Drone TV Propaganda Financed by Lockheed Martin

Print Friendly and PDF

PBS ombud Michael Getler (1/31/13) responded to FAIR activists who wrote to him about the recent Nova special on drones (1/23/13) that was underwritten by Lockheed Martin, a major military contractor and drone manufacturer.

FAIR (Action Alert, 1/28/13) pointed out that this connection violates PBS‘s guidelines concerning sponsorship and conflicts of interest.

Getler agreed, explaining that “the Lockheed funding does present a perception and commercial test problem for PBS. My feeling is that this particular program would have been much better off without Lockheed support.”

There was a further lack of disclosure. Getler noted that he

saw no mention of Lockheed when I watched the program online or when I looked at the Nova website. And there was never any mention of Lockheed in the body of the program, even though that huge defense company is heavily involved in drone development, which I didn’t know and I’m sure vast numbers of online viewers–unless they are in the Air Force or CIA–also probably did not know.

That lack of disclosure left Getler feeling “deceived by Nova“–though he noted that “Lockheed Martin was clearly identified on screen” as a funder in the broadcast version of the program.

Getler concluded by writing, “I think Nova handled this situation poorly and did not comply with the spirit, at least, of the guidelines when it came to being upfront with viewers.”

Nova thought otherwise. Its statement began:

WGBH fully adheres to PBS funding guidelines and takes our public trust responsibility very seriously. With regard to Nova “Rise of the Drones,” Lockheed Martin’s sponsorship of Nova is not a violation of the PBSunderwriting guidelines.

Nova’s defense is that Lockheed “had no editorial involvement in the program.” But as the PBS guidelines make abundantly clear, this is not a defense at all. The fact that a funder’s interests exist is a problem–not just whether the funder interfered in the editorial content of the program:

When there exists a clear and direct connection between the interests or products or services of a proposed funder and the subject matter of the program, the proposed funding will be deemed unacceptable regardless of the funder’s actual compliance with the editorial control provisions of this policy.

Since it is indisputable that Lockheed manufacturers drones, the guidelines as written say this is “unacceptable.” Since Nova does not believe the underwriting guidelines mean what they say mean, the real issue here is whether PBS itself believes in its rules. As FAIR has pointed out (Press Release, 4/3/02 ), PBS has historically found certain funding arrangements problematic–when the funder is a labor union, or a producer of a film about domestic violence is the leader of a battered women’s support group. Major corporate funders, though, get a pass.

Nova also argues that including a guest who has a business relationship to the funder “has no relevance to the story.” But basic journalistic ethics–for any medium, not just public television–tell you that such disclosures are important.

Nova seemed to prefer that viewers not know Lockheed’s connection to the subject of the program at all. The program’s response to the FAIR alert did mention that they “will include Lockheed Martin in the list of funders on the Nova website for full transparency.”

FAIR thanks the hundreds of activists who wrote to PBS, and to ombud Michael Getler for writing a thoughtful response.

The Black Hornet – Tiny Spy Drone that can follow Enemy Targets

Print Friendly and PDF

It fits easily into the palm of your hand and looks to the world like a child’s toy helicopter.

But this tiny, remote-controlled aircraft is, in fact, British forces’ latest weapon against the Taliban.

Codenamed Black Hornet, the eight-inch long plastic moulded drone has three cameras hidden inside its nose, yet weighs just 15 grams, or just over half an ounce.

Black Hornet, which has a smooth grey body and twin black rotors, stays airborne thanks to a small rechargeable battery.

Like a child’s toy helicopter: The tiny, remote-controlled aircraft codenamed Black Hornet is, in fact, British forces’ latest weapon against the Taliban

Soldiers can either pilot it directly or program it to fly to a given set of co-ordinates on the battlefield using GPS, then return to base after spying on enemy positions.

The Mail on Sunday was last week given an exclusive demonstration of Black Hornet in Camp Bastion by soldiers from the Brigade Reconnaissance Force (BRF).

The ‘recce’ soldiers, who operate the tiny drone from  a safe distance, and their commander, Major Adam Foden, explained how they had used Black Hornet with great success on recent missions into Taliban territory.

Small wonder: Staff Sergeant Kevin Hough, attached to the Brigade Reconnaissance Force in Helmand, demonstrates the ‘nanocopter’

Major Foden, 34, said: ‘Black Hornet is a game-changing piece of kit. Previously we would have sent soldiers forward to see if there were any enemy fighters hiding inside a set of buildings.

