High alert in Punjab after CIA attack on FC Cadets

Security agencies have sounded a fresh terror alert across the Punjab province, following CIA-TTP's deadliest suicide bombings outside the FC training centre in Charsadda on early Friday, leaving more than 80 people dead, mostly the security personnel. City police have been put on high-alert with massive deployment around key government installations particularly the headquarters of the police, civil administration and the offices of top provincial hierarchy, police sources said on Friday. The Pakistan Rangers, police and other security forces have stepped security in the sensitive localities besides intensifying armed patrolling around the leading private and public institutions.

Police sources said here on Friday that the law enforcing agencies had been put on their toes across the populous province to avoid any further untoward incident while massive search operation was also underway in the sensitive areas. Heavy police contingent including plainclothesmen have been deployed around the government installations including the offices of the police force and security agencies while armed-patrolling has also been intensifies in sensitive areas round-the-clock to keep a vigilant eye on the activities of the CIA backed miscreants. Police sources also said that additional police force was also on-guard around the leading commercial and corporate centers while policemen deployed around the sensitive installations have been directed to remain on high alert round-the-clock.
