Husain Haqqani is working side by side with Najam Sethi.

Pakistan's COAS General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani

ISLAMABAD: A senior military source has categorically dispelled the impression that the judiciary is the target of the army chief Gen Ashfaq Pervez Kayani’s statement on Monday.

“The army chief instead supported the judiciary by emphasizing on the rule of law and talking of the due process of law,” the source said but admitted that the army chief’s statement contains message for certain elements in the media who are deliberately propagating baseless conspiracy theories and crossing the limits to malign the institution of army.

The military source, whose relevance to this issue makes him important to be heard by this correspondent, said that while speaking to a group of army officers at the GHQ, the army chief firstly wanted to convey it to all the military men that their individual wrongs could not be shared by the institution and that if anyone did any wrong, he would have to face the music.

Secondly, the source said the media had been conveyed that any irresponsible and malicious commentary on the institution of defence forces could lead to harming the defence institutions.

Endorsing what the source claimed, owners of certain media houses have been indirectly conveyed through a civilian person that the army chief’s message is meant for the media as some of the media people have been stretching out the individual cases of alleged corruption of a few retired generals and have crossed the limits to malign the institution of Army in the recent days and weeks.

Presenting baseless conspiracy theories against the army and hitting the institution on the basis of alleged wrongs of some individual and without realizing that how such actions could damage the defence institutions, are said to be the reasons for the army chief’s unusual statement.

Former DG ISI Lt Gen (retd) Hamid Gul sees the Army chief’s message as a warning shot after the institution has been unnecessarily dragged in certain cases of retired army officers. “Armed forces draw their strength from the bedrock of the public support. National security is meaningless without it. Therefore, any effort which wittingly or unwittingly draws a wedge between the people and armed forces of Pakistan undermines the larger national interest. While constructive criticism is well understood, conspiracy theories based on rumours which create doubts about the very intent, are unacceptable”, the Army chief said in a clear reference to what certain elements in the media have been propagating in the recent days and weeks.

Although, the Article 19 of the Constitution ensures that every citizen has the right to freedom of speech and expression, this freedom is subject to restrictions in relation to the interest of the glory of Islam or the integrity, security or defence of Pakistan or any part thereof, friendly relations with foreign states, public order, decency or morality, or in relation to contempt of court, [commission of] or incitement to an offence.

Similarly the Article 63(1) of the Constitution disqualified a person from being elected or chosen as, and from being, a member of the Majlis-e-Shoora (Parliament), if he has been convicted by a court of competent jurisdiction for propagating any opinion, or acting in any manner, prejudicial to the ideology of Pakistan, or the sovereignty, integrity or security of Pakistan, or the integrity, or independence of the judiciary of Pakistan, or which defames or brings into ridicule the judiciary or the Armed Forces of Pakistan, unless a period of five years has lapsed since his release.

Why I don't read the 'Express Tribune' anymore?

For those who are familiar with this newspaper, it doesn't come to much of a surprise that the editorial board of the Express Tribune has very strong biases that influence not only its opinion pieces, but also its allegedly "neutral" news department. This is self-evident when it comes to almost anything they cover on Pakistan, whether it be political, economic or social. More noticeable is the bias of the Express Tribune on foreign policy coverage, which seems to be influenced by ignoramuses in Washington, whose interaction with the world is limited by language, culture, experience and basic intellect.

Don't you find it comical how the Express Tribune fights for "freedom of speech" yet moderates its own comments section? Now to be fair, every newspaper has a moderator to deny comments which are vile and abusive. But this is clearly not the case at the Express Tribune. Over a span of a year, I've noticed (like many others) that the moderators will only approve comments which they agree with or fit the narrative of the column/article in question. On many occasions I've attempted to voice my opinion on certain controversial subject matters on the Express Tribune, but to my surprise my comments were almost never posted. NO, I did not use profanity or insulting language. The only crime I did was I did not agree with them. But what's interesting is not who they restrict from posting, but who they allow to post so freely. Indians (who commonly disguise themselves as Muslim Indians or Pakistanis) have a free hand to abuse, ridicule and insult Pakistan and Pakistanis left, right and center on almost all Express Tribune articles. It should beg the question, what in the world is the Express Tribune?

Now before I go on any further, I'd like to point out a few things. NO, I'm not an extremist. NO, I am not a blind nationalist. And NO I'm certainly not against freedom of speech, but what I am against is unethical journalism practices, which are ever so evident in the Pakistani media spectrum. The Express Tribune and Jang (including the notorious Geo TV) are at the forefront of unethical journalistic practices and the spreading of misinformation into the minds of Pakistanis. So what exactly is the Express Tribune you ask? Well it's a paper which identifies itself with centre-left liberalism (I'll explain later how funny this really is). It's also the first newspaper in Pakistan to forge a partnership with The International Herald Tribune, the global edition of The New York Times (I hope you're slowly starting to realize what I'm trying to get at). 