‘Now we are deploying Black Hornet to look inside compounds and to clear a route through enemy-held spaces.

‘It has worked very well and  the pictures it delivers back  to the monitor are really clear. And Black Hornet is so small  and quiet that the locals can’t  see or hear it.’

On most operations the Black Hornet ‘nanocopter’ is controlled by a soldier using a computer game-style joystick. As the  drone hovers near an enemy position, pictures are beamed back to a monitoring station. It delivers high-resolution still and moving images.

Pressing a button, a soldier can zoom silently on to a target and the hum from Black Hornet’s rotors is scarcely audible even from a distance of a few yards.

When Black Hornet is flown inside Taliban compounds it can barely be heard and is difficult to see against the grey mud walls of village compounds.

Enemy fighters, hiding among civilian populations in villages, would be unaware that the drone was watching them.

One BRF soldier said: ‘It’s a cool piece of kit. The pictures are amazingly clear and we can see who is a local civilian and who is a Taliban fighter and whether any weapons are being stored there. We can then make our plans accordingly. It saves a  lot of time and a lot of mistakes. It can zoom right up to somebody’s face and hold that frame for as long as is required without them even knowing it’s there. It makes it possible to identify a high-value target.’

SPECIFICATIONS

LENGTH: 8 inches

WEIGHT: 0.5 ounce

SPEED: 22mph

MAXIMUM FLIGHT: 30 minutes

While Black Hornet is a priceless tool in Afghanistan,  it is unlikely it could be used  on Britain’s streets because of civil liberty concerns.

Before soldiers are allowed to use Black Hornet they are required to go on a training course which teaches them not just the drone’s capabilities but also how it should be deployed.

The whole package, the helicopter, monitor and stick,  fit into a pocket-sized case.

The Black Hornet – properly called a Proxdynamics PD-100 Personal Reconnaissance System – is a joint UK-Norwegian venture and was passed fit for service in Afghanistan after extensive field trials in Cyprus last year.

American Drones for Covert Underwater Warfare against Iran

Print Friendly and PDF

Obscuring the devastating effects of U.S. drones killing innocent civilians around the world, it is with a touch of rather inappropriate humor and enthusiasm that the military consulting company Strike Fighter Consulting speaks highly of the U.S. Navy’s new Unmanned Underwater Vehicles in its recently published article, Unmanned Drones Take to the Seas:

“It looks like drone pilots are going to need swimming lessons.

The US Navy is currently experimenting with a new breed of drone submarines in the waters next to Newport, Rhode Island. Their hope is that these drones will take the first steps (or the first doggy paddle, if you will) into a future of autonomous submarines.

These drones, which are technically known as Unmanned Underwater Vehicles (of course) could be a “game changer” for the Navy, said Christoper Egan, a program manager at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center. Every single thing that makes aerial drones so effective can just as easily be applied to submarines. (Dabney B., Unmanned Drones Take to the Seas, Strike Fighter Consulting Inc, September 19, 2012, emphasis added.)

What kind of “efficiency” are we talking about here?

Drone warfare has been mostly “efficient” in killing innocent civilians, including children, according to a study by Stanford University and New York University:

According to the new study, just one in fifty victims of the CIA programme of “targeted” drone strikes in Pakistan’s tribal areas are(so-called) known militants, while between 2,562 and 3,325 people were killed in Pakistan between June 2004 and mid-September this year – of whom between 474 and 881 were civilians, including 176 children. (The News International (Pakistan), Pakistan. CIA Annihilation From The Air: Drone Warfare’s Invisible Dead, September 26, 2012)

We are told that these new “cost-efficient” underwater drones “could be used to map the ocean floor, detect enemy mines, gather surveillance, or assist in anti-submarine warfare [...] The Navy hopes that the Razor would be virtually undetectable by enemy systems.” (Dabney B., op. cit.)

Earlier this year Aviation Week published an article on Large Displacement Unmanned Underwater Vehicle (LDUUV) which confirms that the underwater drone technology is not well established. The new Large Displacement Unmanned Underwater Vehicle (LDUUV) is slated to be used no later than 2014:

The Large Displacement Unmanned Underwater Vehicle (LDUUV) will be large and highly autonomous, carrying out missions at long distances for months. It will act as a mothership, deploying and operating static and mobile sensors for persistent surveillance in coastal waters. Ultimately, it is likely to be armed. The program sounds ambitious, but much of the technology has already been proven.

