Seven heavily armed militants allegedly belonging to the alliance of USZ, NATO and India across the border in Afghanistan, stormed the Pakistan Air Force’s (PAF) Minhas airbase at Kamra during the early hours of Thursday, sparking an intense gun battle lasting almost five hours. The militants were said to be armed with automatic weapons, grenades and suicide vests. Intense exchange of fire between militants and security forces ensued after the attackers infiltrated the base located in Attock, Punjab. PAF officials confirmed that all seven attackers had been killed. One Pakistani soldier also lost his life in the attack, confirmed officials.

The attackers were planning huge loss to National assets entrusted to Pakistan Air Force. But Air Force was awake to the threat and thwarted it with professional brilliance and unmatched bravery. PAF in collaboration with police and army successfully turned the tables and all the terrorist were killed one by one by the security personnel.

Air Commodore Azam Khan

The coward terrorists tried to attack in the wee hours of the scared night of 27th Ramadan (Shab-e-Qadar). The security arrangement consisting of four tiers were not only able to successfully stop the cowards on the 2nd tier but also killed them there and then. The base was already on high alert state and the base authorities had made ample security arrangement to repulse such an attack. Only 01 soldier Mr Asif was martyred and the Base Commander Air Commodore Azam Khan, who led the operation from the front, sustained bullet injuries. With the help of Allah, only 01 aircraft has been slightly damaged, while all the terrorists have been killed along with their vicious designs.

The best leaders lead from the front. They don’t delegate, abdicate or relegate the heavy lifting to “subordinates.” They dive headfirst into the hard work. This is true of the best military leaders throughout history. This is exactly what Air Commodore Azam Khan, Base Commander PAF Base Kamra did. He was not only awake to the threat but also he led it from forefront and in doing so, got hit by a bullet but ensured the safety and security of the precious assets of the nation.

Wing Commander Akhtar

Once again the terrorist have attacked one of the PAF bases, but the bold and daring response of the base authorities, notably the Base Commander Air Commodore Azam Khan has repulsed it within hours. All the terrorist have been killed with one causality and senior most officer being injured. Remember! It was Shab e Qadar, the sacred night in which the brave soldiers have not only defied the heavy odds but annihilated the very attackers. It was impossible to be defeated by few terrorist on this night, when Allah Almighty’s help is with soldiers. It is very encouraging to see such a brisk, bold and perfect response from PAF. Indeed, a job very well done. Shabash Pakistan Air force.

Group Captain Amir Bashir

Pakistan when united like this can repulse any attack from any arrogant and desperate superpower. This was an excellently executed, coordinated action by security forces of Pakistan led by Minhas Base security forces. The DSG man killed three terrorists but was then shot and embraced Shahadat. The attackers were planning huge loss to National assets entrusted to Pakistan Air Force. But Air Force was awake to the threat and thwarted it with brilliance and bravery. PAF in collaboration with police and army have successfully turned the table to the terrorist and all the terrorist have been killed one by one by the security personnel.

The armed forces have yet again risen to the occasion and gave a befitting reply to the enemies of Islam and Pakistan. Loius Kossuth once said, ‘’it is surmounting difficulties that make heroes’’ Shabash Pakistan, Shabash Pakistan Armed Forces!
