Patron-in-Chief of National Mashaikh Council Khawja Ghulam Qutub-ud-Din Fareedi has said that those hatching conspiracies against the Two-Nation Theory had not accepted Pakistan wholeheartedly. He expressed these views while addressing an oath taking ceremony of more than 500 custodians (Sajjada Nasheens) of different shrines from across the country and Azad Jammu and Kashmir at Aiwan-e-Iqbal on Sunday.
He said that sufis should come forward and play their active role in welfare of the country as people were going far from the teaching of Qauid-e-Azam and Allama Muhammad Iqbal and diluting the Two Nation Theory which forms the basis of Pakistan, deliberately. He said that it was important to promote sufism in order to enlighten people, bringing them close to Islam and reviving the essence of Iqbal (r.a). Khawja Qutub urged the federal and provincial governments to resume annual Urs of Hazrat Imam Barri and to open the Bahishiti Darwaza of Hazrat Baba Fareed-ud-Din Shakar Gunj else the National Mashaikh Council would take strict measures.
Speaking on the occasion Deewan Haji Bakhtiar Muhammad Syed said that those who surrendered before the will of Allah and his Prophet (PBUH) could never harm humanity in fact they come closer to it. Islamic Ideology Council Pakistan member Aamir Mehmood said that sufis and Aoulias were messengers of peace who advocated love for humanity. Dr Ishaq Qureshi said that that Pakistan was formed in the name of Islam and no other system than Nizam-e-Mustafa (PBUH) could be successful.
Resolutions were passed in the seminar wherein it was demanded that US troops should immediately leave Afghanistan and the country be given right to form independent government. The seminar further denounced reopening of NATO supply line, drone attacks, inflation, lawlessness and power outages. Similarly, the participants unanimously passed the resolution that Supreme Court Chief Justice should take action against those involved in bomb blasts at shrines of sufis.