[...]

The LDUUV will have a large payload bay, making it capable of releasing sensors, communication buoys, smaller UUS and weapons. The Navy’s current emphasis is on persistent surveillance “over the horizon.” However, its most significant impact could be in mine warfare, both offensive and defensive.

And the LDUUV could make offensive mine laying more controllable and clandestine. In the transformational mine concept, the LDUUV lays networked sensors across a wide area. These track and identify every vessel within range. Depending on the situation, any vessel can be engaged, by either an anchored weapon or a torpedo from the UUV itself.

[...]

The Navy plans to release a request for proposals for the LDUUV in 2014. Last October Rear Adm. Barry Bruner, the Navy’s undersea warfare director, indicated that up to 10 LDUUVs would be procured. The LDUUV is being pitched as a helper to complement manned submarines. However, if it achieves the technology goals for endurance and autonomy, it will pose serious questions of what exactly large unmanned craft could not ultimately do. (David Hambling, Large Displacement Unmanned Underwater Vehicle Steaming Ahead, Aviation Week, April 1, 2012, emphasis added. )

If this technology has been proven, it can be used for underwater warfare.

Will unmanned armed submarines be used for “clandestine mining” against Iran in the Persian Gulf?

Reports confirm, in this regard, that military exercises are currently (September 2012) being conducted near Iran’s territorial waters, and are “intended to simulate Iran’s response to a US-Israeli attack, namely what actions will be taken by allied forces in response to military retaliation by Iran”. (Michel Chossudovsky, “Warship Diplomacy”: A Prelude to All Out War against Iran?, Global Research, September 26, 2012.)

Underwater drones are part of the war games, Bloomberg reports:

“The BAE Systems Plc (BA/) 25mm guided ‘‘Mark 38 Mod 2,” and Kingfish unmanned underwater vehicle are among the programs the Pentagon this year accelerated under a “Fast Lane” initiative to counter Iranian naval weapons. One of the most serious threats, the Navy says, are Iranian speedboats that can employ “swarming” tactics.” (Bloomberg, September 19, 2012. emphasis added. )

A recent statement by the Director of Research of the Neocon think tank Washington Institute for Near East Policy has suggested that the US should provoke Iran into “firing the first shot”.

“We are in the game of using covert means against Iranians. We can get nastier at that [...] The United States—along with as many international partners as it can mobilize—should move to more forceful action, be it covert or overt, publicly proclaimed or deniable.” (Patrick Clawson, cited in Michel Chossudovsky, Neocon Washington Think Tank: The US should Provoke Iran into “Firing the First Shot”, September 26, 2012.)

Underwater drones seem to constitute the perfect weapon to be used in acts of provocation.

False Flag: DAWN magazine's Secularist Head Murtaza Rizvi killed in Karachi; CIA's Saleem Shehzad Episode 2?

Print Friendly and PDF

KARACHI: In what might turn out to be Saleem Shehzad episode 2 by the CIA to press ISI by discarding its used toilet papers, Murtaza Razvi, senior assistant editor (head of Dawn Magazines) and a staunch secular liberal-fascist, was murdered in the DHA area of Karachi during the early hours on Thursday. Police said that the body was found from an office flat in DHA. There are reports that the crime scene has been sealed by the police. According to a Dawn statement, the body bore torture marks and the hands were tied. It appeared that Razvi had been strangled to death, but police have said that the real cause of death will be established after the post-mortem.

The body was found by his wife and artist Shahid Rassam in the latter’s studio. Razvi’s body was shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for an autopsy. He was reported missing by his wife when he did not come home on Wednesday night. Razvi’s family has said that he did not have any personal enmities and have requested that the media not speculate till the police has apprehended the killer(s). Razvi is survived by his wife and three daughters. He was a staunch fifth columnist and a pseudo intellectual who served as as a resident editor for Dawn, Lahore from 2005 to 2007. Razvi held a master’s degrees in Ancient Indian and Islamic History from the University of Punjab, Lahore and Political Science & International Relations, not surprisingly, from the USZ.