Let's look at a few examples shall we?

Balochistan - for those of whom come from this province, all I can say is as a Pakistani I am ashamed at how our government has treated you people. It's such a shame that a land full of natural resources is at the bottom of all development indicators in Pakistan. The situation in Balochistan needs serious attention, and I hope with the next government serious action is taken to see that this province gets back on it's feet and joins the rest of Pakistan on the road to prosperity and peace. However, people need to realize something very important. If a group of people are against the government that in no way, shape or form means they want separate from Pakistan. I find it hilarious how so many journalists in the media write and talk about Balochistan without ever stepping foot in the province. These people sit in coffee shops in Karachi with there laptops trying to show off how "cool" they are while they write articles about the sufferings of the Baloch people at the hands of the so-called "evil ISI". I want to ask these people, when was the last time you ever went to Balochistan? When was the last time you talked to a Baloch? I know several Balochs myself, who are extremely against the Pakistan government, but have no desire to leave Pakistan. The Express Tribune (like much of the media) are attempting to portray the happenings of a revolt a la 1971 East Pakistan conveniently overlooking the near complete absence of evidence of this being true. Facebook and Twitter messages from a handful of self-declared, English speaking "Baloch activists" (many of them who don't even know Balochi and sit abroad) became the barometer for the emotions of 7 million Baloch. 

This is a huge misconception that the Baloch are against Pakistan...no they are not. They are amongst the most patriotic people in Pakistan, and just want to be treated like human beings. The majority of the Baloch people are anti-BLA and fighting for is more provincial autonomy, and rightfully so! The Federal government in Islamabad controls the provinces way too much, and it's high time the Feds let go of some powers and give it back to the provinces. If any province has been hurt the most by this, it's been Balochistan who have literally been robbed of all there resources! This is something the Express Tribune never wants to mention. Instead, they go on orgies and rampages about a small group of thugs called the BLA (Balochistan Liberation Army) who have caused mayhem in certain parts of the province with looting, exhortation, kidnapping and murders. This so-called "liberation army" are essentially a small group of thugs and maggots who work for big powerful Sardars, to keep the Baloch people suppressed, controlled and in fear. That's something the Express Tribune never wants to mention and probably never will,  but for your sake you should visit https://www.facebook.com/ExposingBLAterrorism for more information on what's really happening in Balochistan.

Ignoring Waziristan - so I said to myself, if the Express Tribune cares that much about "human rights" why are they almost never talking about Waziristan? Maybe it has something to do with who controls the Express Tribune and what country is conducting the terrorist drone strikes in that region. In the past week, reports have surfaced that American terrorist drone attacks have killed upto 1000 innocent people in South Waziristan, with a quarter of them being children! This is something many readers (myself included) have attempted to highlight at ET, yet to no avail. It wasn't until American activists began ringing the bell that something nasty indeed was occurring in Waziristan, did the Pakistani media accept that innocent people were being killed. Here's an example of the hypocrisy. Here are 2 titles that are commonly found - "DRONE KILLS THREE MILITANTS" and "DRONE KILLS THREE". Notice in the first title they highlight "militants" were killed (in reality these are always suspected militants). Now notice when civilians are killed, they only mention "THREE" and not "THREE PEOPLE" or "THREE CIVILIANS". I'd like to ask the Express Tribune a very simple question. What makes you so sure that militants are in fact being killed? Secondly why do you attempt to hide the fact civillians have been killed by only mentioning the number of dead in your articles? These are small but important questions which should be raised.

And this is just scratching the surface, I could literally write a book on the practices of this newspaper such as the pushing for LGBT rights, ridiculing Pakistan, and how quiet they are about the corruption ring of the Zardari mafia. But I won't do that; I'll let you see it for yourself. 

Conclusion
So after this long rant, you're probably asking, what's the point? The point is, don't trust anything the media says, especially the Pakistani media. To them, they have only 2 obligations.

1. MAKE PROFIT - To earn a profit, people must click onto there website, watch there channels or buy there newspapers and they will do this by capturing your mind in any way possible, no matter how ridiculous or full of crap the story might be. 

2. FOLLOW THE BOSS - In the case of the Express Tribune there bosses sit in Washington and dictate to them which events should be given importance and which should not be - and how they should be presented to the public (case in point Balochistan and Waziristan). 

