QUETTA - The Supreme Court on Tuesday cancelled the bail of Shahzain Bugti and his 26 guards in an illegal arms case. Provincial President Jamhoori Watan Party (JWP) Shahzain Bugti has been facing a case of keeping illegal weapons and was on bail from the Balochistan High Court (BHC). A larger bench of the apex court headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry heard a case at the Supreme Court’s Quetta registry against Shahzain Bugti. After hearing the arguments, the court cancelled Shahzain and his 26 guards’ bail. Frontier Constabulary had arrested Shahzain Bugti after a huge quantity of arms and ammunitions was recovered from one of his convoy’s car. The seized arms include 43 unlicensed Kalashnikovs, six RPGs, two rocket launchers, 70,000 rounds, two RR Guns and several IEDs.