With CIA and Blackwater running wild in Karachi under the umbrellas of MQM, ANP, PPP and JSQM, one can smell another anti-ISI conspiracy in the making. According to WikiLeaks report number 1644311, Saleem Shehzad, another anti-Pakistan Army and anti-ISI propaganda journalist was killed by CIA last year and its blame was put on ISI. The Indo-American media terrorists whined and moaned just like they are doing now and sooner or later they will tag this heinous crime to their ultimate and habitual target, the ISI. This might unfold as another Indo-American plot for pressurizing ISI and a lot of espionage journalists funded from abroad will try to whitewash their filth by shedding some crocodile tears in public over this matter to legitimize their pathetic birth as a human being.

15 easy steps to become a pseudo-intellectual

Print Friendly and PDF

Ever dreamed of becoming a pseudo-intellectual? Here I have made the procedure very easy for you. Just follow these steps and become a highly and internationally admired pseudo intellectual who is well reputed and internationally celebrated among the liberal-fascist sheeple.
  1. First of all, lose your self-respect and dignity. Believe that there is nothing like "dignity". The founders of English Language were mistaken by adding this word into the vocabulary. Else, you will not get the membership of the "Beghairat Brigade"
  2. Learn some bombastic and flowery english words to sound like a pseudo-intellectual. It will help you in attracting the dumb followers of hollywood which is going to be your main audience.
  3. Learn some abusive, offensive and derogatory words to attack your opponents.
  4. Learn effective compulsive lying. The filthier you can get, the thicker the payroll.
  5. Develop some phobias like Islamophobia, Pakistan phobia, Zia-ul-Haq Phobia, Zaid Hamid Phobia, ISI Phobia, Mujahideen Phobia etc.
  6. Become a secularist and liberal-fascist.
  7. Endorse White House point-of-view in every matter.
  8. Become a Human Rights Champion. Beware! Being a Human Rights champion doesn't mean that you start making a hue and cry over the Human Rights violation of terrorist states of America, India, Israhell and their allies, NO! NEVER! They all have "diplomatic immunity" in this regard. Only target Muslims!
  9. Learn concocted history from Wikipedia and consider Wiki as the final authority to all knowledge.
  10. Believe in the horrendous lie that Jinnah(r.a) was secular and misinterpret his 11th August, 1947 Speech. And beware! NEVER QUOTE HIS OTHER SPEECHES LIKE THIS ONE OR YOU WILL BECOME A TERRORIST MULLAH!
  11. Believe that Allama Iqbal(r.a) had no role what-so-ever in the creation of Pakistan because, quite conveniently, he died before the creation of Pakistan. And don't you dare quoting Quaid-e-Azam(r.a)'s speeches in which he called Iqbal as his mentor or you will be fired from Beghairat Brigade.
  12. Believe that  Ideology of Pakistan and Two-Nation Theory does not exist and Quaid-e-Azam(r.a) was a big liar and a terrorist when he said this.
  13. Become India's darling. Talk for having peace with India and become a fan of her democracy and economy where parliamentarians enjoy pornography during parliamentary sessions. Of course, watching porn is their right.
  14. Believe that all unislamic practices like alcohol, night parties, homosexuality etc should be allowed in Pakistan and try to twist Qur'an and Hadith to accommodate these practices in Islam somehow. If required, throw away the verses of Qur'an in dustbin which call homosexuality a sin. After all, your God is White House and New Delhi. Who is Allah?
  15. Join SAFMA. You must follow all the above written steps to fulfill the eligibility criteria for joining SAFMA. After joining SAFMA, you will be given your respective agenda on the merit of the qualities you have obtained by following the above mentioned steps. This agenda may include up to working for balkanization of Pakistan.
After following all the above mentioned steps, you will perfectly seem to be a case of congenital idiocy with zero wit level. Now you will be a useful idiot and the enemies of Pakistan can use you like a toilet paper, once their job is done, they will throw you into the flush of history where you will stand shoulder-to-shoulder with Mir Jaffar and Mir Sadiq and other brilliant personalities of your enlightened history.
P.S. These steps are easy only for those who are willing to sell their souls and country to the Anti-Christ forces in exchange of few peanuts from CIA/RAW/MOSSAD or any other entity which offers a mouth watering payroll because after all, you are going to become a hungry scolded dog for hire which will not care from where the money comes.