The media is so full of garbage that it's gone beyond presenting just the news; they MAKE the news nowadays! Don't be dictated too by the news media, set your mind free and use the brain that God has given you. Make your OWN decisions! Make your OWN judgments! Stop allowing scum like Hamid Mir and Najam Sethi to pollute your minds with Pentagon fantasies.

So where should we get our information from you're probably asking? Well, do as we did in the old days. Go and see for yourself. We have become such a lazy race of people that we won't bother even investigating ourself whether or not what the media is telling us is true or not. However, if you can't do that, then it's up to you to have an open mind and not be dictated to by one medium. It's up to you to find out as much as you can about any particular event be it through the newspapers, blogs, Facebook, Wikipedia whatever! You should be well-rounded and take into consideration all sides of the argument before you make a judgment about a particular event.

Stop letting the media fool you and pollute your minds with lies and wake up!

It is not enough to dismiss Sept 21 as an expression of hate. The event underlined a dangerous level of government incompetence. Many analysts in Pakistan are mistaking the violence we saw on Sept 21 as hate. It would be more accurate to see it as an indictment of an incompetent government and a failed political culture.

The worse violence occurred in areas heavily dominated by political parties. At the same time, many protests organised by religious and other parties were peaceful. Seeing the violence in purely a religious context would be wrong, an oversight that many analysts are making. The elected government of President Asif Zardari bears direct responsibility for the violence we saw on the government-sponsored ‘Ishq-e-Rasool Day’.

In a country facing security challenges and where political violence goes unchecked, who in his right mind would play with fire by designating a special day for protest? No other Arab or Muslim country did it. The Zardari government should be sued for millions of dollars lost by Pakistani citizens because of government incompetence.

More worrisome is political opportunism. There is a strong suspicion that the Zardari government exploited religion to offset the impact of its lost cases at the Supreme Court. For example, the blanket ban on YouTube – and not just the objectionable links – was an overblown step that came a day before an expected dismissal of Prime Minster Pervaiz Ashraf by the Supreme Court.

The national holiday asking people to come out on the streets was apparently part of a government strategy to create sympathy on the eve of a Supreme Court decision to disqualify key presidential aides, including interior minister Rehman Malik. It is telling that both the prime minister and interior minister pushed the idea of a day-off for protests against cabinet opposition.

It is becoming increasingly clear that the Sept 21 debacle was more than just a government idea gone bad. Shouldn’t such a government be made accountable for the mess it created? Shouldn’t the interior minister be questioned for his lack of judgment on the consequences of designating a day off for protest on an inflammatory issue in a country already suffering from political violence?

The violence on Sept 21 is not dissimilar to violence committed by political parties on different occasions. The organised raids on banks in Karachi had little to do with anti-film rallies and more to do with a culture of violence fostered by political parties over a period of time.

This culture has led to the creation of secret militant wings in most parties, and to raising a cadre of ‘party workers’ trained for agitation and street violence. Sadly, even a relatively clean party like the PTI succumbed to street violence thanks to the recent recruitment of ‘party workers’ with prior professional experience.

It is not enough to dismiss Sept 21 as an expression of hate. The event underlined a dangerous level of government incompetence. It also highlighted a culture of street violence common to all political parties, religious and nonreligious.

Instead of turning this into a question of extremism, the Zardari government should be made answerable to serious questions about governance. It is also a good opportunity to put the violent Pakistani political culture on trial.

The mainstream English print media of Pakistan is highly infested by acquisitive witless people who lost their mind in their infancy but were hired by these media giants only to fulfill their concealed vested interests as an empty mind is devil's workshop. Most of these blockheads are a part of a shady organization which raises hallow slogans of "Freedom of Expression" for everyone but as a matter of fact they restrict the freedom merely to their own point-of-view. This group of dolts is commonly known as "Beghairat Brigade" (literal translation is undignified brigade) who by all means are practical soldiers of the Anti-Christ and aim at destroying the very country that they live in.

To figure out whether the writing pieces of a particular journalist is agenda-driven or not, one should study at least last twenty articles of that particular person and if there is a regular uniformity in most of the articles as far as the topic is concerned, then the journalist is surely backed up by an agenda and meticulous examination of the crap piece of writings of these numskulls makes this undeniable fact very obvious. These journalists filled with Western propaganda poop oozing out from their trash talk and deliberately scrambled history knowledge appear to be excessively honest to their payrolls as comprehended from their exceedingly venomous propaganda against the roots of Pakistan.

