Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday accepted a petition for hearing seeking Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani’s disqualification.

The plea was filed in the LHC in which the petitioner took the stance that the Prime Minister received billions of rupees loans from Agriculture Development Bank, National Bank but did not pay them back.

The petitioner submitted that a person committing massive corruption cannot be elected as Prime Minister under the constitution. The court after admitting the petition sent notices to National Bank, Agriculture Development Bank and Attorney General to submit replies by April 11.
