PNS BABUR, while maintaining a close liaison with CTF-151, tactically confined the pirates who failed to enter the enclosed citadel boundary of the merchant ship. Due to prompt action of Pakistan Navy and CTF-151, the pirates aborted the operation and fled away. Presently the vessel is safe and under control of crew onboard. Cognizant of its responsibilities, Pakistan Navy continues to maintain a vigilant watch and ready to respond to any situation at sea to safeguard national interest thus maintaining peace and stability in the region.