The calumniation of all these rogue nincompoops about the respected personalities of Jinnah(r.a), Iqbal (r.a), Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan and of the like is a hefty act of shame. These honorable personalities are venerated throughout the country for their colossal services, but these handful of self-appointed champions of Freedom of Speech degrade them by enunciating mere folly. Fact distortion is favorite occupation of these journalists. This was perspicaciously witnessed during the recent Faryal Shah case when these scoundrels propagated baseless lies about the matter and claimed that the girl was converted to Islam by force. It was only after the verdict of Supreme Court and the poor girl's own statement when their horrendous deceit was undressed. Subsequently, these congenital retards started ruthless abusing and personally attacking all those who questioned their former lies. The language that they used is a discernible manifestation of the state of mind of these morons who can cross all extents of filth.

The process by which these pseudo-intellectuals reach the height of insanity includes deterioration of their character and self-esteem. Their abomination towards Islam is quite conspicuous. These personalities can cross all limits of filth which can be readily assimilated from the fact that all these scoundrels advocate Homosexuality and all the shameless anti-Islamic activities considering it the right of every citizen, and of course, Qur'an means nothing more than a joke and liability for them. The audacity of expressing their utter baloney is supported by the fact that there is no solid rule and regulation in our country that can censor non-sense and fabricated lies from being propagated by these hireling journalists.

The recent report of Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists(PFUJ) states that the principle reason for tabloidization of media in Pakistan is simple, even if dismaying: the average age of a journalist has fallen from a mature 47 in 2002 to an impulsive 23 in 2012. This is too young an age to have a grasp of issues, to develop an appropriate articulation of concepts and to offer clarity of vision and insight when reporting about cataclysmic dynamics such as terrorism, extremism, intolerance and the hypnotic unraveling of a state fueled by a variety of conflicts. The youth is also a vulnerable target for the global propagandists who provoke them to fulfill their agenda.

Will the concerned authorities wake up from their slumber to stop this infernal attitude of the mainstream electronic and print media? It still remains an unanswered query. But this is now a fact that all these handful of Western propaganda poop resellers are part of a sand sucking criminal & rejected minority of our society who enjoy the royalty of writing for mainstream newspapers despite being criticized overwhelmingly by the readers and that is enough to make them burn in their own hatred and prejudice. The time is not far when Pakistanis will decide their fate on the streets if the currently hibernating Pakistani judiciary doesn't take notice of this matter soon enough.

SC allows New Muslimah Converts to go with husbands; Secular Liberal Fascists hurl abuses

ISLAMABAD: The three former Hindu women who willingly converted to Islam have decided to live with their Muslim husbands, according to reports. Earlier, the Supreme Court had allowed Faryal (former Rinkle Kumari), Haleema (former Asha Kumari) and Dr. Hafsa (former Dr. Lata) to decide their own fate and let the court know where they wanted to live. During the proceedings, the bench also directed the police to provide adequate security to the women. The Supreme Court on Wednesday directed police to take the three former Hindu girls who recently embraced Islam to the homes of their choice and provide them full security. A three-member bench, comprising Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, Justice Khilji Arif Hussain and Justice Tariq Parvez, ordered this while hearing a petition, coupled with civil applications, filed by the Pakistan Hindu Council. The police produced the girls before the court.

After hearing the counsel for the petitioners and the respondents in the case, the court held that the girls were sui juris and were fully in a position to decide their future. Comdr Shaukat, Sain Rakhio Mirani and Dr Ameer Sheikh, DIGs, Karachi (South), Larkana and Sukkur, along with other police officials, appeared before the court on notice. The court directed the DIGs Karachi (South) and Sukkur to take the three women into safe custody to wherever they wanted to stay. The court further directed both the DIGs to provide protection to the women under Article 9 of the Constitution as it was the duty of the state to provide them protection. The court, in its short order, said that Haleema bibi, formerly named as Aasha, belonged to District Jacobabad and was also a sui juris and couldn't be compelled to live or be with someone against her wishes.

The court directed Sain Rakhio Mirani, DIG Larkana, to take Haleema bibi into safe custody to the place of her choice because District Jacobabad also falls within the Larkana Range. The court ordered him to provide her protection. The court noted that the matter to the extent of the women stood disposed but the main case was adjourned to a date to be fixed after two weeks for filing a reply by the petitioner. The court also directed that police officers take the women to the Registrar's Office and in his presence, record where they wanted to live and subsequently take them there. The court further directed the police officers to submit their reports about the places where the women wanted to go to the Registrar by Thursday (today). The court also directed the police officers that after Thursday, they will be required to continue submitting fortnightly reports on the matter. At the last hearing, held on March 26, 2012, Faryal Shah (former Rinkle Kumari) and Dr. Hafsa (former Dr. Lata) were produced before the court.