Pakistani media: Name of a Shame

    Print Friendly and PDF

The shameless behavior shown by the "Free" media of Pakistan has reached its climax with the influx of many foreign elements in the guise of "all-knowing" journalists. To our media, the obscenity and nudity of bollywood is of more importance than the 135 blessed souls and finest men of Pakistan who were frozen to martyrdom in the extreme weather of Siachin. The media's indifference in this matter was beyond treachery.

While on the other hand the third-class secessionist and nationalist leader of Sindh was given full coverage on his death who lead the political mafia which has always opposed Pakistan and demanded secession. How can we forget that this is the same party that has created No-go areas in interior Sindh spreading regional hatred. The media was literally sounding like "The respected leader of JSQM has tragically died". Giving this much coverage to traitors while ignoring the defenders who laid their life in service of the country is extreme treachery.

On the other hand media never reported that the militants of JSQM forcefully closed down the three major universities of Jamshoro, Liaqat University of Medical Health and Sciences (LUMHS), Sindh University and Mehran University of Engineering and Technology(MUET) and hence hindering the process of education in Interior Sindh's biggest education city and turning it into state-within-state. The students were harassed and would face death threats if they trespassed the limits set by the terrorists. Police as always played the role of silent spectator.

In the meanwhile, the Express Tribune's block-headed pseudo-intellectuals are busy in blathering and distorting the facts and producing articles that can be termed nothing more than rubbish. Personal attacks seems to be the hobby of these fools who are infected with the disease of scarcity of wit. The articles of Express Tribune are often full of fallacies and deception. We hear desperate cries from the liberal-fascists challenging Zaid Hamid for an open debate instead of going into the court. Its very evident that SAFMA's secular terrorists are fearful of going to court as many snakes or I would say Cobras would be undressed if Zaid Hamid's petition is heard.

Similarly, those journalists who were yesterday spitting the venom against Pakistan's armed forces by uttering blatant and baseless lies are today doing exclusive programs and writing articles to pay tribute to Pakistan Army. Is this because of the petition or they want to regain their credibility after being exposed on cyber world comprehensively? Whatever may be the reason, but the height of hypocrisy is very much evident in their erratic behavior.

Meanwhile, there are some journalists on electronic media who are doing their respective programs while drunk and their tongues are loose due to which they babble rubbish. When the patriots raise finger against them, they term them as 'Jihadies' due to their Islamophobia. Most of these news anchors are "mercenary journalists" who draw their salaries from the USZ state department. The hall of shame of Pakistani media includes many journalists who have their own hidden agenda and busy spreading their own concocted ideology.

You can easily find commoners who celebrate these lunatic journalists without having any insight of their concealed agenda. This reminds me of a so-called hero of Spanish history, El-Cid, who was in reality a mercenary soldier having a capable army. The Muslims and christians would heir him to get his support in the battle. Today the Spanish history is presented to Spaniards after so much distortion that El-Cid is celebrated as a legend. Same is the case with the journalists in Pakistan. Those who pay them more will get their support while the blind followers celebrate them as "Saviors" of "Freedom of Expression"

PEMRA issues Last Warning to Cable Operators regarding inflicting ban on anti-Pakistan TV Channels

    Print Friendly and PDF

Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) has served a last warning to all cable TV operators of country asking them to immediately stop distributing TV channels which are otherwise illegal or proscribed by the Authority. “No channel other than PEMRA licensee would be let distributed on cable TV networks and any operator found defying the orders henceforth would be dealt seriously”, said PEMRA in a statement issued here Sunday.

The action would pave way for PEMRA licensed channels on distribution networks which were hitherto being ignored as most of space is presently occupied by the unauthorized foreign channels thus leaving no space for licensed channels on distribution networks. PEMRA has issued a list of eligible channels containing 87 Pakistani origin channels and 26 foreign channels registered with the Authority. Cable operators have however, the liberty to choose channels amongst the eligible list while putting in front the subscriber’s choice but no channel other than the permissible list of PEMRA would be allowed. Besides, the cable operators are also bound to relay national broadcaster (PTV) channels which are mandatory under PEMRA law.

In this recent bid, PEMRA enforcement team had also raided head-ends of numbers of cable TV operators across the country and impounded gadgets being used for distributing illegal / proscribed channels. PEMRA resolved that such actions would continue till the sanity creep into the electronic media. “PEMRA believes in freedom of information and choice but it must be coupled with social responsibility, ethics and generally accepted standards of decency & morality. The freedom does not constitute unbridled freedom putting the repute of nation and institutions at stake”, stated the press release.

