as ‘The Day the Media Died’. In fact, a conspiracy of silence and a criminal cover-up of 9/11 Truth, lasting over 10 years cannot be ignored. The 9/11 cover-up proves that a complete revolution in media is an idea whose time has come. Your support of Open Source Citizen Journalism will continue to change the world…

The Truth is – it might be our only hope.

These gigantic media corporations do not exist to objectively tell the truth to the American people.  Rather, the primary purpose of their existence is to make money. These gigantic media corporations are not going to do anything to threaten their relationships with their biggest advertisers (such as the largest pharmaceutical companies that literally spend billions on advertising), and one way or another these gigantic media corporations are always going to express the ideological viewpoints of their owners.
