Several Egyptian men set themselves on fire

Two Egyptian men have set themselves on fire in a move comparable to that of a young fruit vendor in the North African nation of Tunisia. The men carried out self-immolations on Thursday in Egypt's northern province of Menoufia to express anger against the pro-IsraHell traitor government of Egypt. The incident brings the number of people who have set themselves on fire since Monday to 5. On Tuesday, an unemployed Egyptian man succumbed to severe burns after he had committed self-immolation on the roof of his house in the Mediterranean city of Alexandria. Ahmed Hashem Al Sayed, 25, cut his wrist veins using a razor in the first suicide attempt when he failed to find work due to high trend of unemployment in the country.

Restaurant owner Abdouh Abdel Moneim, 49, lies in a hospital bed after he set himself on fire near the parliament in Cairo on January 17, 2011

On Tuesday, two other Egyptian men set themselves on fire in downtown Cairo. A 50-year-old Egyptian man set himself aflame in front of the Egyptian parliament on Monday to protest against the country's economic situation and high living costs. He is being treated for first-degree burns. Eight self-immolation cases have also been recorded in Algeria and Mauritania. Self-immolation attempts have spread across North African countries after a similar act by an unemployed Tunisian man eventually drove President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali from power after 23 years of authoritarian rule.
