PESHAWAR - At least seven mortar shells
were fired from Afghan soil which landed in the border area of Ghulam
Khan in North Waziristan Agency on Wednesday afternoon, security
officials said. They confirmed the shelling by unidentified people
believed to be Afghan security personnel, did not incur any casualties
to local residents. The shelling, according to the sources, continued
for several minutes. The mortar shells were fired from Tarkhobi area in
Afghanistan's Khost province.
Cross-border shelling by NATO's paid rats has heightened tension between Pakistan and Afghanistan as the two countries accuse each other of firing. Islamabad has been repeatedly asking Kabul to stop cross-border shelling, the Afghan puppet officials however deny any involvement and blame Pakistan for violating border sovereignty. Local officials said a dozen people including security personnel have been killed or injured following missile attacks by the American Puppet Afghan National Army and CIA's so-called "Afghan" mercenaries during the past months.