CIA scavengers shift drone operations to Afghan Bases - Detailed analysis

    Print Friendly and PDF

The USZ central Intelligence Agency (CIA) lunatics has diversified sources for drone operations on Pak-Afghan border after Pakistan’s growing anger and reluctance to allow use of its Shamsi Air Base for the purpose, sources said on Thursday. According to the sources, CIA which has been using Shamsi Air Base in Pakistan since 2004 had to develop other sources, largely based in Afghanistan, to carry out its drone operations targeting al-Qaeda and its affiliates, allegedly using sanctuaries in Fata region. Pakistan had asked USZ to vacate Shamsi Air Base shortly after the arrest of CIA man Raymond Davis, and since then CIA is primarily using Afghan soil to execute its drone operations, the sources said.

Sources further said that CIA is primarily using two airstrips – one on Jalalabad Air Base and the other on Bagaram Air Base in Afghanistan to carry out its drone operations. The same sources said the CIA was also using some facilities in UAE to operate drones. However, this could not be confirmed form other sources. When contacted, the USZ Embassy Spokesperson Courtney Beale said she cannot comment on the security related issues and advised this scribe to approach USZ State Department in this regard. The CIA has been targeting terrorist’s hideouts in Pakistan’s tribal areas on Pak-Afghan border despite the opposition from Islamabad. Although USZ has been claiming success in butchering Pakistani women and children to raise an anti-Army sentiment in the region for achieving its malicious goals of making Army and civilians confront each other, in the name of "attacking high profile targets in drone attacks", which many believed were mere tactical successes, the drone hits have caused extensive collateral damage. Defence analysts believe that the USZ operated drones have not only belittled counter terrorism efforts of Pakistan but also generated anti-USZ sentiments among the tribesmen.

Pakistan’s military leadership lodged its strongest-ever protest with USZ when a CIA operated drone recently hit a peace congregation in North Waziristan killing many tribal elders and Pakistani security personnel. Similarly, another recent drone attack in South Waziristan earned a strong criticism in which a pharmacy shop was hit and many innocent people were killed. There have been nearly 300 drone attacks in Fata region since 2004 in which hundreds of civilians have been killed and thousands others injured. The aims of USZ assassins are very clear:
    1. Kill as many women and children in the tribal area as possible and simultaneously facilitate anti-Army sentiments through the Zionist media outlets in the name of "Army should stop these attacks" when at the same time Army is engaged in 4 war fronts besides Pakistan's stooge president Asif Ali Zardari is the supreme commander of the Armed forces.
    2. Take the hatred against Army to such a level in these particular areas that Pakistan Army and tribals start fighting amongst each other so that American lunatics can take advantage of the situation and facilitate a civil war inside Pakistan, then declare Pakistan's nuclear weapons "unsafe" through the Zionist media outlets to justify a "humanitarian invasion". It should be kept in mind that hypocrisy never knew such high grounds ever before in the entire human history as America's own nuclear weapons have been repeatedly going missing. Last year above 50 USZ Air Force Nukes went missing and remained missing for a week. And now the latest nuclear meltdowns in Nebraska and other dozens of other nuke plants in USZ, and still the humanitarian hyenas have the odasity to call other countries' nukes as "unsafe" and what's more crazy above all is that sheeple buy into this hot garbage.

Express Tribune promoting Indian Conspiracies against Pakistan Armed Forces

    Print Friendly and PDF

Read on Pakistan Cyber Force Facebook Page

The 5th Columnist Express Tribune is constantly carrying the dirty propaganda to malign the Armed forces of Pakistan. For that, they are going to such a shameless extent that they are happily proving their press to be dumb and deficient in intellect. Recently the traitor Express Tribune has posted an article discussing an absurd video that simply deteriorates our Armed Forces since the source of the Video is so impotent and quite hilarious in itself. The Video up-loader is a hard core Indian named, brahaspati19; aiming at spreading  nonsensical videos against Pakistan. It's shameful how Express Tribune is crossing every limit that they have also over looked whether the evidence is valid or not.

Besides when was the last time Express Tribune posted any good piece patronizing the Pak Army or giving tribute to our Armed forces for their valour and bravery? When was the last time ET discussed the efforts of our Pak Army fighting against the TTP terrorist proxies in Swat and laying their precious lives only to provide us with security? When was the last time ET praised Kargil, Siachen, Operation Buner, Operation Raah-e-Nijat, Operation Raah-e-Rast, Operation Labbaik?! I'm not able to recall it even in distant past!

