20 USZ-led soldiers killed, several injured - 2 Tanks destroyed in Afghanistan - Death toll hits 234 in January 2011


According to the latest reports coming from Graveyard of Empires, in Laghman province, at least A Dozen USZ soldiers were killed and several others wounded during a fierce battle between Taliban Mujahideen and the invading forces on Thursday afternoon.

The fighting occurred in Alingar district of the province at about 2 o’clock in the afternoon, in which a Mujahid is said to have been martyred. The exact number of wounded soldiers couldn't be determined since the remaining soldiers dragged the wounded with them while scramming from the battlefield.

According to another report, yesterday, a roadside bomb blast ripped into a tank of NATO soldiers in Dargi district of Khost province early on Thursday evening, killing 3 invaders and critically wounding 2 more who later on succumbed to their injuries, Mujahideen spies confirmed.


On the other hand, in Chamtal district of Balkh province, at least 3 USZ soldiers were torn to pieces when their tank got hit by an IED. The blast completely totaled the tank which was left in furious diesel flames. Mujahideen sources mentioned in their online reports that due to lack of efficient command and control system, Mujahideen were not able to report all the deaths of the invader forces and the figures which have been so far reported could be more than 10 times what even Mujahideen have reported so far.

As a result of yesterday's carnage, the allied death toll in the Graveyard of Empires has hit 234 in January alone.