The court had allowed both the women to stay in the Panah Shelter Home, Karachi, being maintained by Majida Rizvi, former judge of the Sindh High Court, with a view to providing them with a pressure-free atmosphere where they could decide their future action. On an interesting note, the Indian funded NGO's and RAW's media arm in Pakistan called SAFMA couldn't digest this fair decision and unloaded sheer abuses at all Pakistanis on their twitter accounts indiscriminately. With tweets eligible to be charged with contempt of court, the secularists and liberal fascists came down hard on Pakistan and Islam and rubbished the freedom of the three freely converted new Muslims, condemning their decision and calling it a violation of human rights along with hurling abuses at Chief Justice of Pakistan and Pakistan's Judiciary, Army and 99% of Pakistani population which are Muslims. The petition filed in Supreme Court of Pakistan (SCP) by the President of Brass Tack (BT) Mr. Zaid Zaman Hamid; The renowned Defense analyst and Geo Political expert, against the South Asia Free Media Information (SAFMA) would become a bigger scandal than MemoGate.

The views had been expressed by Mr. Ahmad Raza Kasuri in an interview with a newspaper. He said that SAFMA remains in touch with affairs of all countries of South Asian countries, but it only speaks against Pakistan and its armed forces (particularly Pakistan Army), which increases concerns among the patriotic people of Pakistan about its affiliations.

Ahmad Raza Kasuri said that SAFMA initiated a fourth Generation war 4GW against Pakistan and that SAFMA had been financed heavily for this war against Pakistan and its armed forces from outside the country.

Mr. Ahmad Raza Kasuri is a senior lawyer in Supreme Court of Pakistan and is well known and well respected personality in Pakistan. Mr. Ahmad Raza Kasuri is representing Mr. Zaid Zaman Hamid's petition, filed in Supreme Court of Pakistan on March 27, 2012.

The petition demands guilty of treason against SAFMA and its organisers in Pakistan for conspiring against Pakistan's armed forces and working against Pakistan's geographical as well as ideological boundaries.

The organisers and persons connected directly and indirectly with SAFMA include high profile journalists, well known anchorpersons of leading TV channels and other pseudo-intellectuals. As named in the petition, these include Imtiaz Alam, Sirmed Manzoor, Najam Sethi, Beena Sarvar, Nusrat Javeed, Khaled Ahmed, Marvi Sirmed (Wife of Sirmed Manoor), Ali Chisti, Hamid Mir, Hassan Nisar and Asma Jahangir.

In the interview, Mr. Ahmad Raza Kasuri said that SAFMA keep eyes on affairs of all SAARC countries but speaks only against Pakistan’s armed forces. He questioned why SAFMA does not speak on India and its army which has committed hundreds of crimes against Humanity.

It would be worth to mention here that India has stationed more than 7,00,000 army in such a small valley of Kashmir, which has killed more than 2,00,000 innocent Kashmiris so far, since the occupation in 1947. These are in addition to those 5,00,000 Muslims from Jammu, who were brutally massacred by Indian terrorists organisation, RSS in 1947. Similarly, the rest of the Indian army is deployed in all over India to curb many influential and strong independence movements, going on in all over India.

When he was asked that whether he is optimistic for the approval of the petition, filed by Mr. Zaid Zaman Hamid in SCP, for hearing in SC? Mr. Ahmad Raza Kasuri said that it is evident as, because of this, our national security is on stake and the SAFMA-Gate scandal is going to be a bigger and more controversial case of the history of Supreme Court of Pakistan, than MemoGate scandal.MemoGate scandal arisen when the then-serving ambassador of Pakistan to the United States of America, Mr. Hussain Haqqani, was exposed to be writing a memo the US government on behalf of the President of Pakistan, Mr. Asif Ali Zardari, against Pakistan’s armed forces.

Ahmad Raza Kasuri said that these people are receiving heavy funds from outside of the country for conspiring against Pakistan and its armed forces, which, actually, is the remuneration of these people.

Mr. Ahmad Raza Kasuri said that he is a loyal and patriotic Pakistani and he always decided to step-up against such crooks, who plays with the sovereignty of the country.

He said that the enemies of Pakistan have initiated a fourth generation war against Pakistan and we have to stop it at all cost.

Mr. Ahmad Raza Kasuri further said that Pakistan is also facing threat from India’s Cold Start doctrine. He said that we have to pledge to stay on front against such doctrines.
It is worth-mentioning here that the mainstream media is blacking out any news related to this petition and that is why many people are unaware of it, it is because of the fact that many mainstream media journalists are linked to SAFMA in one way or the other.