Saleem Shehzad's colleagues maligning ISI: Who is the beneficiary? - Detailed Analysis

    Print Friendly and PDF

Most of Mr. Saleem Shehzad's colleagues have been targeting ISI which forces every patriot, who has links in the armed forces, rethink who was Saleem Shehzad and who was he serving? Ever since day 1, Mr. Saleem Shehzad's colleague at Asia Dispatch website Ms. Carol Anne Grayson has continued her rhetoric of "blame the ISI whether you have proofs or not", quoting articles from the Zionist propaganda machines like Express Tribune, BBC, The Daily Telegraph, The Guardian, New York Times, The Hindustan Times, Geo TV News Updates and several other 5th column anti-Pakistan media outlets. Solid evidence at-hand clearly shows that Mr. Saleem Shehzad and his international colleagues were involved in high level espionage and yellow journalism against the state of Pakistan, (See Facebook version). However, as some groups and governments use Syed Saleem Shahzad’s death to jack up pressure on the ISI, murder of prominent journalist has left a genuine question: who killed him and why? Statements coming from overseas and from Shahzad’s close friends blame Pakistani intelligence agency but some people have a second opinion: a third hand played the trick to pressurize the ISI and Pakistani government.

Syed Saleem Shehzad (left) & Carol Anne Grayson (right)
Saleem Shahzad’s links were well known to the world and he used to confide in his international friends whatever pressure he faced but it never included a direct threat to life, officials familiar with the issue said, speaking on the condition of anonymity. Those who knew Saleem Shahzad say he began a hide and seek game with the security agencies more than a decade earlier when a scandal on Agosta submarine deal and death of French engineers in Karachi surfaced. Shahzad, then living in Karachi, was arrested on allegations that he was handing over a secret Agosta file to undercover French agent Mr. Philips. He moved to Islamabad after being set free. Saleem Shahazad often visited USZ embassy in Islamabad and maintained regular contacts with banned CIA war proxy of Tehrik-e- Taliban Pakistan (TTP). Friends say his profession required these two way links as he filed reports on Taliban.

However, security officials believe Shahzad would not hesitate to translate his wishes into news story - a fact evident in his articles declaring Ilyas Kashmiri as next Al-CIA-Da leader. And ironically enough, just a short while afterwards, Ilyas Kashmiri was "killed" in USZ drone strike showing to the world that butchering women and children with chemical bombs is indeed "fruitful". Shahzad maintained that his close contacts with Kashmiri had enabled him to file inside report. Some sources claim Kashmiri had influenced him into writing some pieces, which proved beyond the facts and annoyed TTP. TTP had conveyed their displeasure to Shahzad, they said. “The ISI is concerned on the assassination of Shahazad and would not leave any stone unturned to find the culprits”, a responsible source in the intelligence agency said.

The source strongly condemned the reports that Shahzad was threatened by the ISI. He was invited to the ISI headquarters for discussion and offered a correct version of information as some of his reporting on Pakistan was not consistent with the facts, the source said. Asked Whether Shahzad was threatened by the ISI’s media wing, the source said agency’s department on media was limited to providing information. “And you don’t invite somebody to your home only to threaten him”, it reacted. Other sources say although ISI never threatened Saleem Shahzad, it did try to persuade the journalist on some issues and he discussed it in a meeting with his local and international friends, hardening impression that Shahzad and ISI were at odds. The belief, they claim, appeared advantageous to anti-Pakistani groups, who planned and killed Shahzad to intensify pressure on the ISI.

Even before the murder Pakistani intelligence faced heavy criticism both from outside and inside the country and under prevailing circumstance it could not commit such a huge mistake of killing someone with international standing , a source in the national security apparatus told journalists. It said Saleem Shahzad’s murder and the way body was dumped showed that “third hand” was involved. It is not hard to guess who the third hand is, but thorough investigation is necessary before naming anyone, the source added. A very close friend of Saleem Shahzad said his murder was just a tragedy. He would not speak more. Shahzad’s wife was contacted through a friend of her husband. She said Shahzad left home on the evening of May 29 and never returned although an anonymous phone caller did say he would, by the next evening. The widow said she did not know who kidnapped Shahzad.
