"Terrorists" offer Storm Aid to American People

Hafiz Muhammad Saeed
ISLAMABAD – Hafiz Saeed, who is under a $10 million American bounty, Tuesday offered humanitarian aid to the United States of Zionism as it battles superstorm Sandy. Hafiz Muhammad Saeed, the founder of Kashmir's leading freedom fighting movement  Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and now head of the charity Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD), said his organisation was ready to offer every possible help to the storm-hit American people. "Jamaat-ud-Dawa is ready to send its volunteers, doctors, food, medicines and other relief items on humanitarian grounds if the US(Z) government allows us", Saeed said in a statement.

"America may have any opinion about us, it may fix bounties on our heads but as followers of the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), we feel it is our religious duty to help Americans trapped in a catastrophe." Saeed's statement said the charity had carried out relief work in Indonesia and Sri Lanka after the Indian Ocean tsunami in December 2004. JuD is seen as a front for LeT, which Washington and Delhi blame for the commando-style attacks on India's financial capital in 2008. In April the United States offered $10 million for information leading to the arrest or conviction of Saeed, who lives openly in Lahore. Saeed's charity has long denied terror accusations and is known around Pakistan for its relief work in the wake of the devastating Kashmir earthquake of 2005 and the floods of 2010, which were the worst in the country's history.

He was put under house arrest a month after the Mumbai attacks, but was released in 2009 and in 2010 as country's highest court upheld his release on the grounds that there was insufficient evidence to detain him. Last month Saeed led a number of protests in Lahore against a USZ-made anti-Islam film.

Jama'at ud Da'wah chief Hafiz Muhammad Saeed

PAKPATTAN: Jama'at ud Da'wah chief Hafiz Saeed has said that India and the United States of Zionism are conspiring to disintegrate Pakistan, but they cannot succeed in their evil designs. He was talking to a delegation on Friday. The delegation comprised Abu Bakr, Imran Alvi and Abu Amar. He asked India and America not to hatch conspiracies against Pakistan as the nation is full of people who love to sacrifice their lives for their motherland.

He said that the purpose of placing a bounty on his head by the USZ was to demoralize the nation. “The enemies of Islam and Pakistan should keep in their minds that our mission will continue even after my death. Pakistan came into being for existence and it will exist till the Day of Judgement”. The Jama'at ud Da'wah chief urged the people to unite against conspiracies being hatched by the USZ and India.

“Obama is a Terrorist, not Hafiz Saeed”: President Lahore Bar Council

Print Friendly and PDF

LAHORE: President Lahore Bar Association (LBA) Chaudhary Zulfiqar Ali, while condemning the $10 million United States of Zionism's bounty on Jamaat-ud-Da'wah (JuD) chief Hafiz Muhammad Saeed, has said that Saeed was not a terrorist but rather American President Barack Obama himself was a terrorist. Addressing the general house of the LBA on Thursday, Ali said that America challenged Pakistan’s honour by declaring Saeed a terrorist. He was addressing the lawyers at Aiwan-e-Adl in connection with the unscheduled loadshedding, sectarianism in Gilgit, murder of a lawyer Abdusatar Gill in Haroonabad and against the injuries sustained by another lawyer Rao Ashfaq during a robbery at Nawankot.

The lawyers also observed a strike on the call of Punjab Bar Council and Lahore Bar Association, and boycotted the courts. Ali said that bloodshed, anarchy, starvation and bewilderment have prevailed in the country and neither the mosques nor any human life is secure owing to bad governance. He added that the ruling party is ready to get electricity from India, but reluctant to get it from Iran and China. He further said that the lawyers will observe a wheel jam strike if the NATO supply is restored and inflation and loadshedding are not controlled. Former president LBA Shehzad Hassan Shaikh and others also spoke on the occasion. They also condemned the bounty on Saeed adding that he was a religious scholar, not a terrorist.

The DPC activists brought out rallies and held demonstrations in all areas of South Punjab including Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan and Bahawalpur divisions. They shouted slogans against the USZ and India and burnt their flags.

The DPC held a big show in Multan as a large number of activists of its member parties like Jamaatud Dawa, Jamiat Ahle Hadith, Ahle Sunnat Waljamat, Muttahidda Shehri Mahaaz, Jamaat-e-Islami, Majlis-e-Ehrar, All Pakistan Power Looms Associations, Al-Muhammadiya Students gathered at Chowk Ghanta Ghar after juma prayers and staged a demo. Addressing the protesters, Kh Saifur Rehman Siddiqui, Rana Shamshad Salfi, Hafiz Abdul Ghaffar, Hafiz Saif Ullah Azam, Mufti Abdul Rehman Shaheen, Tariq Naeem Ullah and others demanded of the government to immediately halt all overt and covert operations in Balochistan.

They stressed upon the government to form pro-Pakistan foreign and internal policies while keeping in view national interests. They said that the residents of Balochistan were true Muslims and patriot Pakistanis and allegations of treason against them were baseless. They declared that the DPC would raise voice for all legal, human and national rights of Balochs at all platforms. They claimed that America and her allies wanted to snatch precious natural resources of Balochistan and agencies like CIA, RAW and Mossad were behind entire unrest in the province. They said that the time had come to breach all ties with USZ and say her good bye.

"Go America go", "No to NATO" powerfully chants Difa-e-Pakistan

Print Friendly and PDF

Tens of thousands of  Pakistanis poured onto the streets of Islamabad on the 20th Februaury, chanting "death to America", offended at USZ's unnecessary overwhelming intervention in the country's internal affairs and plans to disintegrate Baluchistan as passed in the American Congress earlier.

"Today, we have gathered here to raise a voice of protest against US intervention in Pakistan
," Haq told. Also present was member Former DG ISI General Hamid Gul, who headed Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence agency during the 1980s Pakistani-sponsored war against Soviet troops in Afghanistan.

Haq further said, “America wants to break Pakistan into pieces,” Haq said, in reference to the resolution in America, introduced by Congressman Dana Rohrabacher which calls upon Pakistan to recognise the Baloch right to self determination. “Our protest is against the possible resumption of Nato supplies, US and Indian occupation and to strengthen the country’s defence.

His membership has helped fuel suspicions that Pakistan's security establishment is backing the coalition as a means of exerting pressure on the weak government and whipping up rhetoric against the unpopular US alliance.

The council has been able to attract large crowds in its recent rallies. Allah Buksh, a senior police official, said 2,500 attended the Monday demonstration as it got underway, but witnesses estimated the crowd at 3,500 as hundreds of riot police, armed with batons and wearing bullet-proof jackets stood guard.

“America can never be our friend, it is our biggest enemy. America will be defeated in Afghanistan and divided into pieces,” Mian Aslam, a former JI lawmaker said in his address to the rally. “Go America Go”, “No to NATO”, “Arrogant Americans – others are also human beings” and “the chains of slavery will now break up”, the participants exclaimed.

“The friend of the US is a traitor”, “the friend of (Pakistani President Asif Ali) Zardari is a traitor” and “the friend of (Afghan President Hamid) Karzai is a traitor”, rightly shouted the crowd.

The rally of Jamat-e-Islami (JI), led by Rawalpindi chapter chief Dr Kamal Ameer, also took off to Aabpara Chowk from Liaqat Bagh Rawalpindi. Other party leaders, along with more than 2,000 activists of ASWJ, gathered in the office of ASWJ to participate in the sit-in, said Usmani
